Cam, I cannot stress enough how much I admire your humbleness and genuineness. You make fantastic tables and I find your videos wholesome and entirely satisfying to watch. I am a builder here in Australia and you can imagine the LAST thing i would want to see is a work-working video when I get home from work. Yet, here we are. :D
A keynote speaker at an event I was at once said that "Aussies can sniff bullshit from 50 paces"... I think that's why the unvarnished truth (pun intended) is respected for us, and most of us are very egalitarian. I too love Cam's work. I'm so tempted to substantially increase my tool collection, just so I have a hobby. ;-)
After watching the video advert i was still skeptical. But when i finally downloaded the plans ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG i was very impressed. The whole plan was just as you said in the video. Thank you very much. I now have a large and valuable collection for my woodworks. This is great!
No question. But your videos are therapeutic. I finish my day here in Australia, working in IT, then handling my 2 kids. By 9 pm I’ve lost will to live. Then watch your one of your videos and I sleep happy!
Been doing exterior construction for over 20 yrs..... Been burnt out for so long, so I wanna thank you for inspiring me, creating is what drives me, not content creating, just create....
Cam, I owned a cabinet, millwork and panel processing company in Huntington Beach in the 70's & 80's. We did a lot of very high end corporate conference tables with very expensive exotic veneers. We always tried to convince the customer to use resing coatings to preserve these woods that are vanishing in our modern world. If you do it right they will last forever. It was also a ongoing revenue source because we could go out and refurbish the surfaces on sight. I love your love for God's creations and your desire to respect and preserve that beauty. Thanks.
Cam. G'day mate. No questions just admiration. You are everything a good UA-camr should aspire to be. Informative, creative, talented and your dry sense of humour guarantees me at least one good laugh each video. Honestly, I have sometimes burst out laughing at you banter. I hadn't noticed how fast you speak until you mentioned it, now I am almost tempted to check my playback speed. I work hard for a living in a shipyard, all toxic and sterile. I am though, a gardener by trade and nature. Watching your videos is a joy, to relax to and watch a natural media be lovingly showcased. The epoxy side is a bit of a sore point with me though, because after years of exposure to two-pack epoxy paint as I mix it and run paint machines, often hundreds of litres per coat, for hours at a time, I have become sensitized to it and it is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Glad to hear you let it cure well before finishing. Often I have to sand freshly sprayed epoxy after it has hardened after only one day and the dust is a nightmare for me. Though I have over the last couple of years learned to mitigate the worst of it. A tip for you is, I use petroleum jelly as a barrier cream, it seems to work well. Cheers, Joel.
Cam, this is gorgeous. My wife wants a round small table for a corner in the living room. The base will be an old sewing-machine base. Definitely going to use your methods. Will be ordering a few items from your links as well. Thank you for your lessons. I also appreciate that you put in your videos mistakes and the like. It makes it real and we all learn from that.
Hi CAM! This round table from a 'scrap' of wood is marvelously done by you. The only trouble is that if I used it in my house I'd have to throw out all of my other furnishings! Someday when I win the lottery I'll come to you and order something smashing and then after it's installed I'll invite all the neighbors and family over and look down my long nose at them! Thanks for showing the fascinating way it all comes together.
Cam - I've JUST discovered your vids on a subject I've been interested in exploring - as _one_ of the reasons we bought this ( our new ) property right AT when this vid was first published, right at_ a year ago. The main feature HERE was a NICE-sized Shop which I was _hoping_ I could start doing something like what I'm seeing here in your vids . I'm glad I've discovered your vids, and hope to gain the insights necessary to make a worth-while go of something FAR more modest than - but still inspired by - your content here. Thanks for the encouragement ! Also, the narration is a HUGE positive factor helping me (us) to understand not _only_ what we see you doing, but your thinking behind it as well . Finding MANY of the tools and products I'll need for success as affiliate links in the supplemental portion of your post is a HUGE help , TOO ! I expect it'll save, eliminate or at least _reduce_ the side-work of experimenting with what tools , equipment, epoxies, finishes , etc. to use that "might" work ... 👍! All the BEST from Texas ! - Chuck .
I really appreciate how detailed your videos are. I have never made one of these tables, but after watching your videos I feel confident with making my first attempt! Much appreciated 👌
Cam, im not a wood-worker per-say but ever since i bought my house i found myself turning into a jack-of-all-trades. That being said, i know the amount of work it takes to build something 1/10th as nice as this.... you really do go above and beyond. This is one of the nicest tables i have ever seen, amazing job - congrats on *ONE MILLION* subscribers! They are well deserved, cant wait to see you get your own TV show like 'Tank Boss' or 'Restoration Pros' or even a full scale resto and builds like 'This Old House'! Thanks for the killer content, cant wait for more!!
