House prices falls are gaining momentum.
The latest Corelogic data show that the drop in house prices in intensifying in Melbourne and Sydney; that prices are set to fall in Brisbane in the next month or two and prices in the boom cities of Perth and Adelaide are slowing.
Bottom line: Nationwide house prices are down in December.
Supply is lifting; demand is tapering as immigration falls.
Big question for 2025 is the extent of the house price falls - will it be a moderate 5% drop or something more worrying for households and banks - say 10%?
