I played music at her house at 885 Clayton St for a few years or so (2010 - 2013). She had the every other week, Friday, San Francisco Folk Music Club song swap at her house. Luckily there was the front room where the rock n rollers and we would gather and play our music. Down in the basement were the Jug Band players. Faith ran the main room off the kitchen where folks of MANY levels played, sang and shared. I played in there a few times. As performer I have to admit it was pretty damn boring musically but I did it because I could tell I was in the presence of a legend. She surely was. Her heart was represented in what she was doing and how she was there for us all for 50 years+. She stood up for me when there was an attack on me and my rock n roll friends and our involvement in the club. Faith stood up for us. Then she at times was rude as hell when we were in her music room ..... clueless is maybe a better way to characterize it. A mixed bag folks. Wonderful to a fault and then rarely but often enough a complete jerk for no clear reason. So take this woman with a grain of salt. She is way more human than you know. Still in all there was only one like here and there may never be another like her for a LONG LONG time. I am grateful for all she did and for who she was, faults and all.
She still believed in her convictions and her fights. I guess that she's American.. she must be so disappointed of USA's politics.. RIP to her if she's dead, she has been one of the best grandmothers ! ❤🟥✊️🕊
