You cannot imagine how loud this was in person. It was like being next to a fucking rocket launch. We were at the Armory in Minneapolis for this opening; his flight was delayed by almost three hours and we wound up standing around waiting for him for almost four hours past when he was supposed to start while the warm-up DJ played the same fairly repetitive 4-on-the-floor beat with boring variations. Everyone around us was super impatient, and wound up finding his flight tracker and was refreshing his twitter waiting to see if he had landed. We had realized by this time that the opening DJ was slowly turning the volume up on his set throughout the entire time; when we walked into the stadium we were just talking normally, but after about two hours he had turned it up so much that it was hard to hear my buddy next to me and we were shouting to talk to each other, and I was like "Holy fucking shit, this is a seriously loud stadium." It was literally nothing compared to when deadmau5 started the opening. Just the opening chords of Imaginary Friends were 10 times louder than anything the warm-up DJ was playing... and it started loud, and just kept growing and growing until it was so overwhelming. This video does not adequately capture just how insanely loud and rich this opening is. I turned to my friend at around the 1:22 mark of the music in this video and shouted "OH MY FUCKING GOD" but he didn't even notice me. I have never experienced anything that loud. My shirt was puffing off of my chest. I mean we were already fucking hyped by waiting four extra hours for him to start, but hearing this opening and watching the cube outline trace out.... my blood is pumping typing this. And then he played a three hour set to boot. So much fun.
I know this is a little late to reply to, but I went to his concert in Lowell on April 10, 2019, and oml you arent kidding, I remember my ears being muffled for DAYS after the concert, thats definitely where my hearing damage started lmao edit: April 10, 2017, not 2019, typo lol
I went to this concert with my nephew it was DA BOMB. I wanted to shuffle almost the whole time but i was super fat back then and i couldnt lol we still talk about it to this day

I'm pretty much at the same point you're at, I'm getting too old for this shit! It took me forever to get out of the crowd to leave & I felt like I had broken my body when all I did was stand for a few hours! o_O

two things.. never trust crazy eyes! and second, don't trust anyone who thinks they have a secret to getting money slow scheme. or anyone who claims they don't show off the assets. this is the most subtle way of showing off. if he really cared about YOU he wouldn't take your money he would be broke and we'd be even coperate dislay
