Seth - You asked us to share the vlog with a fellow runner if it gave us a jot of energy. Speaking for myself, more than anything the race day vlogs make me emotional because of the love shared among you and the DGR crew. About a minute before the vlog ended, you looked straight at the camera and said "I love you guys." What always stands out in these race day vlogs is how much that love is shared by the community that YOU BUILT. From the people that help provide the footage for the vlog, the people who travel to see you race and especially the moments you share with us, it makes me feel good knowing that I'm part of a massive group of runners that love you back. Maybe I'm a sappy middle-aged man, but I cried throughout the entire blog today--and it felt great. (Side note: I also tend to tear up in some of the intimate family moments you share with us.) I will share this vlog with people I know--regardless of whether they run or not, because this was a vlog about community and love, which is something the world needs. And, yes--I am going to say it here, publicly: Seth, I love you. Thank you for everything. I look forward to the next time you come to New York, because I will be there to tell you in person.
QOD: I ran a solo marathon on Sunday and beat my goal of 3:10 to achieve a finish of 3:05. I am 55 and setting my sight on breaking 3:00. Your channel has been very motivating and kept my spirits up during the covid lockdown.
@@ecuadorparagliding I have spent a long time slowly building up my mileage. But, I average around 60 miles (100 km) per week. At peak training, I get up to 70 miles (115 km) per week. Most of the time I run 6 days a week. But, I find that the one day off not running is better spent with a short easy run or a bike ride. Otherwise, my first day back running feels really stiff and uncomfortable. I need the extra blood-flow to help the healing process. At our age, we need to do as much as possible to heal from the hard work.
Seth, I don’t know you personally but for some reason I feel so so proud. I’m lucky to have you as my UA-cam running coach. Congratulations! You did amazing! DGR family. DGR strong!
Great job, Seth! Thanks for sharing your race with us all. For us here in the UK 🇬🇧 we need videos like this to give us motivation and hope for when races come back for us once restrictions are gone... Also, ADRIAN man, if you’re reading this massive congratulations on your first HM, from a fellow big guy! That pace is awesome for your first crack at the distance.
Good morning Seth! It was great to meet you yesterday at the cool down. I ran the Glass 1/2 in 1:36:50 at 52. Your attitude is infectious. Keep up the great work. Peace
Seth, wanted to take a moment to tell you you’re an inspiration for so many of us. Your dedication to not only your own fitness and running performance but also to that of your viewers is amazing. Thank you for all you do and the time and effort you give making your channel what it is! Side note, I ran the full marathon event yesterday but didn’t get a chance to meet you since the starting lines were in different spots but smoked my goal of breaking 3 by running 2:56+. Thank you again!
Seeing you run with those kids with such big smiles on their faces made me tear up. How awesome that they can run with their inspiration! That is truly something to be proud of . Continue onward and upward in your sharing the gospel of running!
Seth, You never cease to amaze me. Traveling to a new city, filming all of this beautiful video, running in a half-marathon, editing and posting all of this, bringing all of those smiles to the fellow runners. GREAT JOB! You are an inspiration to myself and many others. THANK YOU and all those who helped you bring this vlog to us all. DGR Strong!
I envy the weather at your race Seth. I lined up for the Sioux Falls Skedaddle half marathon in SNOW. The snow turned to sleet right at the start and then turned to rain. There was solid wind on top of that. You know what? You can't control the weather, but you can control yourself... your focus and your outlook (and your preparation). Finished twenty seconds under my target pace! Congratulations to EVERYONE that raced on Sunday!
It's incredible how much your channel has grown. I remember when you were excited to reach 10K subscribers. I stopped watching for a year since I was not training for anything but now that I'm training again I come back see you reaching 135K SUBSCRIBERS!!! WOW!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!
Congrats Seth! I PR’d at the Glass City Marathon yesterday but didn’t get to meet you after. Congrats to Toledo and the volunteers for pulling off one of the first major US marathons since pre-covid! The second half of that course was beautiful!
