So the cut on the wing of the plane means canceling the new album that would bring a new tour (travels) and bring the reputation, spelled on the plane.

My fav theory for the plane scene is the infamous missing ts6 album. People correlate her cutting a wing off the plane and painting 'reputation' all over the windows as scrapping the og ts6 in 2016 after the kimye drama, and releasing reputation a year later. Many people thought a new era was upon us after she premiered the iconic bleachella look in the spring of 2016, because Taylor has a tradition of switching up hairstyles every album cycle (the 1989 cycle concluded in early 2016 after new romantics became the 7th single). I believe that Taylor has stated she had nothing planned for 2016 and that a reputation adjacent album was inevitable, regardless of the drama. So yeah, probably debunked but still wild

To me, the whole meaning of the wing getting cut, is that the plane was an album. 1989 came out in 2014, and she usually took two years to make an album, so 2016 would’ve been the time, bur in 2016 the whole 🐍, kim and kanye situation happened, and the album had to be stopped, forcefully, what happens after? she writes reputation on the plane, the name of the album that had to intercede.

If you look closely at the tail, the name of the plane is "TS6" (before she has her album name/era/theme, she names them numerically). The cutting off of the wing as she graffitis "reputation" symbolises the fact that all the drama with her reputation altered her plans for the album, and "reputation" happened instead.
