Halloween was the best back in the 70’s and 80’s…. You had the scary movies and trick or treating going on….. I’m 53 now and to this day it’s my favorite holiday! I still dress up to hand out candy and I take vacation the week of Halloween to watch scary movies….. I can’t break tradition

I used to cut grass for an elderly Jewish lady in around 1980 to 82...It was $10 for only about an hour's worth of work. Loved the older folks...and she'd even give me a couple of beers after I did the job (I was only 16 or so....my attitude was hey, take what you can get). She'd feed me like a king too! Rest in peace Mrs. Dobo. Side note: She escaped from Auschwitz. She showed me her tattoo once. She WAS the REAL deal.
I agree. Halloween during the 70's&80's were the best. Around 60 to 70 kids would come to our house for treats every Halloween. Now, you're lucky to get 10 kids.🎃
I was 7 when this came out. We had a lot of fun growing up in the 70’s. We would get so excited waiting for the holiday specials to come on. Those were the days.
I turned 13 years old on October 14th of 1977 and I will be 60 on this October 14th 2024 and this really brings back the great memories of the 70's Thanks. 🎃🎂🎃
Maybe my math's off but I was born 9-3-64 and turned 13 in 77. Just turned 60 last September. Oh well, good times those years, even had access to an IBM 370 at OC College. The system administrator let me and my friend use the terminals during off class hours if we got a passing grade on an APL course. What a first dive into the wonderful world of computing. We even talked about putting together a Fat Albert text adventure--
I'll 51 tomorrow.. I've told my daughter that I had to have my rear end in front of the TV if I wanted to see these shows back then. We didn't have a VCR until about '83 or '84, and there was no Cartoon Network, DVD's, UA-cam, streaming, etc., etc.,... Miss it? Try again next year.

I remember watching this in 77, we had just moved to Arizona, and Oct.77 would mark it a year there and I recall saying where am I going to go Trick or Treating in this small town, it's all Desert out here, but we managed . but they where good memories from the 70s, it seemed there where a lot more kids T&T back then, now as an old man I Hardley see any, in fact Last year none at all.

I remember this, I was 5 yrs old, I'm 52 now. Parts i remembered were Mudfoot eating their candy, and them two sitting comfortably on her vouch, snacking away.

I used to have this taped off of cable in the '80s. I remember the credits had a voiceover from Cosby saying that this was special was produced when trick-or-treating at strangers' homes was safe, but that was now no longer the case. Anybody else remember that?
