i feel famous, one of my Edinburgh experiences made it into a video on the Kakibot channel! 😂so excited to keep up with the magical Edinburgh Christmas vibes on your instagram! please share allll of the mince pie content, i'll be anxiously awaiting from across the pond! 🥧
Oooooh lovely!! I dream of an Edinburgh Christmas, it is so bloody hot over here at this time of year. I can imagine walking around, seeing all the pretty lights (in bokeh if I don’t wear my glasses) sipping an actual hot drink etc etc, sigh…one day 😊
In my house we have a saying: Christmas begins on December 24th and ends on December 26th and anything else ought to be outlawed! 🎅 Great video all the same! 👍
Haha yes compared to how things used to be when I was growing up, it is getting slightly out of control 😅 but I also think that November and December get so dark here that it’s nice to have some happy lights to look at!
Im going to scotland december 9th 🎉 I've been to scotland a couple years ago. I want to visit Edinburgh and portree as I missed quite a bit last time. I will only be there about 4 days. Do you think that will be enough time to see and travel between the two? I will be returning to London for a return flight home
It’s funny I’m in Scotland now and I passed by that building with the Christmas stuff on it already. It doesn’t seem like Scotland is as much into Halloween decorations as the US is but could be wrong.
Oh you're totally correct in that observation! Halloween decor still feels quite special to see - although I see lot of small food businesses making spooky season specials!
I love Edinburghs festive season. Just like with the festival, while it's busy, and can be a bit overwhelming, it brings a fresh character to the city :) What do you all like to do in Scotland over winter?
I'm in residence at a college near Dalkeith last half November and first half December. I fancy I'll have time to visit some Edinburgh xmas season events... I notice your video did not discuss St. Andrew's Day. Is this because it's "not a big thing" bank holiday? Are there any St. Andrew's Day celebrations about?
From what I saw there is a couple of ceilidh nights around town but in my experience it's all quite understated. Burns Night is a lot more of "a thing"! .)
I don’t share this sentiment - March is pretty depressing in town in my experience, and small business charge the same amounts no matter the month, so it’s really just that the markets are expensive, which is just a bullet one has to bite when visiting for this season. I could go buy a bottle of Lidl mulled wine right now for 4 quid but the fact that I don’t shows that it’s not really the wine people want to spend money on, it’s the *viiiibes*
@@Kakibot that’s completely yours to take but there’s so much to do in Edinburgh “out of season” you won’t be over charged for. There’s nothing to see, that’s honestly quite the point. You find the “nothing to see”
Thank you for this lovely preview of Edinburgh's donut advent season. Oops, I mean Christmas season.
Nah, who am I kidding, donut advent season

The humour in Panto is on 2 levels: for children and for adults, go and see a pantomime you'll definitely enjoy.....
Would love a video on where to stay during the holiday season maybe with some examples airbnbs or hotels
Nice important tips I enjoyed it Kakibot & can't wait for Christmas season here in UK soon!! 💚❤🎅🎄
Glad you enjoyed it!

I’ll tell yah one thing, don’t ! Save your money and come in March or April. It’s the same City, nothing changes it’s just triple the price !!!
