Instead of a paper plate use a small canvas and you can make a matching painting to go with your tumbler!

I do have tumblers from 4 years ago that I didn't sand. They have not come apart and the epoxy is still in tact! But, I do sand, just adds a couple extra seconds on the process and stops the non stop debating with my followers lol

So lovely! Thanks. I have several acrylic paints but no pouring paints. There is something I can add at home to make them pourable I would think?
You can use acrylic paints as well! If the paints don't run down the cup, you may have to water them down. That's why I love these paints, you don't have to water down and you get to still have the vibrant colors!
You can add floetrol.

Thanks for the video. The tumblers look great. How much paint approximately did you use on one tumbler? Also would it be useful to do a thin skim coat on the cup first to break to surface tension so it flows evenly? Or does acrylic paint not behave that way?
Yes you can do that. And honesty, I didn’t measure the paint exactly. If I were to guess, maybe 100ml. (One silicon measuring cup )

Leela, I have a question, when you say you spoon in on I turner for four hours and then turn the tumbler off to cure the rest of the way, do you leave it on the turner, or do you stand it up? Also, is it bad to keep a tumbler turning? Sorry, that’s 3 questions.
You can leave it air curing on your tumbler turner or you can move to a drying rack. Whichever works for you. And it’s okay to leave them turning longer. I’ve forgotten about some tumblers before and left them turning for 24 hours. 🤣 it won’t ruin them.
Beautiful! One question though... your paint runs all the way down to the rim, when it's on the cup turner and you resin it it's still up to the rim, but when you show the final result there's a few milimeters blank. It almost looks like glass. How do you do that? It looks so clean!

Can you do this to acrylic tumblers? What kind of ventilation do you use for the epoxy?
I’ve only epoxied on stainless steel and I have two windows that I put window fans in. I keep them running an hour before epoxying and 4 hours after epoxy. They pull the air and any fumes out. Also, don’t forget the respirator mask.
why do you need to paint white first?
What about using a pouring medium instead of water or floetrol just wondering

Please help. My pours come out so beautiful each time but when I seal with resin, the resin is repelling and making my tumbler bumpy. I’m so tired of messing up my cups. I’ve sealed the pour with clear spray before adding resin.
Hey there, make sure you are prepping the tumbler by sanding your tumbler then adding 91% alcohol. Also, make sure you are using water based paints. If you are using oil base paints, you will have to seal the paints once dried. You will need to add two layers of mod podge then add your epoxy. Epoxy will repel with the oil based paints.
I have a question. What is the process called when you put your tumbler in the oven to dry ? I have seen people do that and I’m not sure why or what’s the reason. Help please lol

At one point you said you don't sand your tumblers as part of the prepping process. Are you still not sanding your tumblers?
Honestly, I have two tumblers I’ve had for four years that I didn’t sand. Still in perfect condition. But, it caused so much controversial on whether to sand or not with my followers, so, I just sand now to avoid the negative comments.

If it doesn’t, try watering down the paints with a little bit of water
