Need to make the switch to elevated track like the Bachamnn ezee / Marklin C , far better for newbies. ideal for floors etc. A basic IET / azuma set is required.
The hst is definitely lovely! Id go for that rather than the 040 sets as im a more serious modeller, but i can see kids coming to the hobby loving the little locos, especially the coca cola train set! Tt looks great by the way 🎉
I just got the 390 train pack is that a good starting train?

Hornby, all great sets - but would you consider making a smaller starter set in TT120 with an 0-6-0 or 0-4-0 loco and two or three wagons and a siding. Small radius enough to fit on most tables, and play all day long. Like the older Triang TT Jinty goods sets, kind of thing. I love the starter sets in OO and have at least four or five in various vintages, but third radius is a bit too big for many modern desks/tables. I run my 0-4-0 starter sets on specially built (flexitrack) loops on 3'x2' boards, as I don't have room for much more, unless it's end to end. The Old Hymek runs very well round it, as do bogie wagons. My main Desk is a standard 800mm deep x 1000mm wide. I would buy more sets, if they fit comfortably in this space. I can't be the only one. Anyway, many thanks! Perhaps a special range that can do smaller radius curves, like Rokuhan do with their "Shorty" range for tighter curves and smaller spaces. I'd love to see something like that.
TT isn't perfect, and you know it. N Gauge is much better quality than that. There's no such thing as a perfect train set. What's great for beginners is something you've gone and left behind on ebay: the Hornby Thomas the Tank Engine Clockwork train set. We can all understand why. Please reintroduce the Clockwork Train Sets, they are a great way forward for young children.
Ebay is your friend, purchase any Hornby c1970- early 90s. Current tat from China Hornby is a joke, poor quality, lack of spare parts and poor longevity.
TT HST sets just in time for Xmas 🎅🏻
Make more good videos like this rather than your weird ai voice UA-cam shorts 😂
Beautiful demonstration layouts 🤩👍 great sets too!
Great Video! I will send this to all my family so they know what to get me for Christmas 😉
Go for a set with at least 1 siding, just so you can do some shunting rather than just watch a train chasing its tail.

Nearly every set is the shite red 0-4-0 😅
Very misleading showing the layouts rather than what you are getting
