30 minutes with Re-Guitar, wow! Thanks for the review! The acoustic tones sound weird because they go into an amp sim, so they sound like and acoustic guitar plugged into an electric guitar amp :-).

what meaning single and single bright? How use it?
@@BlackSide13 single is for regular single coils, and single bright for brighter single coil pickups. It's also a matter of taste :-)

Hi Henning - good to see you are well! Having seen your review on the Axiom software, I bought the,( 'Le' ) software package yesterday to run on my iMac Pro 27 inch desktop, using Logic ProX. I followed the progress of your time in getting the right finish and settings on your signature Harley Benton guitar and placed my order to get a first release Harley Benton HP42 signature model in beautiful green maple, with a wonderfully finished roasted maple neck.I wanted to have this model because being a life-long animal lover - I wanted to get hold of one of the guitars with the paw print on the headstock. It's a beautiful guitar to play and I can lose track of time if I'm not careful!! I have yet to use this guitar with Axiom, as having only bought the software yesterday, I picked up my PRS 'Pauls guitar' and spent most of the day just checking out what presets and settings were available.I had a look briefly at the Re-Guitar settings and was blown away at what is possible! This software section is on its own worth the price of the whole Axiom software at €199 Euro including VAT. The whole package is a steal at that price ( £175 GBP). Being locked in at home in self-isolation because of this horrendous Covid-19 pandemic for the next 12 weeks ( because of my age group and under-lying health problems ), it looks as if I've got plenty of time to play with Axiom and all of my guitars. Are you thinking of releasing a more in-depth review on the Late Replies Delay and Reverb section? Keep up the great work in releasing your video reviews - its always good to see an alert appearing in my inbox to say that you have uploaded another video(s). Stay safe and stay inside if you can!!
Personally, I prefer a good EQ pedal, parametric even better.
I deadly need a guitar EQ pedal(to turn my guiar's humbuckers into single coil), please suggest me a good one. How about Keyztone exchanger?
@@hyderameer5109 I have the Sim One and it's amazing. It's more of a guitar profiler kinda like the Kemper. There is also a massive free library of guitar profiles on their site as well. It honestly will make my $200 junk guitar sound identical to anything.
Gotta admit, when I first started listeningt to this review, I was thinking "could just noodle around with an EQ to get the same result". Boy was I wrong. This thing is pretty damn cool.
ya it seems to totally change the color of the pickup which cant be done by normal eq.Do you know if it works with active humbucker pickups as well.
@@ray1ashwin Yes it works perfect with them as well. Trick is you have to calibrate it. I have a calibration for all my guitars where I save a patch and turn the lock on. Takes less than 30sec to calibrate it. Basically select your actual input pickup, then select the same pickup as ouptut target. Then adjust the gain/tone until it sounds the same on and off. And yes the acoustic stuff works amazingly well. Recorded into a track no one would know it wasn't an acoustic or a piezo, and same for humbuckers, you can make them feel like SC and dial in that SRV tone on a Les Paul

I've had it the better part of a year and have a number of patches that just make me smile that I've contoured to my rig.... but I've barely scratched the surface.. You have impressed me with your mastery of tech quite often... so thanks again !
I dont think its just an eq cos it seems to change the color and the quality of the tone too.
Hi just watched your review and noticed when you did the acoustic test you had the hollow body switched off ...have you tried it with this function switched on .i noticed a huge difference 👍

Have you reviewed the Reguitaring system in BiasFX 2 ?
I've got it and it's really hard to figure out what it's doing. I setup its pickups with one of my old guitars so I could play the old guitar on the new one and still get that sound. It sounds identical when it's a very flat, clean tone. But once you start adding in other signal processing, I can't tell any difference from any pickup. Also, it crashed constantly and was very unstable. It's interface is no where near as good as the Bluecat. I've downloaded it for an evaluation and see if I can use with Bias FX/Amp that I have. There's a lot of good things with Bias, but its guitar match seems kind of tacked on and not as well developed I'm sad to say.

I've downloaded the eval and look forward to trying this Re-Guitar out the rest of the weekend. I want to proof of concept its use with real guitar pedals and amp sims. I'm going to try guitar to direct in on the audio interface to the re-guitar, then output that to my guitar pedals, then route that either into a second input on the audio interface to a different channel containing the Bias FX amp sim software and see how that turns out (or into my Bias Mini amp which would be a second audio interface). If it works out good enough, I might try to rig a 4-cable method with my effects and the computer and see what I can pull off creatively with it.
I dont need this. I am a Live - Session - Player and to feel a 335 in a live Situation is better, as hunt for a little soundchange.

It's a no from me I'm afraid Henning - the acoustic sounds should've been through an acoustic amp (but you knew that anyhoo...) I'll stick to my Variax thanks :-)

And perhaps if you get recordings from someone else with a guitar DI track, you have the chance to reamp this virtually with another „guitar“, without the need for re-recording the guitar track.

Why do ricky pickups always get put in humbucker...they are single coils!
I would have liked to hear the acoustic sims without the amp sim but also with the hollowbody settings engaged.
The acoustic sims are MUCH better with hollow body engaged. This is a great walkthrough but does not do the acoustic tones justice.

With an EMG 81 in the bridge it actually got much closer to acoustic. Seems like it really depends on your pickup. Also i did just use it on the di without any amp sim so that might be a big factor too^^ But for me, who can't afford a different guitar let alone multiple ones this is a decent alternative just to get some different flavors. I got one single emg 81 in the bridge and thats it. At least i can get some cleans now :D
Trick for anyone reading this later down the road. Read the manual first. You have to zero out your humbucker to the base humbucker, and single coil with the base single coil. If setup properly you can turn the plugin on and off and not hear a difference. Once that is set, everything works pretty well like it's supposed to. Acoustics legit sound acoustic, and my EMG 81, or my Dimarzio passives can sound dead set like a Strat. If only they could have an expansion to restore the completely lost dynamics of my EMG pickups lol. I should give their dynamics plugin a go to see if this works, because I'm tired of relying on my hardware expander it's getting old.

One question: how do you connect the guitar to use "re guitar", direct to the audio card then the plugin and then an amp + cab simulator, or do you connect your guitar to an amplifier + mic and then to the audio card. How do you recommend using it? Thanks!
