Boy..how did you get the full versions of these, Kabillion? Through the Clokey Family? I'm real impressed! Now I know after seeing the two parts made in 1962 of these (and the third one of 1955's debut, "Moon Trip"), where the pieces of the story, uh, really FIT!
I agree, I remember seeing many of these shorts in parts back when I was a kid. Now I see how they all fit in one story. I wonder how Art Clokey's family is doing? I already know that he passed away 5 years ago. I just wish he didn't divorced his first wife, I hate divorces. But hey, it was his decision anyway, but still. I still can't believe he voiced Pokey and Prickle on Gumby Adventures, I was surprised when I learned about that.
Joshua Landez He also voiced them ikn the 1967 titles and did Pokey in the 1955-56 episodes. Most of the stock music is from Jack Shaindlin,as I found out on APM.com/Cinemusic. A lot of this turned up in Yogi Bear cartoons. Also, of course, Capitol/Seely's stock music which a few years later wound up (as did the last two cues used, by Phil Green and Bill Loose) in the in six WB cartoons in 1958 due to a music strike, and also in 1960 Tang ads with Bugs Bunny and the gang.
It wasn't just seeing them in parts, but more like two versions of the same story. I didn't mind as a kid, but it just didn't make much sense. Glad to see Clokey actually knew what he was doing.
While I can't say how Kabillion Got them (likely though NCircle Entertainment), I have read that these Full Versions were produced in 2005-2006 by editing together the half episodes (and are thus not perfect reproductions). At the time, the original full versions (which were split for syndication) were believed to have been lost; but on a side note, the originals seem to have since been found and have been released on DVD in Australia (Kabillion however seems to be using the 2005-2006 imperfect restorations).
In Gumbasia, at the park, Gumby and Pokey were out for a lark, Saw a lion running by, Fearing for his life. "Help me! Help me!" the lion did yak, "Before that zookeeper nabs me back!" "Come, little lion," Gumby said, "I'll protect you well."
For 30 years, I've been wondering what parts were missing from this episode! Thanks for sharing the full version!

I like these earliest episodes, and I'm glad that these are now also on Kabillion. These episodes are for all the dreamers.
This used to be my childhood favorite show
Mine too! Did you ever try to make Gumby out of clay? I did I loved him.
I'm getting a license plate frame that says. " Gumbasia "

Gumby sure was comfortable getting into random cars; I can see where they got the concept of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. O_o
8:39 when your friend doesn’t give you ice cream but he gives it to your worst enemy.
In Gumbasia, at the park,
Gumby and Pokey were out for a lark,
Saw a lion running by,
Fearing for his life.
"Help me! Help me!" the lion did yak,
"Before that zookeeper nabs me back!"
"Come, little lion," Gumby said,
"I'll protect you well."
Does George Carlin voice the Lion? It almost sounds like Him.
NO! ANd Clokey would NEVER ALLOW it..too vulgar, besides George was a teenage then. Art Clokey does.
@@SteveCarras I don't know, George Carlin narrated Thomas The Tank Engine, another kid's show.
5:45 looks very wrong
P. S. I need a new gumbometer.
"Drop dead ya bastards I am Gumby dammit!!"
The lion's name is "Richard," like Lionel Ritchie?
omg at 5:37 Gumby turns into a penis! And Richard the Lion sounds like George Carlin.
The lion really does sound like Carlin!
Yes!
Gumby is way bigger than the lion? What’s he scared about?
In between 5:37 and 5:38 gumby is a dildo for a brief moment.
Dont let this idiot lion drive again
With all due respect, possibly the worst Gumby ever.
