Hi Chris I just buy janso just finished all ready for the ride . I like your video's help understand the pad speed oh yes I took the two wire apart under the sit . Keep your videos coming cheer's from London Ontario
Awesome. Remember to watch this controller box close up video. The controller WILL DIE in the rain, unless you close up that controller box. The best best is to put a piece of plastic or something to block the hole from the tire spray and at least tape up the hole in the controller box. It's an easy 10 minute fix. Once it's fixed I've ridden in literally torrential downpours with zero problems.
Hey that's a great idea. It's actually more durable. But recently I literally went out in a rain storm like monsoon season on the Ho Chi Mihn trail with LETERALLY garbage I taped and zip tied on there and the box was bone dry. It boggles the mind why they wouldn't test this stuff as all the other components, Ie display, throttle, turn signals, etc. Came through with flying colours. Keep that rubber side down brother. Take care.
Nice to see a new video! Wow, it seems unbelievable they missed such a thing. They must have given it a test-drive on a wet road you'd think and seen the results. Water ingress into a controller box doesn't sound too good.
Yeah it boggles the mind. I'm trying to do a review and upgrades to this bike I got it a month ago. Doesn't help that 10 days after I got it it died. Now to Jansno's credit they were tout suite about sending out another controller and it came in 10 days. Maybe I should have done a controller swap video but I just wanted it up. I'm just processing an introduction and ride right now. It's a fast bike 48km/h no problem. It's actually a great bike that got let down by a 10 cent grommet and some duct tape. Lol. Now I have found a secondary sort of fender on Amazon for literally $10 so I may do a follow up video as I also have some foam rubber with an adhesive backing to make it look more professional. I'll wait a week and make sure it's actually working but so far with all the garbage and duct tape I've put on there just some tests in puddles and wet roads it's working fine and is dry as a bone inside now. As I said it's going to get really expensive for Jansno to constantly be sending out controllers at $60 USD a pop because someone went through a puddle.
Really nice looking ebike, especially with the mag wheels. Shame they left a huge hole for water to get into the controller and for sure cause damage at some point. Luckily, you've checked out the bike and found this issue and made people aware of the problem. Because as you know, some people would just buy the bike and never look around it and eventually end up costing them a new controller down the road. I will be looking forward to seeing you upgrade the brakes. What ones did you have in mind for the upgrade? It's awesome you're getting a nice bit of speed out that beast and a steady 30 cruising. Great to see you put a new video and please take care out there sir and all the best 😎 👍
Yeah no worries. Only cost me one controller, but Jansno sent it under warranty. This is a serious design flaw. I'm using the tried and true zoom HB-100's I've had good luck with them and I'll do a video on them as some people are getting confused on how to adjust them when the pads wear down and end up screwing up the action of the calipers. I already have them maybe I'll put them on tomorrow. and pump out another video now that the bike is running again.
