When you do things wrong, the mistakes cost you A LOT, no matter how big you are.
If you don't belive me just look how the New England Patriots and New York Giants gone from fight each other for the superbowl to fight each other for the 1st round pick in the draft.
Another example, look how the Fc Barcelona just have the best 10 years in their history between 2005-2015. And since 2016 its a slow and painfull downfall, from have the best attack trio with Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez to get blow up after blow up in Champions League, also getting elimimated in group stage, and also cannot even win the UEFA Europa League.

      Finally!!!!
I agree. After the penalties which NASCAR threw at SHR in rapid fire succession and the optics which gave the perception that NASCAR was targeting SHR and Tony Stewart in particular, I think Stewart had begun his exit strategy.
NASCAR never thought much of Tony Stewart. The two never saw eye to eye.
The first crack was the time when Stewart had won at Martinsville on a very hot day. Stewart was exhausted.
Now, NASCAR protocol was that once the race was concluded, the driver had to take the car to the winner's circle. PArk the car and then wait until the end of the post checkered flag commercial break, usually 5 mins, before exiting the car. Stewart was burning up and he got out and sat on the ground with his back to the door of the car. He did his post race interview from that position. NASCAR management was not happy. Another time Stewart referred to NASCAR management as "The redneck mafia"....That one got him called onto the carpet in Daytona Beach. I believe Stewart had to make a public apology for that remark. Of course his people wrote the statement .
And lets face it, Stewart, wasnt exactly a most favored son because he came to NASCAR from Indy Car. And he never became Obedient to the NASCAR masters,

There are 8 two car teams, and 2 one car teams. There are only 3 four car teams, and 2 three car teams. It is shocking SHR is leaving the sport, but when you look at the owners, it makes sense. Haas increased his stake in F1, which ain't cheap, and Stewart is following his trajectory into the drag racing business...so not sure how you've concluded this is NASCAR's doing, or undoing. What does an 'old school' series look like? The CARS tour? For the Cup series, the attendance is up, the sponsors are up, the TV is the largest in the history of the sport, because more eyeballs are watching. Just because you're not happy with the changes, doesn't mean they are all bad.

They have taken the feel from the Right Rear drivers and given it all to Simulator programed drivers. I'm sure you don't understand that. Families like the Elliotts, a Junie Donlavey, Alan Kulwicki are "Old School NASCAR" that could never make it in the sport nowadays.

@@zippoflint8688 To be a top tier racing series, you need to act like a top tier racing series. Going back to the 'good ol' days' ain't gonna cut it. You need more eyeballs on the sport than the deep south...it's just a fact. If you want NASCAR to survive, you need to change with the advent of newer technologies. I also think you're dead wrong in your statement about the Elliots and Kulwicki...I think they would definitely make it in today's environment. In 1974 I had a Plymouth Satellite...worked on that 318 every night. Today I drive a Nissan Altima...and never raise the hood. Top tier racing is highly technical today. Most likely Trackhouse will get one. I think that spire might get one as well along with what he said the guy above me.

I think trackhouse gets one and puts Zane smith in it and gets rid of Daniel suarez for svg, 23xi buys one and puts Corey heim in it, front row buys one and puts either terrible herbst in it or josh berry, and I think rcr will buy the last one and put either Noah gragson or Austin hill in it depending on if Dillon retires

I think that 2 charters go to Front Row, 1 goes to Trackhouse, and the fourth goes to 23Xl.
As for where the drivers go, Briscoe to the 21, Gragson and Berry to FRM, Preece IDK.

This is not nearly as big a deal as the Furniture Row shut down. This is just owners that don’t care to do it anymore. Furniture Row was an indictment of NASCAR that the defending champions couldn’t see a reasonable way forward.

NASCAR race teams need to know they can comfortably make a profit. NASCAR must listen to the teams and the requests of these businesses or more will fall. This is not a hobby, it’s business.

It wasn’t that Stewart became uninterested, he became disheartened in the direction NASCAR was headed and truthfully I see the sport evolving into a more formula one racing style where you have the ingenuity engineered out of racing! You can’t modifying these cars in any way! Push the rules and you face incredible fines and insurmountable penalties, which eventually will lead to smaller audiences! If they stay on this path NASCAR will be a shell of itself and possibly become a has been!

As a Briscoe fan, I wouldn’t mind seeing him go to RFK or even 23XI. Both teams seem to have their sh*t together, and I want Briscoe to finally get in a car that can be consistently decent.

if the rumors about Austin Dillon moving upstairs are true, wouldn't mind seeing Briscoe join RCR to race alongside Kyle Busch. RFK is set with two cars and I think Heim makes the most sense for 23XI, but whoever gets Briscoe should be happy.
