  • Once again I 'borrowed' from everyone to put together a tribute. BUT IT'S JAN OPPERMAN!
If you see your stuff here, take it as a compliment- I looked hard all over , and have been saving since before I found myself doing videos. In order to fit this music, I had to cut some excellant pics (that was not easy).
Consider this a 'first try' on an Opperman tribute. It's really my second effort, but I wish to really nail the "point" of what Jan really wanted us to remember.

I was lucky to see him in action on the track he was sprint car racing .we lost him way to early .his battles with Kenny weld were legendary. They were both great drivers .but watching jan at Terre haute in. Running the cushion was great

I got to see Jan run Tulsa speedway back in late 70s. I didn't know who he was but my buddy told me. We always like having out of towners come in and race. I don't remember how he finished but I do remember him putting on a show. rip

I met Jan for the first time when I was very young in Beaver Springs, PA. And through the years, I watched him run the #99 and the #4. When I started racing, I ran the #4 on my car. Thank you for this video, it was well done.

His talents from God included skills with race cars, and people who needed to understand the concept of forgiveness, in the modern day world. "Legend" he is, and any film of him I find, WILL be posted here, unless someone beats me to it.

I've heard from many who competed with Jan that if the right rear tire had air in it he had a chance to win.

running open tube injector stacks with out filters doesnt sound like a good idea, one clod of dirt down the engine, means a rebuild, back in those days a GM short block were cheap though
