    Volvo and Polestar have their charge ports on the drivers side rear, like Tesla, so there will not be issues with blocking chargers.

    I got the A2Z one and used your coupon code, thanks! I plan to use the Supercharger network only as a backup or in areas where it's the only option. It's a nice to have rather than a need to have for my road trips. I've already done several trips up and down the East Coast in my Polestar. Hopefully this will give some fence-sitters the motivation to go EV at least!

    If you are using the Tesla app to navigate, insure you precondition the battery or use the Volvo or Polestar on board navigation to precondition the battery for the best charging experience.

    Thanks for the video Tom, I got my A2Z adapter last week just in time for this news! Successfully charged on the Tesla SC network today. Great feeling. And as the charge port is in the same location as the tesla, I didn't need to take up 2 spots or park awkwardly!

    My wife has 2023 XC40 Recharge (before they started putting the bigger battery in it) and we used your coupon code for the A2Z, cost us $160.65 and will be here 11/4. We can't wait because it'll make roadtripping her car so much better, especially since I already have the Tesla app due to having a Model 3. I especially can't wait to start taking her car places and save the miles on mine. Thanks for the coupon code, saved us $70 when you look at A2Z cost vs Volvo adaptor.

    Thanks Tom! A2Z is doing a bundle discount when you get the Typhoon Pro and the Steller NACS To J1772 adapter for level 2 charging. The bundle discount along with the state of charge coupon code brought it down to just under 230, which was pretty nice

    A2Z adapter works great charging my P2. Same charging curve as CCS DCFC dispensers. Less than 20 seconds to start charging after plugging in. Beats the 1 to 3 minutes to start charging on EA network.

    The Volvo push notification Tuesday afternoon was probably one of the best I've had in months, this was a big part of the reason we traded our Model 3 in on a certified XC40 Recharge. Immediately jumped on to the A2Z site after seeing the Volvo part wait times, the cumbersome dealer order experience with no online option to pick the adapter up, and that it would just be the generic Tesla adapter going by what was shown on the Polestar site. Looking forward to taking the Supercharger on a test drive when the adapter arrives!

    Good coverage, thank you. You should add that a benefit of Polestar/Volvo EVs on NACs adapter usage is that the charging port is located at the rear/driver side which is the same as Tesla, allowing you to charge without taking up two spaces. Port location is becoming very important as more none Tesla vehicles have NACs adapters.

    I have been watching your channel for a while now and think its great. I've been on the EV fence because I want a car with NACS connector. I feel buying a car with a CCS1 adapter is like buying something with obsolete technology. Since charging a major function/feature an EV, a car with native NACS may offer higher or faster charging time. My first choice at present is a Polestar 2. Having to wait to till 2025 or 2026 is a long time, but with each years improvement in range and features I'm willing to wait. I don't think it should take this long. What's your thought?

    • @ralstm1
      @ralstm1 2 місяці тому

      I was likewise looking forward to a Volvo with a NACS charging port.
      But I now realize that I will always need to carry an adapter. Even after the changeover.
      Because I may occasionally have a need to "go back to" a CCS charger, if that is more convenient on a road trip.
      In the evolving "Charging Standard" shake-out, I will still want to be able to charge at either Tesla superchargers or the widely-available CCS1 chargers that still exist, and will exist for many years.
      Another great video, Tom.

If I didn’t know you from Batteries Included I wouldn’t guess that a thumbnail so plain and boring had content of high quality and shot in person. This leaves Hyundai/Kia as the last to receive Supercharger access doesn’t it? And last I heard, only 2024 and newer model Hyundais and Kias will have access to the Supercharger network, meaning my 2022 Ioniq 5 will not be able to charge at those Superchargers. I think that is not fair, but on the other hand, Superchargers are rare as hen’s teeth out here in the middle of the country, only located on Interstates with gaps of 250 miles in between those sites and Interstate highways. There is only one Supercharger site here in Oklahoma in the entire western half of the state and it is only a V2 which non-Teslas cannot charge at at all. So Supercharger access really doesn’t mean a lot to me, but I wish it did.
