    Been using this solution to convert a sanke into a pressure kegmenter. I use a floating dip tube to pull the fermented beer off into a 5gal keg. Great vid CH.

      Any problems cleaning it after? Do you use a special tool?

    • @hubb412
      @hubb412 2 роки тому +4

      @@JeremyLord I clean it right away by rinsing with a hose and dumping the yeast. then I put about a half gallon of water in and do a little keg slosh dance which knocks out most of the gunk. After that I just use some scentless oxy clean and fill it up the whole way with water while it’s on my workbench. After a couple of days I use my auto-siphon to drain it. It’s a process but I love being able to ferment lager at basement temps while I can do a second beer fermentation in my temp chamber.

      @@hubb412 I'm thinking about picking up a couple of these for fermenting/serving. Does the hose barb come apart so it can be cleaned? Also, it looks like these keg posts are the type that require a gasket to seal right?

      @@HOMEBREW4LIFE oh I meant with it out of the kegerator to ferment in so you don't have to transfer to it. Im interested in seeing how the sanke keg and conversion will work out in your kegerator though. I went the keezer route due to having a deep freezer on hand and not in use, so I probably can't put a sanke keg in my keezer.

    I was gifted and sankey keg and followed this video step by step. The only issue I had was getting the tri-clamp connected. It was super tight due to the lip of the keg, gasket and spear. I had to extend the tightening nut almost all the way and compress the clamp to get the bolt over the clamp. I had to do this a few times because the gasket would push out. I did pressurize the keg and it didnt leak, but it does make me nervous.