QD: Ran the Savage 5k and broke 20 with a 19:34 💪 It was awesome meeting you and seeing you race. I learned that we inspire you as much as you inspire us. Butter to the bread!
The glass is always full thanks to you Seth! You're such an inspiration! How can a runner not get out there and have so much fun! Great job at Glass City! Butter, Bread and Bobos. The 3 Bs !!!!
Austin 1/2. My first ever race. Started running last year at 40 and found your channel. Been turning the door knob and building aerobic base since. The ambitious Goal was 90 minutes. After some humbling hills, I finished at 94 and some change. I am Proud of the result but more grateful for the process, baby. Thank you for inspiring. I’ve got my eyes on my first marathon in December (San Antonio).
What a day!! For some reason when u guys were cooling down on that run. That song kept playing in my head "keep dreaming, keep keep dreaming" Just goes to show that life never always goes the way we plan but if we put out positivity to the world we get back positivity from people bc thats what we attract back to ourself.
Ran the Glass City Full Marathon as my first ever marathon. Felt really good for 16 miles at my goal pace of 8:30/mile, then I got hit with the worst cramps of my life in my quads and adductors. Those kept coming regularly causing me to walk for 10-30 seconds every 400m for the rest of the race. Ended up at 4:01 for the day as a result rather than my goal of 3:45. Not what I wanted, but I finished despite the terrible pain I was in, which at several points had me contemplating dropping out. Though I can barely walk around my house this morning, I’m excited to figure out my weaknesses and come back to attempt that
After a long journey of battling injuries and set backs I finally completed my first 50k this weekend! Tough and hilly for this Michigan runner and lots of lessons learned for the next week. Awesome job at Glass City and now on to the next one!
Seth, you are truly amazing! The time and dedication you have for filming all the drone shots, taking us with you before and after the race (and thanks to those who filmed during the race....you rock) is proof of the love and dedication you have for OUR sport and for each other. Thanks for providing the DRG family with inspiration and love for one another!
QD: I ran the virtual Eugene Half Marathon Saturday. Not a PR but my 2nd fastest time ever at 1:26:07 and all I was doing was testing if I could hold my goal pace of 2:55:00 for a full marathon that I’m running in 7 weeks. I could have kept going for sure. Feeling encouraged!!!
Such a fantastic vlog Seth, thank you so much for bringing us along, & taking the time to put this together. I was with you during the race, willing you, yelling at my phone, wanting you to get to Andy’s. The group run afterwards made the hair on the back of my neck stand up it was truely wonderful to see. Hopefully one day I can complete a cool down run with you after completing in the same event as you. Running transcends us as individual runners, our abilities & our circumstances to create a bond, a family that unites us all. We seek beauty & work hard as individuals but we love each other united as one as we support, encourage & help all our fellow runners, all of our brothers and sisters. Thank you & many thanks for all that you do Seth. DGR STRONG 🏃♂️🏃♀️💪❤️
QOD: I raced a marathon Saturday. Set a PR of 3:33:17 taking 2nd place in my age group. My PR from 2019 was 3:37:37 so I will take it although my goal was sub 3:30. I battled a shin injury in this training cycle so I will take the PR.
QD: Ran a HM after a 18 week training block. Aimed for sub 1:50, was perfectly on pace but had to drop out because of stomach issues (really needed a toiliet). I should be sad but I am not, quite the contrary. 18KM absolutely on pace and was strong to finish it really hard. It did not have to be this time, but I surely get it next time.
Congrats on the race ! Thank you for being such an inspiration, your daily vlogs are making it easier to turn that door knob (almost) every day. I would love to run a race for the first time this year, hopefully the restrictions will be lifted in France soon enough !
Your vlogs always leave me feeling inspired and smarter but this one had me choking up and fighting back tears. Your dedication to the sport and your followers, the camaraderie and competition. A beautiful capture of a day and a life of a runnwr. Thank you!
