- i turned a green maple bowl and discovered it had a bunch of wood rot in it, so i removed all the rot and let it sit and dry for some time. this is where this video starts. i decided to try filling the voids with glow in the dark epoxy and this is how it went.

Very nice job. Like the resin solution. If you wanted to work on the dings a bit you could add a glue block to the base and finish it. Then part of the glue block and hand finish the base.
Heat gun will help with the bubbles but a pressure pot is best. Vacuum chuck is very nice to have also.
Cracking first effort, we all learn from our mistakes man :)
I got the same lathe , good job.
Great job
put your bowl in a pressure pot and leave it over night and the air bubbles will not be there
This is absolutely the best way to do it. I think it'll make the epoxy much clearer too.
Why did you stop making videos?
I Got busy with other stuff, but I've been meaning to make more. I've got a laundry list of projects I'd like to make some videos on. So stay tuned!