Hey, I am one , who don't have a any relation with carpantry or furnitures. But I kind of used to see your content in my free time. One this that I leant from you, whatever you do give your best, even if no one is watching. Appreciate your work.
Cam, It's beautiful. I have to admit I'm seriously considering picking up this craft as a hobby. And your presentations are perfect. My issues will be room, my wife has about $10K in sewing machines and no place for sawdust in the "craft room and our garage is wall-to-wall in "stuff"(her stuff).
Lmao I can attest, sewing takes up a lot of space 😂 once I starting sewing, there was just no going back, and have less and less room for myself in my own apartment! But maybe you can come up with storage solutions so both of you can fit in the craft room!
Ron.... i think its time to buy a new house (or a new wife!) hahaha just kidding! But for real, get her to 'go-in' with you on a group project. If your both involved she will be alot more open to you expanding your shop as its not just your hobby, its one you guys can do together! Hope it works out for you two and best of luck on your next project!
Cam, looks great. Thanks for going at a faster pace but slow enough that you can explain everything. I’d rather watch a 15 minute video like this than a 50 minute video where someone explains every step they are doing in incredible detail
Cam, Once again you raised the bar! I love the voice over. Even though you speed through your videos the description of the process and the fact you talk about the mishaps makes it so informative! Thank you for sharing your passion with us all!
Very impressive. This is the second video I’ve watched of yours. The attention to detail and quality of your work shows your level of passion towards your work. Keep up the great videos and work.
So glad I found upon your channel, I'm a residential carpenter, mostly doing builtins, crowns, door and window casings ect. I've been toying with the idea of building projects like what you produce. Would be nice to be in the shop without having to intrude on people's homes and bring every tool under the sun to do the most basic jobs. Looks very satisfying to create such incredible art. Thank you for the great camera work and attention to detail.
That trileg metal base was fantastic great blend of wood and metal. Although I will admit the wood bases you make that are of your creative flare are my favorites. BTW, 30 minute or more videos are all okay with me. They are so instructional I learn new things the more I watch you and listen to your commentary. 🤔👍🏻
Cam! I've just found your channel and binged it basically. I love your honesty about the errors and actually teaching something (because you learn the most from mistakes). Great work!
Cam! French speaker here, and photographer, all of your references on this video speak to me! You are fast indeed, but after 5 years living in ireland I don't struggle at all, so I'm pretty proud! The photos in the end are really good, keep it up!
Cam, absolutely stunning. Im an aspiring wood worker and this is something I could only dream of doing. Really great work. Thank you for your time man.
Cam, amazing table. I am just starting my woodworking journey at that young age of 58. You are an inspiration to me. I never miss a video. Thanks for the links to all the great tools and supplies. My budget is not so happy, but maybe someday I'll be able to make some cash with what right now is a hobby!
Worked as a furniture designer/illustrator/draftsman for 24 years. At 50, it's time to start my DIY journey buying one tool at a time and making homemade ones.
I'm Portuguese English is my second language and I understand everything you say. I don't think you speak too quickly, and the accent is excellent. American English is perfect, British is the worst of them all I can't understand what they say. I love seeing 'Allo 'Allo! on the BBC, but unfortunately only with subtitles. Australian English is also very good I get 95%. By the way, you are a master at your job, the tables are always perfect. 👍
Cam: I love how you show the entire process, errors and all. I get tired of the perfectly done videos that make the rest of us feel inferior! ;) Loved it, makes me eager to get my first table made.
Cam, as someone starting out in woodworking (just finished my first college course) its awesome to see the beautiful work that can be done. Gives me confidence and inspiration to aim for the skill level your at. Thanks ... +1 subscriber!!
Thank you for the perfect speed to content ratio of your videos without any useless information or unnecessary extension. I wish more content creators would work like you! I do woodwork in my small workshop at home as well, not professionally, only for myself. It is great to see your techniques and tools. I always learn something from you, thanks! Greetings from Germany
I watch a lot of UA-cam woodworking videos, and there's a real refreshing honesty about your work and your content creation. Very glad I found your channel.
Mesmerizing watching you go from wood most people would pass by without a thought to your beautiful piece of art. Thanks for posting. It was amazing to watch it come to life.
Cam, thank you for what you do... you’ve inspired me to finally just feet first into woodworking.. I did my first set of outdoor chairs today. Woodworking is therapeutic for me and freeing! Thank you for the videos!