Had a big smile on my face throughout the whole vlog. Very inspiring and beautiful vlog. Have to say Toledo looks like a great city!! Onward and upward
Felt super emotional watching this today. From the community that’s built up, from the training journey to race day but most of all your humble and sincere approach is truly motivating and moving. Especially seeing the guys running 1st HM and coming back from illness 🙏🏻 Wonderful - truly wonderful.
ran the Austin half yesterday. Got a 10 min PR going from 1:58 to 1:48:30. Definitely came with some extra mental battles besides the race. From flight delays, to getting 0 sleep Friday because A&M was having their formal downtown and all the college kids were in the halls all night. (I'm getting old) Then Saturday evening sewage backed into our hotel room. Forcing us to cancel dinner plans. But I kept remembering just trust your training. Tuned out the many distractions and excuses. And stuck to the game plan and buttered that bread. DGR strong!
QD : After following Jack Daniels Red Plan (16 weeks for getting back into running), I decided to try myself at a 10km hoping to set a new PR (previous PR was 42:02) and get under 40'. I had a light breakfast after a good night sleep. I warm-up with 1km, few strides and one more kilometer. There was no wind, the temperature was perfect. The course had no elevation, following a path dedicated to bicyles and runners along the Rhone river in Lyon (France). I started a bit faster than expected for the first 3 km (3:49). I settled down at 4:04 for 6km except for km 6 where the terrain was dirt and not tarmac. I pushed hard on the last kilometer with a 3:57. I finished with 39:51. I'm proud and ever so grateful to my wife for her support these last 16 weeks. I wanted to run even more but it's important to spend some time with the wife and the girls. We don't get Andy's around here but we still went for an icecream in the afternoon. Now, I've 18 days to prepare for a half-marathon for the DeMoor Global Running Distance Classic with the objectives to set a new PR and break the 1h30!
I registered for the Eugene Marathon virtual race. I ran my first half marathon race yesterday morning. I was running a 7:30 pace before injuring my left calf around the 8 half miles. Finished the race at a time of 1:49:44; 8:23 pace. I still have to do the 5K virtual race since I signed up for the Double Stack Challenge. Thank you Seth for inspiring me to race again. I have not raced competitively since the fall 1999 when we won our cross country district title and qualified for regionals my senior year. Congratulations on your half marathon! Keep up the great work. God bless you and your amazing family.
Congratulations, Seth, on a great race! And also for creating today’s vlog - one of the most honest and beautiful depictions of what it truly means to come together for each other and our beloved sport. You remind us what it means to put yourself out there, day in and day out, and compete for all the right reasons. God bless the DeMoors who make us all proud
QD: no races here in Canada, but I did my longest run ever on Sunday, 22km at 43 years old! Proud of it. Looks like a good start for 2021! Thanks for your inspiration!
Seth, I’m originally from Toledo but haven’t been back home to visit for years. Your visit did such a beautiful job capturing the city! I did not expect to feel so nostalgic. Your videography skills really stand out regardless of being up on a 14er or in a cloudy midwestern city! Keep up the good work 💪🏼
I paced the 4:10 marathon group my first time pacing a race and only my second marathon! I'm training for a 24 hour trail race on June 5th where I plan to go 100+ miles! Best Wishes!
The drone shots in this one was incredible, the stadium in pitch black really set the scene and got me into racing mood! Just love the pre-race feeling. Keep it up, much appreciation.
I just discovered you when I was looking for a virtual half marathon to run in May to continue my goal of running a half marathon every month in 2021. Sometimes running feels like a lone activity, but it looks like you've created a great community of runners. Thanks for being an inspiration to us solitary runners, Seth! P.S. I love seeing the scapular flap in the breeze!
Inspiring me over here Sweden with all the camaraderie and stoke! And, as a professional commercial content creator, I’m in awe of how you create cohesive and beautiful stories from jumbled footage from lots of different people etc. You’re a supremely talented vlogger at this point. So inspirational!
