  • On 8/21/11 Hurricane Irene hit New York State. It was classified as a tropical storm with heavy winds and flooding rains destroying the Catskills. Margaretville was damaged severally. The Binnekill stream combined with the East Branch of the Delaware River rose through town. Many builds where wiped out. The reconstruction has begun. What was lost will only be rebuilt stronger.

    @pinetar100 yea it is Fresh Town now whats left of it. Its still closed. I will be up this weekend for opening day.

    You can say that again. Our county lost all it's giant oaks. One oak killed two wonderful young boys over in Westchester. Horrible.
    Jersey and Long Island is in a world of hurt. Such heart felt pain. I'm praying that Sandy is the worst in our lives and that we paid our dues.

    Sandy was bad. People are still cleaning up. I had no power for 12 days. Not fun.
