Without recording plus 3-5 fps. The game looks amazing on UE 5 with Lumen GI and reflections. Watch Silent Hill 2 Ultra VS Optimized Settings on 3080 video here: ua-cam.com/video/nH0Guq4F_LQ/v-deo.html
Everyone keep in mind, that the beginning is NOT exactly the most demanding part of the game, im also playing with a 3080, using the FIRST PERSON MOD, keyboard and mouse, and in the first part of the game i ran 1440p DLSS QUALITY WITHOUT RAYTRACING and high settings preset, but the further i got in the game, the lower i had to put the settings, in the area before the first pyramid head encounter, i have ended at optimized settings (mostly medium) with DLSS BALANCED, which looks a lot worse, to get at least 70-90 fps, for example the torch you have to use in the later parts of the game all the time takes A LOT of performance.. and the harder the game gets, the less latency you can afford to have.. i just kept dying in one spot with a lot of enemies, before i finally gave up and switched the DLSS from QALITY to BALANCED to get less latency..
@@DanteBellin Yeah, cause it's compiling shaders every time something new appears, I experienced way worse traversal stutters in Dead Space Remake (it was horrible way worse than Callisto Protocol and they never fixed it unlike in Callisto where it was completely fixed one month after release) but when I played Dead Space remake new game plus playthrough second time they have completely gone.
@@DanteBellin and the game isn't out yet officially for the regular version, so hopefully they will patch it, but yeah it has it's problems right now..
Uhh the horrible lag spikes are crazy in this game. I wouldn't even play it for free in this state. RIP to all those that paid 90 bucks for early access lol
lol it's "only" 80 bucks and it's not early access, you pay more to play it on time and 70 is for late access! Unfortunately, more and more companies are engaging in this shady practice.
probably a €500 gpu still. Not exactly budget. This doesn't look any more impressive than a resident evil game though so the performance is a headscratcher.
@@Acesbomb Exactly! The Resi Remakes are far superior than this from a technical aspect. The RE Engine is really great and performs fantastic and super smooth!
I just tested this game for about 80 minutes and then refunded it. Look at that weird ghosting around James while he is moving... No matter what your settings are, that ghosting is persistent. And those typical UE5 traversal stutters... I'm so sick of it. Also, the animations are a lot worse than I thought. Disappointing Remake from a technical point of view.
@@ttwisterzz8807 I tried everything... Stutters are there, no matter what. Like every UE5 game on PC, which makes this engine pure garbage. I can't believe in 2024 devs are not capable to solve this issue.

Loving the frametime spikes.
classic UE 5 shader compilation stutters lol
@@jozadagames6818 Its not shader comp stutters, its traversal stutters, which sucks even more.

nasty ass ghosting with dlss quality and performance at 4k but not at 1440p for some reason...
High/mid graphics, dlss balance is the sweet spot right now for 3080 in most games
That’s my gpu with 5 years on shoulders🎉
5 years? The 3080 came out exactly 4 years ago
What changes between TSR and DLSS?
It looked good even on TSR, although I wanted to use DLAA at 1440p native, but there is no such option so that's why I used it.
It’s reaching almost 60fps on 4K DLSS P with RT on?! Holy shit. I’ll be having fun 🤩
This game has incredible graphics! Especially compared to the OG obviously, but still they did and amazing job.
@@jozadagames6818 dude thanks for uploading. I have a 10gb 3080 and was very keen on knowing how SH2 would perform. Glad

Game needs a pre shader compiler so bad. It's really afwul.
Agreed
is tsr native resolution ??
Yes
Looks like the performance is good on 3080
Yes, better than I thought
Native 1440p ultrawide, just barely 60fps with medium-high settings.
And ghosting even with Temporal Anti-Aliasing off.
Tuff 😢
we still have atleast 4 years until it can not longer run games at 2k.
Thanks for running the test.
You're welcome

Why would you need more than 60fps for a sp game?
@@krusenator123 I have a 144hz monitor, so everything below 120 frames seems to me like I'm playing at 30 fps.

its a little bit stutter mess UE5 hates pc performance playing on 4070ti 14600k...too many stutter spiles no matter what changes you will do