That WAS a damn good vlog! Perfect blend of found beauty, hard work and sharing of the love. Your positivity is more contagious than COVID! Congrats on your result Seth. DGR strong. 💪
I had the opportunity to run the McKirdy Marathon in Grand Rapids, MI. I ended up finishing 2:37:36, which was a 4 second PR from my Glass City Marathon in 2006 (15 years ago)! Super happy with the result, and now I’m going to spend the summer focusing on shorter stuff to try and improve my speed.
I ran my first half marathon this weekend (1:31:03) and your videos have been a great help/boost towards doing it. I can only dream of shaving off that time to run close to your pace for that long. Congrats on your result Seth!
QD: went for a 10K time trial, after following a training plan for the last 3 months. Dropped my PR from 48:00 to 44:24! Thank you for inspiring us everyday Seth!
That must be the most rewarding thing about doing the vlog. Meeting all the people that watch and also the ppl whos life you have changed with the vlog! Amazing
Attempted a 50 mile out and back FKT trail course. Wind was crazy strong. At the turn around it was a direct 30 gust 45 head wind. Called it at 50 k. Still a good day on the trail. Ill try again in 4-5 weeks.
Hey Seth congratulations on your race!I woke up today at 330 am. Was going to watch your vlog right at 4 am west coast time but I told myself no vlog watching till I turn that doorknob. 6 miles done now I get to enjoy your vid! Thank you for your motivation and positivity ! We need a doorknob emoji ❤️
QD First time back at UofT since 1982 while at graduate school there. Rust buster race on Saturday in the Glass City Savage 5K. Met my "B" goal. Under 21:00 for age 64+ . Now to get back to under 20:00 in 2021. btw amazing editing on you Vlog
Thank you for all of you for providing this amazing footage. As I was watching it I could relive all the effort that went into this preparation but but perhaps more importantly the why.. Seth, I hope the running world is giving you back what you give us as runners, Your genuine unbiased approach to the sport is truly inspirational. Wherever she is ,Gabe must be looking down on you and must be proud to see legacy being so well carried.
Wow! I think this my favourite vlog so far. Been following you every day for a year, that was so well filmed and produced. It’s just gone midnight when I’m watching this but you have just made me go lay out my kit to get back out of that door 🚪 in the morning. Thanks for all you do Seth a truly inspirational and motivational human.
My Dear Seth, you are a great storyteller, you trully make me feel part of the fun. My heart was racing watching you run and you brought a smiles to my face at the cool down run. My smiles was so big my face hurt. Thank you for sharing and inspiring. My half is coming up this weekend! Gracias, Maria
Hey Seth and the camerateam, good job. Every day at 1 pm I'm excited watching your vlog in my lunchbreak. Always a pleasure and so grateful for the inspiration. DGR strong
I did Not race this weekend, but that's ok😁. Two things: I love to watch your pre race ritual. I ran my first marathon in November of 2019 and everything was all new to me. Watching you race Your first marathon and seeing the small details of the pre race ritual really helped me. I glued together My pre race routine from Yourself and Michael Ko and by watching older interviews with Ryan Hall and then I found what worked for me. Even though we are on totally different ends of the spectrum, it was really cool and also very comforting feeling like I had a buddy alongside me. My amazing wife Rosemary was also my MVP throughout the entire process. The second thing is: Seth, you are one of my favorite athletes to watch race. You really shine in a race. You always look really smooth and in control and that just keeps getting better with every race. So, I guess I'm saying, Thanks for taking me along with you. One day I hope to see you at the finish line.
My "weekend" just started, and im having a hard time getting motivated to get up for a long run, but I think I'm ready to go turn that doorknob after watching. Safe travels, Seth!
Amazing.. I have a 10 mile trail race in a couple of weeks time I needed a training run but couldn't be bothered going out I watched your vlog and pulled in my running shoes ..l had a great run any time I'm struggling I re run clips from your vlogs in my head and power on through ... such inspiration from all the DGR community work hard seek beauty love eachother
Awesome video man! The production in this is great! I'm a triathlete, but I love adding these standalone running races to my calendar and love your channel for great content and quality info!
