His first few games were against AJ Brown, Ceedee Lamb, and Tyreek Hill. He wasn't going to get any tougher assignment than that none of them had over 80 yards.

Mac Jones was the fifth quarterback drafted; he should have been drafted above Zach Wilson and Trey Lance Jr. possibly even the second overall pick. Only quarterbacks who are better than Mac Jones drafted in 2021 were Trevor Lawrence and Brock Purdy.
TBF Christian Barmore should've been all pro this year. Completely dominant and with better stats than other pro bowlers like Quinnen Williams.

As a Pats fan, I would hate to see them grab a QB at #3. That's insane to think that a team so depleted in fire power and coaching that they destroyed a quarterback in Mac should all of the sudden get a fresh face young kid to come in and "save" the franchise? A team is willing to trade their 1st round this year, next year, and some players, you BETTER take that and build a team to bring in QB. Not all great QBs are top 10 draft picks.
Unless the Patriots think the third quarterback will be the next Drew Bledsoe or better it doesn't make sense to draft a quarterback who will likely redshirt his rookie season.
Pick Daniels or Maye, whichever fall to you. Sign Calvin Ridley as a FA and get your tackle in the second round.

I am no pro or analysis. Not the best speller either. New England trading down to get the QB from Washington later down later round 1st maybe 2nd round if they got one, then use the assets to go get one of the good receivers.

Trade down grab Bo Nix or J.J McCarthy and a extra Round 2 pick.. I was big on taking Drake Maye because he seems like he has the work ethic and drive to keep growing but he’s not worth the #3 seed pick. Bo and J.J. Let Mac Jones get a fresh start, he can start revive his career, he’s a good QB he’s just been on a team that was pressing to win because you not only let the greatest QB go he also went to another org and won the chip and you have been in fight or flight mode since. Trade down in the draft, get more picks, draft Bo nix or penix let them sit for a few years and if they show promise and Matt is thriving you can trade either one and get picks in a trade. I wouldn’t draft Maye in my opinion, he hasn’t showed me anything in his time at NC that he’s a better QB than nix, penix, Williams, Daniels and even some QB’s that has elected to stay in school.

It's doubtful the Patriots would trade up to number one pick; last first overall pick for the Patriots was Drew Bledsoe in 1993 so it makes sense if a quarterback is clearly better to the third best quarterback.
Mac clearly did not play great football last year but why you gotta start the clip off lying about him having the worst TD to Int ratio? Zappe was literally worse than him.
Mac Jones isn't even the worst quarterback drafted in the first round of the 2021 draft. Zach Wilson and Trey Lance Jr. are both worse than Mac Jones; Justin Fields barely looks better as a pocket passer.