Cam, that is a beautiful table. Even though I watch all of your videos to their full length I do not usually comment. You have given me a ton of inspiration and ideas and you have helped me avoid a lot of mistakes. Thank you and keep up the amazing work.
Cam, loved the table, turned out amazing. I have been resin casting and had some issues with soft casts, which makes me rethink my mixing process. I am a big believer in mold release, it is one step that saves so much time. Thinking about how you took a tail pice to fill the larger empty section, something very similar could be done with a bunch of smaller fragments and ends. I particularly enjoy how you are learning to develop your craft and are not afraid to experiment, which can produce some beautiful and unexpected results. I liked the natural wood showing through on the burned piece, it gave it character, intentionally warping could produce some outstanding results, looking forward to joining you in your journey. Cheers!
Absolutely gorgeous ❤️. I love the intricate details in wood. Every piece is different and unique. Brining out the true beauty is the hard part. You did fantastic at that.
Cam,the most Beautiful tables I’ve ever seen is Black Walnut with the Black Epoxy.Your the first person that has created such a Beautiful Work of Art,Thank you my friend!
I’m going to throw my coffee table from Target in the river now. That thing needs to be in the air and space museum with a miniature space shuttle sitting on top!
Cam... I just discovered your channel and I'm binge watching when I have time. Thank you for putting it all together and all the hard work creating your pieces.
Hi Cam! This is one of the finest looking tables I've ever watched you make. Not only is it round and not too large but the pieces of wood involved are absolutely lovely. I was a custom house builder and I can think of a few places I built where your creative efforts would have made a big difference. I'm sorry I hadn't been in the same time slot as you! One other thing about the base: I think it is overwhelming for the size and design of the table and detracts from the top. A Saarinen-style tulip base in invisible black would have been perfect. And, thanks for your marvelous, detailed work.
Beautiful work! Love the various techniques, tools and products you've developed over time, which is the mark of a dedicated craftsman. I've always enjoyed woodworking and don't get enough time to do more, so your videos provide a great deal of satisfaction.
Cam, proud of you and what you do! To do what you love and make a living is a blessing. My dad was just recently able to make his passion his full time job from home and it just makes me so happy. Love your videos and your work!
Cam, that is stunning work. I would love to see what one might look like with clear epoxy. It might end up with a cool 3D effect as you’d be able to see the sides of the wood within the table surface!
Cam That is a beautiful table! I think it would be cool to do an entire root slab/ epoxy table(Without cutting the root down) maybe with a ocean blue tint to contrast with the dark walnut. It would definitely be more of a dinner size table. Anyway just an idea and keep up the fine work Buddy! 😎👍🥃🇺🇸
I was thinking the same thing. The form of the wood was beautiful, the table would have been prettier if the whole wood was made to a bigger round table. :) But over all, the table is amazing.
beautiful , but what impresses me most is you using wood that others would throw away ( not me ) . i'm a stickler for using as much of your resource as you can . no reason for wasting material in my eyes except for laziness . well done lad .
I took a couple woodworking classes in high school and middle school, but man this kind of stuff still amazes me, seeing how you get around different problems is really cool.

Cam, I'm currently binge-watching your content and I love how gorgeous your work is. I love the hint you gave (in a different video) about having a very detailed-oriented wife as I am one of those myself and always try to give useful advice on my husband's projects. I'll keep watching your videos as I really enjoy watching them, watching you put your skills to very good use and admiring the end results of your creations 👍 😉
Cam, that is a stunning result. well done. I live in Kenya and I would love to do similar work with some of our beautiful wood, but I know that epoxy is expensive in itself, and then I would have to add about $7 per pound to fly it here, plus 25% import duty, plus 16% Value Added tax, plus import clearing cost!! I would never find a customer prepared to pay the costs involved. So I just sit and admire your beautiful work. Harry in Nairobi.
Cam, I'm a very new subscriber to your channel and I am absolutely in love with these pure works of art that you are creating. The commentary, the shots, the brief walk through of your process all of it is just nice to relax to. Greetings from New Zealand.
So I just wanted to tell you. that I am lowkey addicted to your videos. I barely watch TV, UA-cam or Netflix, but the way I enjoy your videos. I dont even understand it you so cool and humble. I think its cause you don complicate things you add a lot of value in every single video. Just wanted to thank yo for what you do. I really enjoy your videos and pray the Lord always blesses you your craft and your business.
I stay as far away from wood work as I can, but like these videos so much! I do often wish that you had more colors though. Like a colourful epoxy resin. I'd love to see videos of other shades
Cam, such a beautiful table! I thoroughly enjoyed watching you make this and I’m now getting more excited that my husband and I will be making our own small table eventually from a wood slab from some oak trees we had to take down.