I ran my Tune-Up 10K yesterday for my HM-TT coming soon. 2:44 PR at 45:00 flat. The Training Block is coming to an end and Seth inspiered me the whole way. Started the block with a 47:57 PR and worked my way down. WORK HARD!!!!
Interested to hear the final review on the Alphafly. When Seth is turning a corner at 5:41 it looks like his right foot wobbeling a bit too much, but not sure if that makes a noticeable difference or not.
Very inspiring Seth! Congratulations on your race results. And a big kudos to Xavier and others for the awesome film footage. So great to see the enthusiasm of the young runners out there for the group run!
Your positivity is endlessly inspiring! Congratulations on the third place Seth. I’ve been running for a while now but with no real purpose other than to keep fit and healthy. You’ve inspired me to sign up for my first ever race in my home town of Wolverhampton, England at the start of September. Half-marathon; 19 weeks out. Is that too long for a training block? Keep on inspiring. DGR Strong
WOW Seth i have no words to express the amount of inspiration, hope and love we feel out there!! Great job with filming but most of all great job giving us inspiration to reach our goals and beat our barriers and difficulties. Thank you.
QD: 1st race since September 20, part of a 5k series in York,UK, ‘The Run Best Even Pace 5K’. PB’d with a time of 18:20, previous official PB of 20:13. Great to be back racing.
Seth. When you put the post race summary together please consider reusing some of that great race video with your narration covering your form and other coach like observations about form. I did watch the race website live and believe that all podiums are Andy's worthy.
So happy to now be a part of the group! Congrats. Seth, on not only a great run but on building such a great community. Yesterday was such a busy day for you and you still found the time to give a Strava kudo to me on my recovery run! Who does that? Seth DeMoor does. Thanks.
Congrats Seth for your race and awesome vlog. QD: last Saturday ran a virtual HM associated with Tokyo Olympics, set new PR at 1:34:54. Very much pleased of that at age 39 :)
QD not this weekend but last one I ran my first “official” half marathon, we still don’t have real races ‘cause covid, but it was a virtual race and I really enjoyed it, I managed to make a steady pace and got a better time that I was looking for, congrats on the third place Seth!!

Thank you!
I'm so glad! THANK YOU for being a member Sonya!
QD: Half Marathon pb, and went under 90 mins at last! Not bad for a warm up race!!! Not bad for 58 either!
Amazing comment. Well said, Troy.
QD: no races here in Canada, but I did my longest run ever on Sunday, 22km at 43 years old! Proud of it. Looks like a good start for 2021! Thanks for your inspiration!
Keep it up! Just remember that consistency is more important than intensity.
Seth, I’m originally from Toledo but haven’t been back home to visit for years. Your visit did such a beautiful job capturing the city! I did not expect to feel so nostalgic. Your videography skills really stand out regardless of being up on a 14er or in a cloudy midwestern city! Keep up the good work 💪🏼
Wooohoooo! Love your little city!
I paced the 4:10 marathon group my first time pacing a race and only my second marathon! I'm training for a 24 hour trail race on June 5th where I plan to go 100+ miles! Best Wishes!
Jay from LA. Congrats on your second marathon. I will try my first one by December. Please let me know your weekly training.
The drone shots in this one was incredible, the stadium in pitch black really set the scene and got me into racing mood! Just love the pre-race feeling. Keep it up, much appreciation.
I never realized how slim and muscular Seth was till this video. He's a running machine!
Good eye on the scapular and thank you for watching and hitting that subscribe button.
DGR strong. 💪
Jason - Great comment. Truth.
Wow, that's a great Start!
Watching this has made me even more excited to our conversation live on UA-cam on the 4th. Amazing stuff Seth
Love the race vlogs. Really shows what an amazing community you have!
an amazing community that WE have : )
Thank you for being a member Daniel!
