Heya Requim, wanted to thank you for your years of service for the ww1 sim community. I got ROF back in late 2012 and I just finally got flying circus today. I feel like I've been watching your content for a long time.
    You're a good damn hero m8

It's all good Fenin, I love the WWI stuff. There's just something very different about fighting in these airplanes compared to WWII and jets :-) I've definitely been at these videos for a while now, so thanks for sticking around with me ALL this time!!

@@RequiemsACTL No problem my guy, keep trucking. You're very right tho, I've been playing dcs for the last year and had kind of taken a sim vacation for a year or so before that. I booted up ROF yesterday and flew around in my old Roland and Pfalz D.IIIa for a while. As much as I love dcs for it's complexity of avonics and systems the feeling of these old crates is different. Special. The F-18 feels like I'm flying the most nimble dos computer ever made.
Still downloading FC right now, been reading they made the Dr1 a lot more usable. How do you feel about the two in comparison?

I enjoy flying the F-18 too :-) The airplanes definitely look better in Flying Circus though. As for how they fly it feels the same to me for the most part, but I haven't extensively tested the differences as I don't have RoF installed at the moment...so any changes could be more subtle and recognised by someone currently flying RoF.

@@RequiemsACTL I'll get back to you later then. Lemme warm up my anecdote cannons, and get off work lmao.

@@RequiemsACTL So. Poked around in the FC Dr1 and the RoF one. I honestly can't tell the difference between them. Maybe the RoF one is a little more squirrelly to the left? The only real difference I found was that the FC bird was easier to land, RoFs floats like a pool toy.

It dives like an eagle and is difficult to overspeed, so if you're in trouble and you have altitude...chop that throttle and go straight down! Other airplanes will just zoom past.

Wow, that was really cool! I was never a pilot, but if I were, the D3A would be my first choice (even in this age of Cessna's, etc.!)

+RequiemBoS *The Reflektorvizier was an experimental technology of the Great War* that helped the German air-hunt pilots of certain _Jagdſtaffeln_ maintain situational awareness; all sides would use reflector/collimator sights in subsequent wars. Any instances of both reflector and telescope sights on one aircraft (e.g. an experiment using the Fokker D.VI)?

Nice beginning tutorial Req. Much appreciated. Is there any chance of follow on videos demonstrating the flight envelope and limits of the planes? Especially for "crank" planes like the Camel.

The fuel tank air pressure is probably only useful to see if there is any engine damage?

I think it should indicate a fuel leak

As i understand , Pfalz diiia is a good introduction for beginners who later want to master Bf 109 ? AM I right ? albatros dva hasnt offer anything in that matter, my goal is to become competent 109 pilot and pfalz seems To be good for first steps. Thank You for your opinion and sorry for my English;)

Hey Req, hope your doing well,i wanted to ask a question about Flying Circus and get your opinion.
On the Fokker D7 because it has that Mercedes engine it has something in front that looks like a cap right in the center and i use that for my aiming sight,it works great but the 7F doesn't have that, how do you aim on that thing? thats something Ive always had a issue with and i was wondering what others did,i tried aiming on the left and right sight but doesn't work very well cause the bullet convergence point is right in the middle,if its something big like a balloon its no problem but something small like a howitzer then its a little more challenging, thank you for your input, just curious as to what you do.

I just align the tracers with the middle of my screen when zoomed all the way in. Then I'll zoom out to normal view
