Everyone keep in mind, that the beginning is NOT exactly the most demanding part of the game, im also playing with a 3080, using the FIRST PERSON MOD, keyboard and mouse, and in the first part of the game i ran 1440p DLSS QUALITY WITHOUT RAYTRACING and high settings preset, but the further i got in the game, the lower i had to put the settings, in the area before the first pyramid head encounter, i have ended at optimized settings (mostly medium) with DLSS BALANCED, which looks a lot worse, to get at least 70-90 fps, for example the torch you have to use in the later parts of the game all the time takes A LOT of performance.. and the harder the game gets, the less latency you can afford to have.. i just kept dying in one spot with a lot of enemies, before i finally gave up and switched the DLSS from QALITY to BALANCED to get less latency..
You should show the game running with optimized settings. Setting it to max is not indicative of what most people will be doing, and max settings are often extremely heavy for little gain on visuals. I'd suggest something like medium settings with RT on and RT off at various resolutions. And DLSS Perf and DLSS Balanced at 4k. It's more work maybe but this is what I would do when testing out my 3080 with a new game to see what is acceptable.
Yeah I'm gonna be trying 4k/high/rt off/dlss performance on 3080. maybe mid of some settings like shadows or volumetric fog usually gains 20-30% performance over ultra.
oyyy i'm glad their pushing forward and trying to stop people from holding back the industry with old cards so it's nice that the recommended settings are a 2080ti and a 6800xt can't wait to run this on a 8800 XT or w/e it's called with hopefully ray tracing to match a 4070 ti in 1440p
I play it at 1240x768 with everything on high and a smooth and fluid 30 fps and my 3080 works at 50% with a temperature of 55 degrees. I discovered the alternative when my monitor broke down and I connected my old CTR, which at low resolutions looks great. hahaha
did you undervolt your GPU. I have the same CPU and GPU and my temps hit around 73 degrees with RTX Off and game on High preset averaging around 60 fps around town. But as soon as you encouter any monsters you see the Temps go up to like 78 degree and then back down after you kill the monster.
Thanks, I have this GPU and boy did I over pay for it. LMAO. I will still play this game, word is it is not the phoned in cash grab we all expected from Konami. Steam deck probably has no hope of running it but I still want try.
If you turn off RTX and supersampling this game should work fine, i saw on youtube a guy playing it on 1650s and visual the game was look fine and was very fluid. I have a 3070ti and everything highest setting on 1080p, i dont have any stutters at all but i have 48gb ram and just a 3700x.

@@Javs_Tech Gave it a shot today after playing for a few hours on PC. 30fps with dips is possible, but only at max battery drain. So like 90 minutes to 2 hours of game time. Maybe there will be a proton fix later on. But at launch FSR1 and TSR are the only upscaling solutions in the options on deck. Dynamic resolution scaling is missing too. On my windows PC I have every upscaler available. The deck should support Xess and FSR 3. So I am not sure why they are not available. As well HDR support is missing. Devs did not turn on cloud saves, so 3rd party syncing software will be needed if you plan to play on multiple devices. I ended up not using an upscaler and going into the advance graphics, Setting everything to meduim, low shadows, no ssao, and the resolution scale to 66%. The game looks very good even at low settings on the small screen.
already finished the game and i can tell you that this intro where you start by the toilet is most difficult part of the game to run. most of the time you get 40% more FPS throught out the game

@@Javs_Tech i was able to beat it in about 10 hours, it's not really twice as long, but it's 100 times better than what a expected from bloober team tbh.
