He became an addict. The way he speaks, the way he thinks, behaves, minimises, justifies. That’s what drug addicts do. He’s literally lost his mind. He’s a food addict and an attention addict. He has no other identity, without other people’s reactions, approval and applause - it’s devastating to watch. I hope he comes right.

Correct, addiction is addiction! It all ends the same way no matter the addiction. Help is there if he wants it.

    • @Zsswimmer1
      @Zsswimmer1 2 роки тому +44

Yep, I had a brain health specialist really drill home the fact that its as devastating on the brain as other addictions, of course with its own physical effects like drugs have. He showed brain scans of an active meth user and an obese person that yoyo'd their weight 50-150lbs over years and there was so little brain activity in the 'logical' hemisphere of the brain. They literally looked almost identical.
And he talked about the fact that the tech to remove addiction genes, for lack of a better word, would soon be possible. Ethics being the big hurdle cause once you do that its sorta like pandoras box

Yup, usually it's a phenomena when you balance between the two states of glycemia. I guess he also doesn't monitor his micro nutrients nor does he have a quality sleep with his sleep apnea. All the factors to become physically and hormonally a douche bag. My best friend used to be this way, he was obese, we helped him get in shape and his personality changed for the better, he even had abdominoplasty. He met his first girlfriend, she was already obese and when they moved in together during the 2020 lockdowns they put on 30+ kg together. If you combine that with a previous 5 years cocaine addiction, daily pot and cigarettes smoking, he became a monster of a friend and still is to this day.

But I want to live a healthy lifestyle and I respect his decision but I don’t want to have an overweight lifestyle. And tbh I do feel bad for him. Stay healthy everyone and get exercise.

The people who say these things face a tremendous amount of self-loathing, so they don't really care what comes out of their mouths and how it sounds to other people. None of us can say something that will make him feel bad about himself more than what his own mind probably says every day. And it seems like he thinks he can't pivot from this towards something else without returning to work or something. Still, the amount of money his channel makes will continue to grow even if he takes a break and pivots to a different schedule or builds a business from the money he makes instead of spending it on vanity purchases for his Las Vegas home.
Sad. No other way to describe it.

I am not familiar with his work and only knew him from the "I´m usually a one-pack girl" video, but it breaks my heart seeing him going from a healthy, seemingly happy guy to a very obese, seemingly very unhappy man. No amount of money could get me to "sell" my health for the viewing pleasure of others. I would strongly encourage him to stop these videos and loose weight. Those that still watch his videos then are at least fans of him personally and don`t just feast on the pain of others.

@@zeuna I feel you. Not to make it about me, but I've also had a very poor relationship with food throughout my life. As an overweight unpopular kid throughout most of my high school years, I had a HORRIBLE self-image. *Trigger Warning* I lost a LOT of weight during college using very unhealthy methods such as drinking a bottle of water while hungry and skipping meals... and I became someone who almost based my personality around how I looked. After COVID hit, I gained a lot of weight back (although a good chunk of it is muscle, and I'm built pretty well), and I'm healthier now and no longer restrict meals, but it's still so difficult to not associate my weight-gain with a loss of control. I've been working on myself and I've accepted how I look, and now I work out / exercise because I love myself, not because I want to punish myself. It's funny though... looking back on old photos of myself, I now wish I could look how I looked back then, but when I was at that weight it still wasn't good enough for me and I wanted to look better. I realize now that every second that passes becomes the past and one day 20 years from now, I'll look back on how I look now and wish I appreciated it and loved myself. Because nobody knows what the future holds. Self-love is an ever-evolving thing, and I'm glad that I'm finally able to at least not be so hard on myself for gaining weight. I'm about 190 lbs now and that's okay.

The line about how he never thought it’d hit 300 really hits home for me.
I always thought 270 was my “max” but then one day I weighed 290, and then over 300. Now I’m struggling to get down to 280, but I’m not gonna stop until I’m under 200. I’ve lost 40 pounds so far and I can lose 85 more.

I have a crazy diet I did in early 2020 but it takes discipline. 3 Boiled eggs with lime and only water as a drink for the day. Water Everytime. I lost 10lbs a month doing it, also do cardio. Don’t listen to people saying it’s unhealthy or dangerous, my skin cleared so much that year, hair started strengthening (growing facial hair ) testosterone boosted and increased muscle gains after. It also made me happier. Try it bro, but have discipline. Replace chips and other snacks for watermelon or pineapple.

Before I knew anything about this guy, I just kept seeing clips of his Mukbangs being inserted into motivational edits on UA-cam for working out. Watching his descent into morbid obesity throughout the entirety of this video honestly was very frightening for me to watch. Because he said some things that I once to told myself when I wasn’t in the headspace to take care of myself. At my absolute worst during Covid I was 315 pounds and absolutely miserable, a shell up my former self as I used to play football in high school, but I let my weight spiral out of control after I stopped playing. It took a lot of praying and support from good friends and my parents to finally find the willpower to change, and I know for Niko it can’t be easy for him to live like this. I just pray that somebody can get through to him in time before it’s too late.

He can turn his channel into a weight loss channel and show everyone how much struggle/drama that is.

There's a supportive weight loss community on UA-cam. But, he'd have to give up eating like he does, and I think he enjoys it too much.

He was never vegan, he was simply plant-based. Veganism is a lifestyle of peace and compassion for all, so we also don't go to zoos, circuses, wear fur, wool, etc. If someone is hurt or killed we don't support it.
Going vegan is like turning away from racism. If you say you're not racist, then turn around and be a racist, well, you never stopped being a racist.
Nikocado was plant-based. He ate a diet without animal products, but he was never against oppression of others nor in it to help others as a full vegan lifestyle is.
It's sad not only for the animals, but had he truly been vegan and in it for the animals he would have never turned away from a healthy diet and become what he is now. And if he stayed in the vegan community he would definitely have found people who would help him with his mental struggles, etc.
I've been a vegan activist for a decade now, met so many vegans, etc. Mental health is something we all take serious. Every animal rights group I know of (which is over 100) does something for the mental health of volunteers and workers. I mean, we have to educate the masses about the worst cruelties being done to animals and children every day. I have seen so much rape and brutal deaths....
Even if he never became an activist, he still would have been with people who understand.

ngl if he still kept the same evil super villain personality people would still watch. ngl i'm pretty sure people would enjoy watching a super villain cry "why meee, cruel fate has bestoweth upon me this thiccness" i wouldn't watch him but I'd watch content like that.

Depression sells. Medicating depression with emotional eating sells.
Losing weight doesn't sell as much. People desire deadly comfort.

I'm sure he said stuff he doesn't really mean to try to cope with his issues. Plenty of people think things they don't really feel, in the heat of the moment. Unfortunately, he films the worst moments of his life so, it ends up out there for the world to see and judge.

Its sad to see what people will do for social media and likes and stuff, this is my motivation to never become this big by watching what i eat. I had a face where i would order food like 4-5 times a week and my weigh would increase so much. Ive changed my eating habits and im now at 89kg/200 pounds for a male 196cm/6.4 feet. Its just sad to see people spiral down like this imo
