Hope you enjoy this woodwork. Fällkniven always arouses emotions. I am happy with the final result and so is the owner of the knife. So, if you disaggree please put it in comments and give your argument there. Nothing but thumb down means nothing and we don't learn anything. Positively saying I did enjoy this work a lot!

Sorry to hear UA-cam doesn't like your videos. I think they are great! A lot of good quality information and beautiful knives.
Horia Atanasiu Thanks Horia! 👍🏻💪🏻🇫🇮
became incomparably better, great work
Юрий Милюков Thanks!
Stunning, fantastic and beautiful work, Osmo! That wood grain!
Unbelievable that YT does not want a channel with such recreational content anymore... makes no sense.
Keep up posting!
Heinrich Dorfmann Thank you! In my case all the profit from these videos goes to music makers. And I dont mind that at all. 👍🏻
Pretty
Wish my Thor had that handle . Beautiful Work ! 👍 , way to go .

Waldhandwerk - BushcraftSurvival Thanks Sepp!👋🏻👍🏻
Stunning knife, beautiful work!
Can't wait to have it back :-) !!!
hatsuro100 should be in France like these days 👍🏻
My lord what a beautiful piece of Cocobolo, Osmo! You continue to amaze me with the way you take a bunch of raw materials and turn them into a beautiful item by simply allowing your eyes to guide your hands as they work. That is a special talent so few have, Thanks for allowing us to enjoy the beauty of your work. (Sad to hear the YT censors have taken an interest in your art.)
Absolutely gorgeous piece of wood!
Love it. Especially the transition fro bolester to the wood.
Fredrik Engdahl You are right one huge ugly glued piece of course fine wood, turns into shapes. Thanks!
That is incredibly beautiful grain in that wood and the brass spacer you set in just underscores it. Wonderful work, Osmo. You really brought that knife to life.
Random Button Pusher Many thanks Jeff! This knife was a nice challenge. Very expensive original knife hopefully got some more value and service years!
WoW thats fantastic what a great piece of wood you chose i like how you made the template to show your idea to us
GREAT JOB OSMO
Allan Wagner Thanks Allan! We had some good conversation (messenger) with frenchman, owner of the knife and after several drawings found this. Making a template easies the work a lot. Osmo
Well done!
Many thanks!
Beautiful 10 times the knife it was before he must be very happy with it . I know I would be . top marks again osmo

maritimespook Thanks my friend! It turned out with satisfaction.
So beautiful.
Frank Heine Many thanks Frank!
Excellent!
neilyeag I like it too, thanks
WONDERFUL !!
stype 977 Thank you!
Looks great Osmo 👍
Bryan Resch Thank you Bryan!
Looks pretty but if you are seriously going to use it then prepare to lose a finger or two.
Simple rule of knives my friend is, a big knife needs a big guard and never put fingers in front of guards for a "choked up" grip, use a small knife for choking encounters if you feel that way inclined or man up and get strong hands and wrists that can actually hold a knife.
I honour your opinion but please let us know what you are doing with your blade to cut your fingers? In Finnish puukko heritage there are big and small (puukko) knives and no harm about finger guardless blades. I guess fish fillet might need a finger guard, maybe a small one.
looks great osmo, far better than the original handle.
john whitehead Thank you John. It was great pleasure to finish it! Osmo
Stunning!!! I need to go beat up the handle of my NL4 so I have an excuse to send it to you.
Blue Mountain Bushcraft and Outdoors That’s great! Heh! Curious to know if there’s the same end nut system on your NL4?
A 5star Handle for a 5star knive.
Atb., Michael
Thank you !!! :-)
indoor ranger Thank you from Finland too Michael😀👍🏻🇫🇮
Wonderful,
schnorres58 Thanks!
Awesome job ;)
Xameuh21 Thanks!
Osmo, first, I like your simple and direct video style. It is very instructive and I personally have learned a great deal from your videos. Second, your recent video by "Backyard Productions" that opened with a dandelion seedhead blowing in the wind and contained the antique maps of Finland very well done and really entertaining. Third, what kind of wood was it that you used to replace the handle on this knife?
Marty Malone Thank you Marty! I have been happy to read your numerous comments here and glad to hear that those videos have been usefull for so many people. That’s cocobolo wood. Osmo
Another great handle on a classic monster blade! Well done! Also, to Hell with youtube! You can find another place to post your creations and videos! Just research online.
Красота
sarmat78 yes, beautiful 👍🏻
I wish you could build a handle for a Hultafors OK4. I use one everyday and it is a very handy little knife!
13BRAVO REDLEG Whenever someone brings that to my workshop we can discuss about it 😀👍🏻
Good day. Amazing work. Please write which tree is used on the handle? Sincerely, Igor Voronezh Russia
Днс Днс it’s cocobola wood.
Nice. But why take away the mechanical Bond of the Tang nut?
MrZleesbec well, why not if it doesn’t fit to the plan. You can rebuild and shape that handle hundreds of ways and this was just one of them. 👍🏻Thanks, Osmo
That was a beautiful end product (500% better than the original), a truly stunning knife for the connaisseur.
Fuck YT...they don't know dick.
Чем не импровизированная леука!!! Мне очень понравилась работа!
Bigfootshop BigSize Sorry I cannot understand your comment... many thanks though!
and this is the reason why I didn't by this northern lights model the fear of the handle becoming loose its ok if you just have it as something to look at but if you want to take it out and use it outdoors your better off buying a proper full tang knife.
hypehype1982 Being a fulltang does not make it better knife. There are lots of quality other than fulltangs also available.
@@thetopicala I don't doubt it, I actually really like the northern light series but the way I use my knifes and I'm not the baby my gear kind of guy so a full tang knife is better option for me.
hypehype1982 Yep! The best thing is that the world is full of good knives and everyone can choose suitable blade for his interests and purposes 👍🏻
Is that rose/king wood? Once again you've done a beautiful job osmo. Sorry to hear u tube is being awkward. I don't c how your video s could be a problem.
jjskn93 Thanks, that was very old cocobolo wood piece 😀
I'm very sad to hear about this yt issue.
Otherwise, i like the video, that wood is outstanding, give a lot of elegancy. Maybe a more prominent guard, just in the low side, give more stability.
Anyway, its look very nice. Congrat, Gyula from Transylvania.
zenaldiak Thanks Gyula! Well there will be other platforms left 👍🏻
Incredible that YT has issues with you. It make me mad. But.. As always a master class. Beautiful work. If I may ask what sort of finish you applied on the cocobolo wood? Oil( tung, linseed, or..?) Or is it something else? Best of luck
Wes B Thanks Wes! It was oiled and polished. Tru Oil. Osmo
@@thetopicala thank you for your responce.
Why Yt want to close your channel? Any reasons?
Nice handle like every time. I missed it: what kind of wood is it?
Greetings Tino
einufo ofunie Thanks Tino! it was a very old block of cocobolo.
Very cool build , the wood cocobolo?
Wayne D Thanks Wayne. Yes, very nice wood 💎👌🏻
Don`t get me wrong Osmo....i love the Knives and Handles you`ve made but with this project you have destroyed the Identity of this beautiful Bowie-Knive. Why don`t you do a new Handle made out of Leatherpieces and the correct Handguard...I can`t understand....sorry
Norbert Zapf No worries Norbert. I am sure that I had made the same kind of changes if it had been mine yet this time the owner defined the final result (with me) on paper and drawings. Luckily we can choose our tools everyone what we want. Wish you great Autumn buddy! Osmo
