Kat, it was my absolute pleasure having you and Simon on the Jacobite tour. I’m so glad you guys had a nice time and managed to get some of the best footage I’ve seen on one of my tours ( credit to Simon on the drone). Hopefully we can have you guys on one of our other tours in the future! All the best Your driver/guide Brodie 😊
Brodiiiiieeeee!!! Thank you so much for all your help and keeping our shooting needs in mind, we had such a great time and couldn't wish for a better guide .)
I am flying out in a few hours for Edinburgh!!! It will be my first time in the UK. I have booked a tour that takes the Jacobite Train. I've been binging your videos to prepare for my trip. Thanks!❤
11:35 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵 Thank you for including this in the video!! It needs to be said now more than ever. 😊 p.s: as a person of culture: I see coleacanths, I like video.
I had just about given up trying to find a tour that covered everything I wanted to see. I'm going in September on limited time. I can not tell you the perfect timing of this video. I was really upset about potentially not being able to go on the train. So close yet so far. Lol. Thankfully, your video popped up the next day, I booked a tour so fast. Thank you!!! 😊
You had me at trains! A big YES for trans rights, and thoroughly enjoyed the rest. I'm not a big fan of coach tours but this one actually looks like something we would do, especially that second day. There is something about being able to go one way on the train and be collected at the other end. Also, I cant believe how light it was at 9pm!!! Hope your car is back on the road soon, what a pain.
We did almost the exact same trip❤..but did the train both ways. My wife said she was going to make me stop watching if I didn't stop sighing. Thanks for the memories!
Another great video with practical travel information! I usually don’t go on tours, mostly because of the single supplement charges. But I think I’d recommend this tour to anyone I know visiting the Highlands for the first time. When I was in Inverness last autumn, I visited the Culloden Battlefield, but I walked the 5-6mi from town and took the bus back (which was a bit of an adventure on its own). Looking forward to your next post!
I always feel like it’s a great option for anyone with a limited amount of time! Would probably be a bit hard to justify to myself as a local with a lot of flexibility, but in a rush I’d love to hand the responsibilities onto someone else 😅 (in this specific case I loved being able to split the train ticket with another person for one leg of the round trip!)
This looks like so much fun!! And thank you for what you said about trans rights. That meant a lot to me as a newer subscriber, who is trans. ❤ Gorgeous scenery, and great ways of seeing all of it! I deeply believe in Nessie, and I say that as a marine biologist! 😂 I’m probably going to sub to the Patreon next month. ^.^ And Johanne is not coming for you, don’t worry. She’s too busy waiting by her phone for the new PM to call her. 🙄
You must have made this the same day I was walking near Tyndrum. I nearly got stranded because of the accident at Glencoe, so I was glad I chose to stay close to the train line for my walk as a backup plan. I've always wanted to do the Jaobite, or go on any steam train to be fair, but I have had a nosey at the engine a few times when she's been stopped in Mallaig. There's an amazing little bakery in Mallaig you should check out next time you're up there, and I'd recommend catching the ferry over to Inverie to see Scotland's most remote pub too!
Thank you for your videos! They were very useful for my recent trip to Scotland. I did not travel on the Jacobite train, but did see the viaduct and Loch Shiel. I also bought 2 of the very cute pins at the Scottish Design Exchange in Edinburgh and hope to be able to visit Scotland again some time.
The shots in this video are stunning!!! I'm riding the Jacobite this month, and we had to queue online the day tickets went on sale to get a spot! Agree with you that planning a trip to the highlands is very mentally taxing with all the tricky driving, planning stops, opening times, weather, etc. Lucky for me, my partner is amazing at planning this kind of thing, but guided tours are also a great option!!
These uploads are so good. Really informative. My partner is obsessed with your jumper styles, are they local? Love how much you love Scotland. Can’t wait for our trip up in August.
What about the less touristy islands? Maybe using public transport😃 I dream about a trip around all those amazing islands, rich in history and stunning beaches and seafood omg🤤 Kat and Simon you’re always the best! I enjoy your movies so much!! Drone shots, music, your helpful tips, love everything❤
Lovely vid!! With the important context discussed around 11:45, I feel like the HP game is also quite fun and well worth a play if you haven't tried it and are interested in such things :)
I would love to do this tour but I couldn’t find a tour that invlude a bus to Mallaig returning on the Jacobite to Edinburgh. How did you do it? Who is the tour operator? How did you get tickets for the train? Is it working? Their website is not accepting reservations online. Thank you!
Compartments are not available this year due to the train being short of carriages as there are ongoing issues regarding door locking , it may also not be running again as their contract is up for renewal at the end of the year

A big YES for "Trains Rights!" Glad you both enjoyed it. 😄
Scenery is spectacular!
Right? The weather wasn't aaaall that good but I feel like Scottish Highlands can pull of a bit of moodiness extremely well .)
I love watching your content and thanks so much for sharing with me this afternoon of Scottish Highlands looks beautiful! 😍❤👍
My ancestors were from here about 175/200 yrs ago.
Wish I could travel across the pond & see for myself.
Thanks for the train ride ❤❤

Lovely, fun and so well produced video!

Beyond excellent! Thank you for showing us the exact trip we want to take on our next trip to Scotland 😁
Another amazing video! Making me miss the Highlands! I am off work in August, I will be booking a trip :)

This trip was fascinating, well worth the 2 day excursion. Where else would you all like us to visit for the channel?

Yes! The islands!
Glenfinnan: Harry Potter’s Viaduct, Historic Monument, and Scenery Loch Shiel...

You're going to Aran bakery in Dankeld my guess! Yay😃 either way, I'm excited to see where you guys go🥳
That’s the one!! Whenever I am in Dunkeld it’s always closed, so next time I just need to PRIORITISE THE BAKED GOODS!!!
@@Kakibot 😃👏
😍
Amazing video!! thanks for sharing! question: do you still have your pins, etc., at the Scottish Design Exchange?
I do indeed! .)
What are the times the jacobite train passes the bridge?
This train is getting discontinued????
Poor duckies 😒 you left them hungry!
Did you shoot all the drone videos yourself?

I was so excited watching your video that I did not read the description first. 😜