Hey Seth and the camerateam, good job. Every day at 1 pm I'm excited watching your vlog in my lunchbreak. Always a pleasure and so grateful for the inspiration. DGR strong
I ran a new 5k PR on the track 15:09.46. Wanted to break 15, but it will come. Awesome race Seth! Youre a huge inspiration to me.
Amazing.. I have a 10 mile trail race in a couple of weeks time I needed a training run but couldn't be bothered going out I watched your vlog and pulled in my running shoes ..l had a great run any time I'm struggling I
re run clips from your vlogs in my head and power on through ... such inspiration from all the DGR community work hard seek beauty love eachother
I ran the GCM half as well! Goal was sub-1:35, ended up with 1:35:11. Ran a smart, conservative start and finished fast! Well done on your end, too!
Great job Seth! Watching this vlog made me realize how much I miss races!! Can't wait to get back out there once I recover from a knee injury!
Thanks Courtney, you’ll be back, sooner than you think!
Awesome Seth! Nice job on the Vlog! Awesome job. I look forward to watching every day. Always enjoy and put a smile on my face.
Always appreciate the support
Just wanted to say that this vlog was beautiful to watch and the quality is amazing.
Awesome video man! The production in this is great! I'm a triathlete, but I love adding these standalone running races to my calendar and love your channel for great content and quality info!
Love it Seth! The group cool down looked like so much fun. You’ll have to come to the UK as soon as travel allows, so we can join in too.
The one dislike is from the guy that was aiming for the like but accidentally pressed the wrong one
there's 7 now. I suspect its guys who rushed out to a Ross and found no Nova blast on the shelf. They're taking it kind of hard.
@@ricodelavega4511 Yess, got to excited and now taking their disappointment out on this beautiful running channel.
🤩 the group gathering for a cold down run is what top’s this journey of with you. Thanks Seth.
DGR Strong
Amazing vlog!! Love it. You inspire more people than you know! Keep on rocking!
WOW Seth i have no words to express the amount of inspiration, hope and love we feel out there!! Great job with filming but most of all great job giving us inspiration to reach our goals and beat our barriers and difficulties. Thank you.
So cool you were able to run Glass City. I ran lots of races up there when we lived 14 years in Findlay which is 50 minutes south of Toledo
Kudos to the guy coming back from the stroke!! Wow, that's amazing!! Great race as always Seth!
I raced the Toledo Full yesterday! I was 7th female in 2:49:15. 10 min PR! Sorry I missed you!
Woooooooohooooooo 🎉 AMAZING!!!! Keep it rolling
Big Seth gettin' it done. Doing a great race AND video. Every video makes me a bigger fan.
thanks for sharing your life with us. Congrats on3rd place finish man!
QD: 1st race since September 20, part of a 5k series in York,UK, ‘The Run Best Even Pace 5K’.
PB’d with a time of 18:20, previous official PB of 20:13. Great to be back racing.
Did Cheshire Elite marathon, UK. Didnt quite get sub 2:20, however, sub 2:25 wasn't too bad.
Geeeezzzzzz, fast!!!! Major congrats!! Nice work!!!
Seth. When you put the post race summary together please consider reusing some of that great race video with your narration covering your form and other coach like observations about form. I did watch the race website live and believe that all podiums are Andy's worthy.
We did a half marathon trail run this weekend. Finished it in 1:28:38 and we took the W! Used a lot of the DGR tag lines during the suffering!
So happy to now be a part of the group! Congrats. Seth, on not only a great run but on building such a great community. Yesterday was such a busy day for you and you still found the time to give a Strava kudo to me on my recovery run! Who does that? Seth DeMoor does. Thanks.
Congrats Seth, these race's coverage are just superb!! What a family!!!
The race vlogs of this man are on a level of their own👏
Great as always brother. Congratulations on the Toledo experience. Just ordered some Mach 4's. Can't wait to test them bad boys!
Great effort Seth. Love how your always so nice to people. Top man.
Seth came in 3rd Place @5:09 pace & out of 1682 Runners.. Awesome Job!
