B1 61306 Mayflower at full speed through Hartford | Pennine Moors Christmas Cracker | 21/12/22

- I said on my most recent community post that my trip to see 6233 on the 10th was my last long distance trip of 2022 - this just goes to show how unpredictable our hobby can be! I wasn't intending to film this originally but my friend Tom @WestCountrySteamVideos informed me this morning that it was 61306 on this working and I jumped out of bed like a rocket!
Today's video is therefore of LNER B1 4-6-0, 61306 "Mayflower", on its very first LSL revenue earning working since it was bought by LSL earlier this year, the Pennine Moors Christmas Cracker! I left my local at 09:31 and met Tom in Birmingham, us both travelling to Hartford up the WCML on board a 390 and then a 350. Once arrived we set up in the prime spot at Hartford, and even met another friend, @richardswiderski4985! 61306 then came blasting through at a full roughly 73mph, much to our delight. Great to have another addition, even if it's so late, to the 'seen in 2022' list! After this Tom and I headed back to Birmingham on a 350 for 7029 Clun Castle on the Polar Express workings, a video of which will be released when I'm done filming.

That makes 61306 the 6th steam engine to join the saphos train fleet after 46100 34046 45231 70000 and 60007
