I watched my lawn grow 4 inches in the time it took these two windbags to finish their case. Now i gotta go hire Robert's guys to cut my lawn as a side job 😂
So what had happened was, we had no specific written contract but we did settle on a figure of $2600 for the season's service, this was $2400 in prior years. $200 total increase. Unfortunately, I fired him as a customer because he poached my guys for a side job. I reimbursed him 2600 - 300 for the tools they stole from me - 450 for services already rendered. Thank you Your Honour. There, I did it in less than 50 words.
These guys are both absolutely nuts. Imagine being so complicated over something as asinine as paying someone for yard work. Imagine if it was over something important for big money.
So Robert, the defendant, lost the case. Judge Milan concluded he cannot charge Jack, the plaintiff, for the use of his equipment that “his employees” used. Since Robert chose to part ways with Jack, he had to return $300 of the monies given to him from his current contract with Jack….:I believe. Conversation with Doug -Robert believes Jack is conniving for going behind his back and using his employees for a side job. Jack doesn’t care too much because he hired new guys to care for his lawn. He wasn’t happy that he didn’t receive more money back but respects the judge decision. He believes Robert was sending him phony bills and was charging him for frivolous things. This is what I took from this damn near 40 minute slug show.
'' Thing is with Jack, when you send him a contract he always has a question '' The dude is mad that Jack has his stuff together. Ridiculous. His employees are probably ripping him off really good every week.
I worked with my dad.. this type of guy like Jack are common in NY.. all of the same "Culture" .. thank goodness , we are now in Atlanta, No :Jacks" here so far. Then the "Jack" culture folks wonder why no one wants to deal with them.
While I agree a lot of verbal somersaults are indicative of not wanting to answer questions, with these two (especially Plaintiff), it's also about an ineffective, non-limear thought process. I find it fascinating. This really can be taken as a lesson in communication and how quickly a listener can become exhausted, frustrated, and/or disinterested if you can't articulate your idea in a certain amount of time and don't know how to prioritize important information over frivolous details.
This case was so dull it practically put me to sleep. I've witnessed more excitement watching soil on the gardening channel. It was incredibly tedious to watch; it took two whole business days for the litigants to respond to a single question. I'm not sure I even remember what the case was originally about. Even during their conversation with Doug in the hallway, they seemed to carry on as if anyone cared to listen. Adding insult to injury, the case went on for an extra 38 minutes, as if determined to test the patience of everyone involved.
Why would you ask the employee instead of the boss to do work if your not trying to screw the boss out of his cut and then act like you did nothing wrong, you knew WTF you were doing!
I promise you what happen is the employee went to jack and said hey we can do it cheaper. The employees clearly done this many time before. If all they did was laugh at the boss when they got caught.
OMG, neither can get to the point, neither can answer a direct question, what a lot of waffling, they deserve each other. This was painful to listen to...
I own my own business an i make every employee sign a contact that says they can not do side jobs with my current customers but can do side jobs on their own personal time as long as they are not my customers
Bad manners to go behind the guys back and hire his people! When I was younger and doing my internship, someone tried to hire me for cheap and drop my boss, and as young as I was, I knew that was wrong. I was excited at first at the prospect of landing my first client, but I turned it down. Just plain wrong.
They should have paid the judge to listen to the two of them. Between Jack who kept repeating himself and the defendant and his repeated “uh”. That’s why it took so long.
Judge: Did he pay you? Defendant: I've know him for 10 years. Judge: Did he pay you? Defendant: I own the business and have overhead. Judge: Did he pay you? Defendant: I like ketchup.
I understand why she went with the contractors amount for spring clean up. We have a landscape business and everything is going up faster than you can keep up- gas, fertilizer, labor, insurance, liability, printer cartridges, equipment, upkeep on the trucks and trailers, internet, phone- everything you need to keep a business going. I’m glad she believed him on that.
This is closer what real court is like. I enjoy them posting less edited cases, but I’m a bit of a law nerd. They still post short cases, if the drama (which is the best part) is what you like click on the shorter cases. Most of her cases are longer than this, and they are edited down for TV. These are like directors cuts. The long cases are all going to be kinda like this, if you don’t like this you’ll probably want to skip most of them.
Plaintiff is wrong to hire the defendant’s guys to work for him. And the workers need to use their own tools and equipment for their side jobs. But their side jobs should not be working for their bosses clients.
There is SO MUCH work in our state, the Plaintiff is EXACTLY who you don't bother to work for, ever, considering how many other clients are in the wings. Buh bah.
He does make a point that there is nothing wrong with making extra coins on the side but if you are going to do it use your own tools or if you don't have your own just rent
I love the end when she keeps repeating “but who’s more likely to strike up a conversation with someone right next to us” until he finally agreed that it’s her. He said himself twice beforehand.
I would like to thank the comment section for telling me this is a longggggg, drawn out case. I would’ve kept watching and wasted 38 minutes of my life.. thanks guys!
If he thinks his tools are worth 300, then he needs to get from his employees, I agree with her he didn't tell them to bring your tools, not responsible to pay you.
If their are so many landscaping guys the plaintiff can call then why ask one of the defendants employees to do the work, even if you know the guys family he still works for that company.
Getting a direct answer from either one of these guys is like pulling teeth.
The keep twisting and telling stories like the Mafia..sooo lenghty
The Two Ronnies need to get to the point 🙄😳 talking a lot of nothing, drama queens.
And she was warned 😂
the plaintiff is a miserable guy... He wants to come across as a great guy.. Plaintiff is actually a thief.
Pulling a tooth with a jcb😂😂 I got bored with them and started reading the comments 😂
I was 25 when I started watching this.... now I am 75
Imagine, I was already 67 when I started watching these 2 irritating knuckleheads. This is really not how I wanted to spend my remaining time! 💀🤣

