- With the Re-Guitar plug-in, you can emulate many kinds of guitar tones (electric or acoustic), regardless of the solid body guitar model used for recording. You can replace your pickups or dig the body on the fly, without the need to touch your guitar!

The single coil tele to acoustic is extremely impressive. Nice plugin. I own quite a few BCA plugins and have always considered them secret weapons. The dynamics plugin is incredible and so often overlooked.
Thanks!
This is simply amazing. Congratulations guys.
Thanks a ton!
I might get this, but I'm not telling my wife about it.
Why not? :-)
@@bluecataudio because no new guitars anymore then. simple
This is awesome! I have a few modeling guitars like the Variax, and I love the ability to change between different guitar sounds on a single guitar, but sometimes I wish there was stuff that let you do that on a normal guitar. Maybe it won't be as 100% as separating all 6 strings and processing them, but getting a tele sound out of a les paul, or a les paul sound out of a strat, is pretty amazing.
Thank you for this awesome plugin!
you have my attention
Good!
Could probably get close with a random EQ, but still very nice and helpful to have a an interface dedicated to this.
It would probably require quite a bit of work to get the right tone!
Not exactly, it changes really the sound characteristics of the guitar
Great idea!!! Now past three years... Were there any good updates/additions to the plugin? Thinking of investing in this plugin...
There has been three updates since the initial release. The core features have remained unchanged, but like all our software, we try to keep it up to date and improve it regularly!
I've a question, how good is it at changing active pickups into something else?
If it is good at that, I might finally get some versatility out of these EMGs. Thanks in advance.
It should work pretty well, as you can adjust the response by ear, but it depends on the exact model. You may want to try out the demo and see if it works well with your own instrument.
One question please...is very important, what happens when i select the option: "humbucker to sound like a single coill" but my guitar already has single coils...does it sound even thinner? I dont know if im being clear.... Applying the "humbucker to a single coil" to a single coil not to a Humbucker...what is the result?
It will indeed probably sound thinner indeed!
Will this plug in work with piezoelectric pick-up on 1. solid to 2. Hollowed out body electric guitars?
It won't work very well with a piezo pickup as input, as it is usually located in the bridge of the guitar. There is no problem with hollow body guitars with magnetic pickups though.
Any chance you'll be making this type of vst for us lowly bass players?!
Have you tried Re-Guitar on your bass guitar? It works pretty well too!
@@bluecataudio No. Definitely going to. I'm just wondering if there is going to be one specifically for bass.
@@makedigitalmoney68 It's not in the plans right now but maybe in the future!
So it opens in my DAW even if I don’t have Axiom?
Indeed. It exists as a standalone plug-in: www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_ReGuitar/
GREAT PLUGIN but need more improvement in tone depth, characteristics, and acoustic simulated tone
Thanks for the comment.
Is it possible to make a bridge pickup sound like a neck pickup with this?
No, you cannot change the position of the pickups, as it requires to have access to all 6 strings signals separately (that's the way the Roland and Variax guitars work)
@@bluecataudio - Thanks for clearing that out. Appreciate it 😊
Hello, which pickup is the p90J ? A jazzmaster pickup ?
It is a LP Junior-style P90, with a bit more mid range than the other P90 model.
@@bluecataudioThank you
how would it sound if from acoustic to any other pick ups?
Using an acoustic as input may work if you tweak the tone quite a bit, but it was not designed for that particular case.
bluecataudio but will it change the sound of an acoustic sound to lets say a humbucker? Even just a little?
Works with GarageBand?
Yes it should
Can emulate fender jaguar pickup
I guess you can probably get something similar using the "custom" pickup view and move around the various single coil pickups available.
If the narration on this isn't done by Mac McDonald then you have a vocal double
Who knows...
Does this work with an semi acoustic guitar?
What do you mean by semi-acoustic?
@@bluecataudio it's an acoustic guitar with a built in recorder
@@flazo9152 There is no acoustic input correction on the plug-in, so while the acoustic simulations may sound ok with it, you will not get realistic electric guitar sounds (it's easier to add body simulation than remove actual body resonances)
@@bluecataudio I want my accoustic to sound like an electric lol
@@flazo9152 That's not an easy thing. I don't think the plug-in will help you much to do that.
If you use a acoustic ir this will sound just like a acoustic guitar
Indeed. But the problem with IRs is that they also include the sound of the room etc. So it might not always work as expected, and it's not always easy to tweak them.
It takes time to create good sound my sound is spot on with a acoustic
I prefer the Sim one xt1
It's a different approach... And not the same price!
though this was a vsti instead its just effects - much disappointment :(
It can also be used to enhance or modify the sound of a guitar VSTi (switching pikcups). But it sill indeed not produce sound by itself!
@@bluecataudio Works great with RealLPC.
