Love my Dometic NRX-130c! It replaced a failing AC/Propane fridge in my '96 Lance Squire Lite 195 truck camper. Installation was pretty straightforward. The door and hinges did have to come off to fit through the camper's doorway, but I was going to reverse the fridge door anyways. I have 200w of solar on the roof, a MPPT solar charge controller, and a 100ah LiFePO4 battery. The NRX-130c draws about 4.5 amps while the compressor is kicked on from what I've observed. We went for a whole week on the beach boondocking this summer, and more often than not, my charging system was in Float/Standby by the end of each day. Not a cheap option ($1299 shipped), but seems to be solidly built, efficient and reliable.

Hey! We luv ya man and your builds. We r just beginners…How can I learn the basic craft of building-starting with how to use electric tools (I mean Beeeginer? Would you suggest a tech/trade school. I still can’t believe I did not make my dad (fine cabinet maker from Italy to success in the trade in USA…teach me the trade but back then only the sons were thought so I always thought I couldn’t. I love watching u and your team create and wish u were still on your show but this is awesome that you started a UT channel. I can’t wait to see your next one. I wish you would do a beginners teaching series?💕👍

We are so happy to have found y’all 😀 and look forward to all the much needed upgrade to our electrical system, new solar, fan & bed. The updates on the progress’s have been awesome. …. Our van had been hit by a massive hail & lighting storm smashing out windows and the solar / electrical system - which I tried to replace ourselves- fyi - don’t do that 😵‍💫 ( the van is now called the chicken pock express - lol). ….. we know our van is now in good hands

unique build. really like the dinette area by the sliding door. interesting choice to put the max air van over the bed ad the AC unit by the shower and galley. wondering how the humidity for the shower will escape.

*****Thank you Brett and Michael! You could NOT have made this process any more enjoyable. You Never said NO to a single idea. We flipped the design several times until we got it right and that never seemed to bother you. Im so glad that we did. Even my decision to shorten the bed length suddenly afforded me the drawers and pantry I was missing. Every phone call or email always ended positive and you always invited me to reach out with any new questions. I’ll also add that I had a very specific aesthetic that I hadn’t seen in any other van videos Anywhere and you guys let me run with it. Even telling me how much you enjoyed seeing the vision at the end. Monkey wallpaper? Yes! Finally, viewers should know that it does have a Laveo toilet that’s not pictured here. I didn’t want to have to mess with emptying a black tank or have two different toilet tanks to have to empty, so I think this Laveo alternative is really going to work for me. It also has a portable 2 burner induction stove that I can use in the kitchen or on the flip top shelf reachable from the outdoors. It was a TOTALLY awesome experience to work with Chewy. I have ZERO background in van life but was never made to feel ignorant…which I AM😉! Going forward, I am confident that they will be available to help me learn the ropes and get my legs under me. I’d highly recommend you working with them. It was a total joy for me! I’d absoLUTEly work with them, again! Thanks again, guys…🌻Laura