You almost took me out with that "two windbags" comment 😂😂😂😂
😂 love this 🤣😂🤣
I'm cracking up 😂 you too funny and I feel you 😂
These 2 are the worst litigants to have for a 38 minute episode
Thanks for the warning
I stopped watching at around the 12-minute mark. Long wind bags that love hearing their own voices and refuse to get to the answer to a question.
How do you think it got to 38 minutes in the first place?? 😂 AND, this is the *edited* version! 🤦🤣🤣
I was going to say, the video is 38 minutes because of them.
How to make a short story very very very very Long 😴 😴

These 2 guys deserve each other .
There were sooo many cases I wished dragged on more than this one. 😑…it was painful but I couldn’t stop watching. LOL 😆
Omgggggggggggggggggggggg I know judge needed a glass of wine or 2 after that case 😩🤣
Judge: Asks yes/no question
Litigants: See, the thing about the other guy ...
Judge: That doesn't answer my question.
Litigants: But I was getting to that. 😭
😂
WHY CAN’T THESE GROWN MEN JUST ANSWER SIMPLE QUESTIONS?!!!!
Each love pontificating
Sheesh! These two men have exhausted me … just answer the question damn
Lord, yes! 🤬🤬🙄🙄🤬🤬
I was getting sooo annoyed!
Jack is so NY,, will never give a direct answer... and his face says it all.
These guys are both absolutely nuts. Imagine being so complicated over something as asinine as paying someone for yard work. Imagine if it was over something important for big money.
This is insufferable.
You think 😂
Omg I tried y'all !! But can't finish this case😅!!! They so long winded!🤦🏾
Lol...I had to fast forward
😂😂 it drained me.
Play speed 2.0x
2,500$ Cash? My BROWN BEHIND? ???
Fast forward was needed
When JM says, "I've been warned about you two", I want to know who warned her? Production team?
I think she was referring to both of them giving the overly long warnings about the other in the beginning
Definitely others on People’s Court team
It was me

THANK YOUUUU
@hottuna2006 I threw in the towel at the 12 minute mark too lol
Not all heroes wear capes!
Thank u for this. Right now I'm at 4:09 and I already can't stand this case.
Holy crap... 38 minutes? Is this a criminal trial or something 😂😂😂
Right!!!😂
😂
Right. Judge Mathis does 10 minute tops. Lol. I've never seen one so long. Maybe 20 min for the people's court.
Because the two men are very entertaining!
The cockroach upload earlier was also 38min lol. I didn't watch it. Too damn long lol
'' Thing is with Jack, when you send him a contract he always has a question '' The dude is mad that Jack has his stuff together. Ridiculous. His employees are probably ripping him off really good every week.
Why wasn't this called "hit the road jack"?