Cam, I discovered your videos recently and absolutely love them!! I love watching how you take something so simple as a slab of wood and turn it into a beautiful work of art. Keep up the good work and maybe one day I will be able to purchase something for my new home.
Cam, excellent work! Love that you document both the journey of creating the piece and your journey of photography and video making. Really cool stuff and an interesting new perspective. Subscribed!
Excellent!! I’ve been a woodworker for years. Nothing like what you do but smaller things. I like the fact there’s no annoying music playing just explaining how you do this. Thanks for the great videos
Cam, new subscriber here, really enjoying your videos. Really like the work you do, must feel really nice to have the sort of job that ends in a finished product you can take some real pride in. Looks like a rewarding experience.
Cam!!! Beautiful table. I would love to see an orange-fire epoxy added to a table like that. Maybe even add some LEDs to make it light up and really show the grain off. Just a thought.
Cam, I've been really binging your content for the past few weeks, and I'm absolutely enjoying the content that you're making. I'm just a small furniture manufacturer, working and producing epoxy tables, but your content surely is educating me. I got to know so many things about my techniques of where I've been going wrong, what all mistakes I've been doing, etc. Your content has truly resolved all my major problems that I've faced while working with epoxy. Thanks Cam! Really looking forward to the videos that you upload in the foreseeable future! 👍🏽
I used to think that to till I got my first quite from a youtuber I got to forge my knife for up north here In Canada:) not as bad as you think, these guys aren't put to gouge anyone i find :)
Cam - definitely recommend checking out the book “Light: Science and Magic” since you mentioned wanting to work on your photography. It’s basic theory about how light works in relation to photography and applies so well to the pieces you’re trying to shoot. Love the tables. -d
That is one FANTASTIC looking table ❤️❤️❤️ I *gasped* when you poured in the black epoxy, but then realized after planing, brought the wood grain back.
Cam, beautiful work, you’re really a master at your craft and thanks for all the advices! A plan on making my first epoxy table this week, wish me luck :)
Cam: in a previous table you went through every single pore and imperfection in the finished wood and filled in manually with super glue or something like that. This time you painted the entire surface with epoxy before the fill. Does that eliminate the super glue step?
Cam, I like this video and table just as much the 3rd time around. I've finally poured A round with wood actually I did #3 today. 14" mold for lazy susans. So far so good. Mainly, thanks to all your great instructions. As always, Thanks
Me, a college student that doesn't even have a simple saw: Ahhhh yes, osmo finish, clear glass, I like those.

Cam, thank you for what you do... you’ve inspired me to finally just feet first into woodworking.. I did my first set of outdoor chairs today. Woodworking is therapeutic for me and freeing! Thank you for the videos!
That’s awesome Jay!
Good luck on you're journey!!! 👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏 NEVER TOO LATE!
Cam. This table is absolutely breathtaking! You’re a great artist.
Cam, that is a beautiful table. Even though I watch all of your videos to their full length I do not usually comment. You have given me a ton of inspiration and ideas and you have helped me avoid a lot of mistakes. Thank you and keep up the amazing work.
Do we products like this in South ?
Do we have products like this in South Africa?

Thanks so much!
Cam,the most Beautiful tables I’ve ever seen is Black Walnut with the Black Epoxy.Your the first person that has created such a Beautiful Work of Art,Thank you my friend!
Cam I love the table legs as they are. It looks like aluminium. Great table keep up the great work
so cool...
I’m going to throw my coffee table from Target in the river now. That thing needs to be in the air and space museum with a miniature space shuttle sitting on top!
Cam... I just discovered your channel and I'm binge watching when I have time. Thank you for putting it all together and all the hard work creating your pieces.
I really appreciate your commentary. Many channels do everything without description which can be frustrating.
Beautiful. I've just finished building the mold for my first attempt. You're a great inspiration.
CAM! Amazing video! The wife passed by as I was watching it and now wants to work together at creating a table of our own. Thanks! :)
@Blacktail Studio you didn't reply to this comment ;)

After looking up the Saarinen tulip table I completely agree with you.
The base in the video makes the item look like an oversized barstool.
Cam That table was truly beautiful
Beautiful work! Love the various techniques, tools and products you've developed over time, which is the mark of a dedicated craftsman. I've always enjoyed woodworking and don't get enough time to do more, so your videos provide a great deal of satisfaction.
Cam, proud of you and what you do! To do what you love and make a living is a blessing. My dad was just recently able to make his passion his full time job from home and it just makes me so happy. Love your videos and your work!
Awesome work Cam, love how natural the tables look.
