I was going to say the same thing. There's no way a single timer block could do so lany functions make it take about 3-4 steps per second. I had an idea not too long ago to set up a system similar to that to provide more accurate timing for something in an official server. Problem is that it may cause issues do to a bug I have discovered involving spinning grids
Actually the spinning thing is not decoration, its a clock because natively SE only supports 1 second cycles, it triggers that sensor way faster than 1s and maximizes the speed with these short legs
That actually wouldn’t be that hard to do in SE. all you need is a ship with landing gear connected to the suits so you can drop them. I actually made something similar to what I just described for dropping cargo containers onto the surface of planets.
That is legit impressive. I know that large builds get a lot of acclaim because of the amount of time it obviously takes to get some of these large builds done but getting a tiny build like this done and working well is also pretty amazing in its own way.
@@gecko2.617 Very true that was a stroke of genius. I don't think I ever heard or seen another build use that method for timing before. Being able to cut out every thing else until you only have what you really need to make them work is important on most tiny builds like this.
I always loved the idea of a small mech like this, but rather then combat it'd be instead used for mining and utility being able to be used for a variety of purposes and highly adaptable. Like a little Swiss army knife.
I Created an entire endoskeleton with more than 5k Blocks and i instantly regret trying to program it. See You in a couple years when i manage to finish.
Would be nice if Keen would add blocks to better support mechs. Being able to build more robust mechs that actually walk and can do task would open such a new aspect of space engineers. oh well.
The awe of this creation is only matched by the disappointment of knowing we can never use it in survival thanks to projector limitations. The multiplayer applications are wondrous but good luck getting anyone to manually recreate it on a server. KEEN PLZ.
"script free" -> shows a script mh... -_- btw i've tried to do this with motors and without scripts long ago... it was fkng hard :| the "spring reaction" of the leg with low torque was hard to manage... btw... nuclear reactor in front of the face... "safety fiiiirst..." "what could go wrong?" xD
I think the Sensor is nothing Else but the switch to return the rotors for movement. With the spinning block and the sensor you should be able to change the movement speed. If you slow down the spinning block, the sensor will be activated slower and your walker will move slower. Every Time the spinning block Switches the sensor, the legs are moving. Just a thinking... I dont have downloaded it, it is only how i would build it
@@zoivac1048 it is definitely a clock used by the timer block to dictate the leg motion, and you could speed it up or slow it down I would assume. But we know its a clock because SE usually only supports 1 second ticks, while the timer block here is moving the legs way faster then 1 tick a second, and that motion matches the spinner passing the sensor, so its 100% a clock used to dictate the mechs motion.

the spinning piece and sensor on the back are actually dictating the timing of the leg motion.
I noticed this too and even guessed that would be the case as doing it with the timer block would mean a slow walk speed
who are you, who is so wise in the ways of Space Engineers?
yeah, as soon as I saw the spinning block and sensor I was like ohhh thats how it walks, very cool. and hes like I think this is decoration lol

really surprised he didnt clock that
imagine dropping these from a ship and using the thruster to slow down that would be dope

artificial gravity goes brrrrr
Artificial mass blocks on a toggle

Finally. A vanilla walker with the new parts.
well now i wanna go create something like this but i know ill just end up building an abomination that backflips into the ground
It'll take time for sure, but eventually you'd get it right
If Clang tries to kill it, you're heading towards glory.
You just need to keep throwing builds at him until he lets something through.
oh yes the best place for a reactor, directly in front of your family jewels
New Radioactive Balls! TM
No family jewels
Free sterilization
Genius : the rotor moving part in front of the detector is giving the rythm to the legs.... very nice.
It would be so cool having se vr with this exo suit, too bad se doesn’t support vr
As far as I know they are trying to make space engineers 2 to be compatible with vr
You kinda can put VR on it but you'll still need a keyboard
This reminds me of titanfall

Yep, they added hinges!
Might I suggest the anime Code Gease design it has wheels on its legs or the one from Sakura Wars That steampunkish Mecha design for reference
Could someone put this on mod. Io? Rlly want it on xb1