Who pays me for my 38 minutes wasted?!
🤣
Ask Jack....but he may drag out the answer. You've been warned 😂
These guys are TERRIBLE communicators, businessmen and listeners!! 🤦🏼♀️
When you don't want to answer a question with the truth, this is what it sounds like
While I agree a lot of verbal somersaults are indicative of not wanting to answer questions, with these two (especially Plaintiff), it's also about an ineffective, non-limear thought process. I find it fascinating.

I thought this was a double-case episode. Boy was I wrong 😅😂
We all were wrong 😂
😂😂😂
Be thankful for what you got sir! Judge could’ve ruled in favor of the defendant! Move forward with a cheerful heart!
Judge Milian: "I dont know what any of what you said means" 😂😂😅😂
The judges make me laugh!!! 😂😂😂 when John starts goading Marilyn lol!!! I could watch a show of just them interacting
"I was warned about you two!" well hell, where was OUR warning?
Im glad everyone noticed the video length and not just me.
@thtsnotmia Right. Wait until you watch the long upload today. Prepare yourself for a headache. 🤯
These guys talk like they don't know how without walking through their feelings first.
Cleaned 🧽 my whole bathroom 🚽 with this case playing in the background 🚿
They must be criminals because what the heck??? Answer the darn questions!!

OMG, neither can get to the point, neither can answer a direct question, what a lot of waffling, they deserve each other. This was painful to listen to...
Why does the defendant look like just he’s from who who ville 😂
LOL
Or a mob boss
Hes mad because the people he takes advantage of took advantage of him😅😅😅😅
Right! 😂 The audacity 🙄🤣
I love the judges. ❤
I’ve noticed these cases have been getting longer and longer 😂
My God Nephew turned 40......He was 5 when this episode started
Jack is unethical and immoral hiring this other guys employees to cut him out.
I own my own business an i make every employee sign a contact that says they can not do side jobs with my current customers but can do side jobs on their own personal time as long as they are not my customers
The way this guy blinks
I know!
he has a twitch
Almost made me twitch each time he did that!!
It's a nervous condition
It’s a tic. Probably had it all his life. Could be worse under stress.
I loved the two older men! lol 😂 priceless
Nice to see Judge Milan and her husband together at the end.
Judge Judy would say, the only one getting emotional distress is me😊

And US for sitting through this unnecessarily long boring case. They argued over $65 for over 10 damn minutes!! 🤦♀️
This case is not worth 38 minutes. Obviously a covid taping and they needed to fill airtime 😂😂

They are HILARIOUS! I'm a big fan.
I’m literally decomposing watching this episode
My favorite part of this case was in Season 9, Episode 7
😅
😅
I’m stopping at eight minutes. I cannot take another 30 minutes of these two.
I tapped out at 12 minutes. Beat you by 4.
28:51 Even the defendant got bored 😂
The judge said she was warned about these two. It was an unexpected peak behind the production curtain.
Non-compete clause. Easy fix
I doubt that old geezer the plaintiff ever invited Juan over to his house for dinner or was friends with Juan. 😂😂
I understand why she went with the contractors amount for spring clean up. No one can answer a question!
This was absolutely painful.
These two couldn’t explain themselves out of a paper bag. Every time she asked a question I was like…here we go again.
Defendant hired workers out from under contractor, that in itself should make him lose.
OMG it was like a circus, This was a case she will probably go home and have a drink with her husband the Judge.
For the love of Pete, Jesus would lose patience with these two. He would jump backlon the cross to get away from these men.
Gas was cheap in 2020-2021

Come on, guy answered the simple question.Beyond us with the judge
The plaintiff: Picture this NYC 1946......
The Defendant: You want a piece of me......

I'm EXHAUSTED listening to this. The plaintiff hinting that the defendant said he "owns" his workers and that he took offense was a low blow.
Alright 6 mins in I'm shutting this one off both plaintiff and defendant are brutal
Thank you
Omg!! I can’t take it anymore. I’m out! They talking so much that I forgot what the case is about!
