- Indonesia was a struggle bus of a weekend for us as you'll see! With Loris breaking his leg and me struggling with horrific food poisoning, it was far from ideal 😂 but actually we made big progress from Saturday to Sunday with the bike and I ended the weekend finishing the closest that I've been this year to the winner, so there were some positives! Hope you guys enjoy the video! And we still love you Indonesia, thanks for the memories 😆

Yip. That was a tough weekend. Loris's injury was nasty. I had a similar injury years ago and the doc said it would have been better if I had broken the foot rather than create all that ligament damage. When things align, you'll get up there. Onwards and upwards!

Loris, feel better soon. Garrett, I’m an Infectious Diseases physician. In developing countries, I would avoid non-bottled water, ice in drinks, raw vegetables and fruits, Cheese and other dairy products. Only eat cooked meats and vegs, only drink bottled water. Video was awesome. You will get that first BMW podium soon.

I’m not a big fan of having a leg dangling setting up for the corners, so this kind of accident is always possible.
I will be glad when you finally get to Europe.
I have high hopes for the BMW team, coming to terms with the bike set up.
Not sure what’s up with the tires, but Assen will be cooler.
Pack your own food and drink bottled water, only way to be sure, unless you like the Hersheys. Lots of bad stuff in the water, is my estimation.
I wish the series would come back to the states, it would be great to see you on home turf.

Hey Garrett. Well sheeit, not the best weekend, for sure! But that's racing. Alex can get a little reckless at times. I have picked him up a couple times at Laguna Seca in the past because of this, but hey, it's all part of it. You have to have that aggression. I just hope Loris can get back in the saddle soon. I love the synergy that seems to be happening between you two. I feel it's vital for both team growth and bike development. All things considered; you had a good showing in race 2. Hopefully it's something you can build on. Keep grinding, brother! The results will come.
Been a fan for years and know for sure that you will be racing at the pointy end just as soon as you guys figure out how to extract the best outta yourself and to maximize that beautiful machine's potential. You have proven to have the talent and the Beemer certainly does has the potential so, I think it's time to consummate the marriage 😉. Good luck with the season, God speed.

you are an incredible rider, super positive and from what we have seen extremely humble, however the gentleman pushing you is not trying to be negative he knows you are humble and polite and a man's man but you must be aggressive because off the race track we must keep our ego in check on the track is where you allow your ego to flow. What a tough luck for both Bonovo BMW guys especially Loriz B. who got tagged twice by Alex Lowes. Also, Garrett having that stomach issue really made it worse.

Wow thank you for including your teammate’s input at the end. I’m praying for his speedy recovery and return. Hopefully soon all these gremlins will get sorted out with the BMW. I know it has the power/potential, and I know your the right rider to pilot that baby into podium contention. Keep posting these bro!
EDIT: I’m also noticing more and more injuries from the Rossi foot dangle in WSBK and MotoGP, perhaps it’s getting to the point it needs to be regulated to prevent more injuries? Something must change!?!?
Appreciate it! And about the leg dangle, man idk, it does help a lot stabilizing the bike especially when the rear wheels off the ground... I guess all us riders gotta weigh the risk vs reward
@@GarrettGerloff31 I believe it should remain as a tool for sure, but perhaps the FIM needs to look at some type of rule that allows some safe distance between riders when the leg dangle is used (a small number of turns only), but that sounds tricky. Just spit-balling ideas to help prevent more injuries like this. I’m not nearly good enough yet to dangle my leg or truly understand the difference, but from what you said about stability, it makes sense.

Only time I've had travellers sickness was in Indonesia, middle of Sumatra for 10 days just poopin my brains out. Only time I've literally crapped my pants as an adult lol
🤣🤣 bro it's a problem! Wednesday night before the race weekend started was one of the worst nights of my entire life, I wanted to die. Luckily we made it through hahaha
@@GarrettGerloff31orry you had to go through that crap! 😅 Affected a few riders in MotoGP, too (there & Thailand.) Main culprits: undercooked meat, esp seafood, bad water, ppl not washing hands, etc! Always travel with charcoal capsules, take ASAP when food, alcohol poisoning is suspected! Plain crackers, toast help absorb toxins, drink electrolytes. Maybe carry a LifeStraw, too! 😽