At 1.10 you're are cleaning the UK! Good work Cam!
Hi Cam, I just wanted to say that this is a beautiful table! Great job!
:) But over all, the table is amazing.
beautiful ,
but what impresses me most is you using wood that others would throw away ( not me ) .
i'm a stickler for using as much of your resource as you can . no reason for wasting material in my eyes except for laziness .
well done lad .
Oh thanks Lea!
CAM...I like your fast style of talking and moving quickly through the video. You get a lot of information out very quickly. Good job.
CAM, NO QUESTIONS, JUST TOTAL ADMIRATION FOR YOUR TALENT AND THANKS FOR SHARING!
THANKS, TONY
Cam, that is a stunning result. well done.
I live in Kenya and I would love to do similar work with some of our beautiful wood, but I know that epoxy is expensive in itself, and then I would have to add about $7 per pound to fly it here, plus 25% import duty, plus 16% Value Added tax, plus import clearing cost!! I would never find a customer prepared to pay the costs involved.
So I just sit and admire your beautiful work.
Harry in Nairobi.
Ouch. Time to make your own epoxy
I feel you on that Harry, regards fellow Kenyan
Have you tried a boat yard in Mombasa? I use marine epoxy. They will have it.
Cam, I'm a very new subscriber to your channel and I am absolutely in love with these pure works of art that you are creating. The commentary, the shots, the brief walk through of your process all of it is just nice to relax to. Greetings from New Zealand.
I absolutely love it. Beautiful. You’re a true artisan Cam.
Thanks sue!
Cam, Impressive craftsmanship, really great work!
Cam, such a beautiful table! I thoroughly enjoyed watching you make this and I’m now getting more excited that my husband and I will be making our own small table eventually from a wood slab from some oak trees we had to take down.
Adding that additional piece to fill in the big void was brilliant. It accentuated the whole table so nicely
Cam, I discovered your videos recently and absolutely love them!! I love watching how you take something so simple as a slab of wood and turn it into a beautiful work of art. Keep up the good work and maybe one day I will be able to purchase something for my new home.
Cam! That is so beautiful! ❤️
Cam, your work is excellent - I might even have a crack at doing this myself! I'll be sure to let you know how I go.
Meus parabéns,você fez um lindo trabalho.
Congratulations,beautiful job!!!
Há sempre um brasileiro nos comentário em todos os vídeos do youtube! É nois 🇵🇹🇧🇷
Cam, I came across your channel lately, and they are all asmr!
Keep up the awesome work
:p
Cam, I've been really binging your content for the past few weeks, and I'm absolutely enjoying the content that you're making. I'm just a small furniture manufacturer, working and producing epoxy tables, but your content surely is educating me. I got to know so many things about my techniques of where I've been going wrong, what all mistakes I've been doing, etc. Your content has truly resolved all my major problems that I've faced while working with epoxy. Thanks Cam! Really looking forward to the videos that you upload in the foreseeable future! 👍🏽

Cam, that is an incredibly beautiful table! Can’t wait to make a river table of my own. I will be using your techniques 🤠
Cam, again I learned about your craft! I am enjoying all your videos!
One day, one day I will be able to afford a table this amazing.
I’m ready when you are 😊
I used to think that to till I got my first quite from a youtuber I got to forge my knife for up north here In Canada:) not as bad as you think, these guys aren't put to gouge anyone i find :)
Just make you're own
Cam , the table looks amazing, I jus watch Ur videos for enjoyment 😂
Cam - definitely recommend checking out the book “Light: Science and Magic” since you mentioned wanting to work on your photography. It’s basic theory about how light works in relation to photography and applies so well to the pieces you’re trying to shoot. Love the tables. -d
I need the help!
That is one FANTASTIC looking table ❤️❤️❤️
I *gasped* when you poured in the black epoxy, but then realized after planing, brought the wood grain back.
All one see is tabletops, countertops etc. Just wondering, can one make your front door the same way 🤔
I think it will be amazing
Maybe!
Oh man, that sounds like a super good idea!!!
Yes. I have seen shelves, front doors, and wardrobe too. It's just what you want to achieve like when you use a wood.
Cam I discovered your site today must say I'm impressed with your skills and will follow you here on out. Thanks Jim
Nope. I still had to do a lot of that. Just didn’t show as much if it. Still showed a quick clip though.
Cam,
I like this video and table just as much the 3rd time around. I've finally poured A round with wood actually I did #3 today. 14" mold for lazy susans. So far so good. Mainly, thanks to all your great instructions.
As always, Thanks
Muito legal parabéns lindo trabalho 👏👏👏🙏❤ e fica com Deus.
