I LOVE Purpose. I can see how it's kind of a polarizing scent. Complex, piney, dry woods, incense, masculine. Smells of quality like everything else from this line.

This is why I love the extra channel. I love my designers, that's what got me into collecting, but I can't talk and look at them forever. This channel breaks that up. Ash, if you're reading this, thank you for making this. I've found a couple pretty good fragrances that you've talked about here
Purpose is simply genius, awesome perfume !
I have 13 bottles of amouage now. I still love the brand. I think the hate is unfair. Purpose is amazing. I'm getting purpose, I own boundless and enclave. I love their challenging scents like portrayal and overture, even FIGMENT... So I appreciate artistry. And I have found a fbw fragrance in every "chapter" of the Renaissance collection.
Purpose absolutely fits the brief of a rugged shamanic vibe. Everyone around me loves it. Amazing high quality woods reminding me of forests and campfires leather. Wearable in more than winter as well.
I have a couple amouage I can barely wear anywhere like Fate and Figment. A few more that are challenging but I love them and wear them whenever I can. I WELCOME them trying to bridge that gap between artistic and mass appealing, though I wish Chong had been kept on in some capacity at least.
Same here, G. I have my 15th bottle (Opus VII) on its way.
I couldn't be any more satisfied with Amouage and am eagerly awaiting what comes next!

@@valzalel5203 I actually bought this one and later sold it because it didn't always hit right for me, but some others loved and hated it. I hope that amouage will continue to make fragrances like this in the opus line or something at least.

Ikd i just bought Search from discount price 160€, and it lasts over 12 hours on my skin, for me is worth 100%, one of best and strong fresh i got
This is why I enjoy watching his reviews. Honest, no BS. As a fragrance collector I purchased my fragrance at retail and as you can imagine spending $500AUD the new releases are really disappointing. Personally, I think it’s not the AMOUAGE we know and love. Good review mate

Thanks to all the reviewers on UA-cam, Instagram and TikTok a lot of people are becoming more and more interested on fragrances outside of the designer lines, so is very understandable that many niche houses releases this kind of fragrances. Different from designer but still simple enough to like for most of the people

Hey Ash, I got this set in as well and I agree with your take on it! My favorite ended up being Lineage, but all in all I wasn't super excited about any of them :( Search was nice, but had no performance on me whatsoever, and at that price that's a deal breaker.

Search smells almost identical to Vetiver by Roja Parfums. I was not a huge fan of any of these to be honest. They have all been done before by other people and are present in most products you find in the beauty aisle at target.

Amouage has taken a nose dive since the new creative director stepped in.
Yeah Christopher Chong's era was next level. Not a fan of the french influence of Renaud so far. Outside of Royal Tobacco but thats cause Cecile is just on fire with her works as a perfumer.

I've heard several sources say these were all pretty thin/weak for Amouage., with even the best of the group being kinda mediocre in the performance department.
Lineage was my fave of the 4. Guidance way too feminine. Search is good but not worth it. And purpose is a no.
I have a sample of Reflection that should be worn by ever body, and Inerlude that should be worn by nobody!

Reflection is the least Amouage scent that Amouage makes.
Reflection smells really girly to me.
With the creative director change the amouage new perfumes are mostly nothing new
The hype is nonexistent lol
All new amouage releases are sooooooo boring and not what to expect from this power house.
