Thank you Vic for this most interesting experience of historical architecture of Bratislava you shared with us. Seems like a place to go and not spend a lot of money learning and experiencing the history of this city, as I am a student of European/British history.
Recognize you Vic, you visit our islands in Solomon; Honiara and surround. thanks for visiting different places, countries and telling us about the beauty, uniqueness and their lifestyle. It makes us more close to where you going. Tagio tomus, Wantok
Watching in memory of my childhood friend who passed st the age of 36. She inherited her Slovak heritage from her father and, of course, paternal grand parents who kept many traditions of Slovakia alive!
Vic Stefanu - World Travels and Adventures. Thank you for making them. My Brother actually traveled there and our family ancestral home, the town I mentioned.
I know, that you Hungarians are still dreaming about the past era, when you were part of the Austrohungarian Empire. That was then, and now is now! Do you remember, that Bratislava, then known as Pozson, was the Capital of Hungary for over 300 years? Do you know, how many Hungarian Kings were coronated in Bratislava?Quite a few of them. And you know why?Beacouse the Turks were at your tail, and than Bratislava was a safe place for your Kings, away from the danger. My Hungarian friends! Keep on dreaming about your past, but this is now.Let bygones be bygones. The collapse of Austrohungarian Empire put the end to that chapter of history. And now let's live side by side in peace and harmony for the benefit of both countries. You cannot turn back the clock of history, so try to.get used to it!!!! With love from faraway Canada, with love J.Golias. I love Hungary, but I love Slovakia,. my old native country much, much more......Bye!
Hey! And one more thing:. I don't know if you are aware of the following facts: The Emperor Frantz Joseph, didn't want to grant autonomy to Slovakia, excised extra orbitant taxes on the Slovak people, and you think that was right? And I'm asking you, let's say your destiny were reversed and you would be on the receiving end, would you like it,???? I certainly do not think so !!!! And that's all for now,. Thanks for, I hope, your understanding of the feelings on the other side equation, Bye! J.G.
until mid 19 century there were no one "slovak" even after ww2 they were minority there ....they are 20 century immigrants ....true history is a "little" different the official forged one ...
Busha69 I mean Pressburg ...1919 become bratislava ..Im not Magyar ....facts ?you have no facts because you have no written history ,more precisely not at all
i know you aren't Magyar...doesn't change the fact those are alternative Magyar facts, usually...sometimes it's alternative Austrian facts. So we went from no Slovaks to 15% suddenly...what else? And because they were servants (not all of them were servants though) am I supposed to be ashamed? because we didn't colonize no country and nation and didn't enslave people of other ethnicities? the fact that the ancestors of Hungarians came here after Slavs is fine and peachy and they aren't immigrants or didn't steal no land nor they tried to erase our whole identity by magyarization. That totally didn't happen. Just because we didn't have our own country we didn't exist? Because some ethnicities in f.e Russia don't have their own country they don't exist? My perfectly Slovak ancestors who spoke Slovak would disagree. Tbh, I don't care about Bratislava enough...you can take it lmao. But don't spew bullshit like "you have no history".

you mean in Bratislava? yeah...but there is where your Magyar alternative facts end.
Busha69 I mean Pressburg ...1919 become bratislava ..Im not Magyar ....facts ?you have no facts because you have no written history ,more precisely not at all
Busha69 before 1919 there were 15% slavs ,who was servants .....you are imigrants there who usurp Magyar and German heritage ....
