    Excellent work, great to see the Southern Hemisphere targets getting some love. I've imaged RCW 58 and it came out nice (after lots of hours), will have to give the Loganberry/Raspberry a shot as well next time it comes around !

      Thanks very much. Glad to hear you have imaged RCW58 as there aren't that many images of it about. As for the "Loganberry nebula, ( I like what you did there😉), there are even less of that one so I look forward to seeing your image of it in the future. CS

    Great photos, its always nice to see Southern hemisphere targets and even better to hear a kiwi accent. Im down here in Dunedin and the weather has been absolute rubbish. Im just starting out on my astro journey so Im really blown away with what you have achieved. Subbed and will watch the rest of your videos too.

      Thanks Ross, great to see another kiwi exploring the night skies. Yep we have definitely suffered from some extreme crap weather here in NZ which is certainly making it tough for imaging etc. Here is hoping things turn around (although we have been hoping this for nearly 9 months now). CS

      Thanks Alfredo, I'm glad you will find this video useful. Yes, it can very difficult to find targets that haven't been imaged much before so I was hoping this might provide some different targets for people to have a crack at. Clear skies.

      @@LogansAstro Logan, can I ask an off topic question, I know you use an ioptron CEM120 and the CEM60, what version of ioptron commander do you use and do you use windows 11, as I am having issues with my CEM70, well more so the commander software version 9.06, I am getting sporadic disconnects or sometimes it wont even connect and just shows an error saying “no ioptron device found” when trying to connect, now this seems to be a common issue on the forums, and is down to windows 11 and commander not playing well together, any thoughts from your point of view…

    • @LogansAstro
      @LogansAstro  Рік тому +1

      Thanks Simon. I guess with all this crap and pretty extreme weather we have had down here, it's been a matter of grabbing what ever time appears to image (and hour here and there) in the night so there hadn't been anytime to setup the cameras etc to record so these images went straight to Astrobin. Definitely give the Cosmic bat a go - it's pretty cool looking. CS

    What a beautiful bubble nebula surrounding KR16. I had no idea of its existence. From my latitude it barely rises 21º in transit. I will wait until next year and try to photograph it with the L-eNhance. Thanks for sharing

    • @LogansAstro
      @LogansAstro  Рік тому +1

      Thanks very much. I spent a fair amount of time trying to read up on those WR stars and I'm still not entirely sure I understand it all. Ah the 65PHQ, a great choice. I haven't had the scope that long so haven't covered a lot of targets with it - just done Carina, Pencil Neb, dark nebula of the Chameleon complex and the Dragons of Ara. It suits the Dragons nicely and you can frame it to include PCG11(Jaws Nebula) and Henize 2-169 (as small as the are at this fov).

    • @LogansAstro

      Thanks Nik. I like what you did with the Tardigrade nebula name 😉. I imaged the Bat and Tardigrade from home which is about Bortle 5 to 6. If an object is close to the SCP then I now avoid it as that is right in the light dome of Auckland city. But if I'm not pointing in that direction, dark nebulae are do-able.
