IMO depends where your from. Ricoh theta S is still the most versatile and complete 360 camera. Unfortunately its only 14.4Mp and 1080p. Gear 360 as decribed above has the best punch of spec vs cost. It gives best resolutions (24Mp and 4k) BUT its incredibly tedious to use plus has relatively limited function with multiple unresolved issues (it is the 1st gen afterall). I have both the Ricoh theta S and Gear 360.
The price on this is way lower than what it used to be. At about $274 new, this is a pretty good price. These used to be $349.99 new in the US. Or... go to BH photo, and search USED SAMSUNG GEAR. BH photo sells used or traded in items.
Awesome video. Beautiful beach there. I have first Samsungs gear 360 about a year now and I absolutely love it. I don't use it as my primary shooter but gladly on some special occasions. Now I'm seeing that Samsung has released an updated version of gear 360 2017 that supports 360 live stream... and I'm looking forward to upgrade.
I've owned one for many months. The pictures look great. But the video not so great. But, the lack of video quality is actually mostly because of what you are watching the video on. I was using a 15" Retina Macbook Pro thinking the Samsung's video was shwon as good as it would get. But the Macbook Pro's screen isn't up to 3840 x 2160. I have spent many months thinking the video quality sucks. It seems to look better on an iPad. But, I just got a new laptop that really has a 4K display. The I posted many months ago used to look soft on my Macbook. But I just watched them on my new 4K laptop and the video is quite sharp. If you think the video is soft or sucks, at least record, edit and upload at 4K, then watch it on a real 4K display before judging. Looking at the 4K video on your phone or iPad, even my 12" iPad Pro doesn't do this camera justice. You will need to have it all processed and viewed on a real 4K display to see the potential. For many months I thought the video sucked until I just looked at it on my new 4K laptop.
If you're an iPhone user I'd recommend checking out the Insta360 (video here: ua-cam.com/video/2zkRYgvTel8/v-deo.html) the quality isn't as great as the Samsung but it's MUCH simpler to use!
I tried, but my computer don't have enough bandwidth to play a video at that speed. I have good internet, but the only drawback is my computer is about 8 years old. When I try to play in that resolution it just hangs up there and will not play anything at all. They must not have anticipated that everyone doesn't have a super fast computer.
Thank you. which is the cheapest and the best 360° camera on offer in the market?

can you make a video on how to use open camera
Editing it right now ;)
can I use a 256 GB card with it
Yep - Mine came in a bundle with a Samsung 256GB Micro SD card 👍
360fly, no stitching required!
I could not watch the whole video. No offense, but this is terrible quality. I am surprised that this is the next big thing! This is not good.
Did you select 4k as the quality? Would probably look pretty bad otherwise.. all 360 videos do..

I am sorry to bother you but please may you recommend video editing software for windows? Ideally with voice over feature?
Musicman Butte Lol your phone probably couldn't support 4k.
