  • I've done heater cores on a Volvo 240 and on a Mercedes 190e, two of the most notoriously terrible heater core jobs. In contrast the Astro vans heater core is a breeze. Bleeding the system can be a bit more of a challenge though because the heater core is above the radiator cap.

Thanks for these videos. I can’t imagine what Trouble you go through to make these videos but I appreciate your hard work.
I live in a large city, nothing beats an Astro in terms of its reliability and size.

my 2000 chevy astro has no heat lately (unless its driving) my mechanic said it's the heater core and wanted a something like 600 to replace. but this looks easy, my question is, i'm checking out Rockauto and i'm seeing varying prices on the core.
obviously i know, the genuine GM 100$ core is the best, but could i get away with an OSC or Four seasons made heater core for less than half the price or would i just be screwing myself?

Are you able to tell me what the red clamps you use on the send and return are called? Having a hard time finding them.

I agree. I've seen videos of guys telling you that you have to open your hood and showing the hood release. If someone doesn't know how to open the fucking hood, they shouldn't be working on anything. Or how to remove hose clamps. One guy doing a video didn't even know that they were called hose clamps.
