Fire the solicitor general. She is undermining the government.
Just your small minded opinion

The Solicitor General is an educated person/woman. She would have known full well what she had written and perhaps was hoping there weren't too many 'eagle eyes' watching.

Gary Judd for the next solicitor general.
Yes please.

For goodness sake. We have one of our most senior civil servants, surreptitiously subverting our criminal justice system to the benefit of Maori. This is treason!

The tui add comes to mind
It's ridiculous to think that you could have separate sovereignty for Maori. Implementing a separate government for Maori by Maori would only result in the TPM elites exploiting Maori. Further more, the CCP and other malevolent actors would see this as an easy way to undermine our democracy AND the newly formed kingdom of the Tamahere's.
For sure, the Organ Harvesting Regime is responsible for this mischief making. Playing the long game.
Yes, Nazi Germany and Rwanda come to mind if one ethnic group are given special status over another, here in NZ,
The CCP? We are already owned by anglo/Jewish banker empire. We don't need to worry about Chinese when we have literal traitors running our govt already.
And what does Judith Collins think about the matter? We would like to know.
Remember what Judith had to say about the naval vessel sinking? Judith is useless
Judith is a closeted feminist and that over rides any rational thinking on the matter.
Actually I wish Judith Collins could be fired too. Her latest Bill is a diaster for this country.
Shes a psychopath.
That is a very good question. A youtube clip asked that 7months ago.

People keep calling Māori indigenous but they aren’t. Yes they were here before Whites but they came here from somewhere else. Indigenous means from the land they are not !
So explain indigenous??? Do humans grow from seeds in the ground??? If your take on indigenous is right then NO human population except African people are indigenous as the Human species started in Africa so they say. Maori were here for 500 years before Captain Cook arrived and there was another 100 years before the English started to bring large amounts of people to populate NZ. The Moriori were here but not Mainland NZ they inhabited the Chatham Islands 700km away from Mainland NZ.
I agree, aboriginal Australian people have been in Australia for 40000 years plus, they are truly indigenous
Indiginous: inhabiting or existing in a land from the earliest times or "from before the arrival of colonists".
@@brucegibbins3792 good to see you are using the new definition
@brucegibbins3792 You do realise Maori were colonisers as well? So that definition also applies to anyone Maori colonised when arriving to NZ.
When the indigenous people in New Zealand were in the stone during the 19th century, they couldn't independently invent the wheel. Nothing was taken, as nothing was here. Just given.
Lmao nothing was taken? The whole country was taken 😂
@mobbarley7517 Stone age maori had no concept of nationhood. They were too busy; slaughtering, enslaving, and eating the tribes around them. Maori were still in the Stone Age in the 18th century. Europe/Asia/Middle East had left the stone age many thousands of years earlier.
Did the great empire of Great Britain invent the wheel??? No they didn't, did they invent anything that has changed the world??? No they didn't, maybe ask the Romans and Normans that brought all that knowledge to England to take that back.
From the Moriori? And then by the New Zealand company (1825,37,41)
The treaty in 1840 protected Maori and gave freedom to Mokai?

The thing is various Govt Departments have set new woke policies in place to reduce the over representation of Maori in the criminal justice system and none of them have worked. So this was their way of trying to make the statistics fit with their desired outcome.
David Lange was a cut above the politicans, parliament entertains these days and he more than likely, had an inkling something like this could devide Kiwis, he would have been disappointed coming from a Labour party view, that by pulling the wool over the peoples eyes doing stealth backroom deals emplimenting Maoris into position of Authority over us, Lange would have most definitely nipped it in the bud. Spread this revelation to all you know because right now the common Kiwi in the street thinks Luxo is doing something about this. He isn't, he is in fact supporting the dictatorial takeover of New Zealand. This is abundantly clear now, and it needs to be understood by kiwis who care.
New Zealand really needs to have a frank open discussion on Maori self determination, separatism, a separate Maori state, co-govenrance, the extent of interpreted Treaty privilege now embedded in our legislation etc.

Maori radicals and National, don't want a discussion. Maori want the whole country back including rights to all property and natural resources. Jagose is odd in that she seems to have been exposed as promoting decolonisation, a la the Mat Rata / Moana Jackson line which you hear from Margaret Mutu and others, like most of the activist machinery of government like the Tribunal. What's more common is the unthinking liberal left in the public service, who do a few matauranga maori courses, and are mindlessly open to "nice", "modern", and "progressive" positions on indigenous rights. They express the wellspring of pakeha guilt and cultural self-loathing that aids and abets separatism, maybe votes Green or TPM, and thinks that decolonisation is only right and proper - over time, and as a matter of NZ identity. These people are the useful idiots of separatism. They have no idea how valuable and hard-fought democracy and the rule of law are, and therefore no conception of what it might mean to mess with them. Soft decolonisation is rife through Labour and until recently was the yardstick measure of appeasement in the Nats.
And there will be some morons who retort to the Lange position "but but two sovereignties uhh like the Navajo in the US!". This is stupid. The Navajo have a tightly circumscribed sovereignty and local authority. They have no statehood. And it doesn't work. That's why activists in this country simply want to set up the conditions of latent sovereign challenge, so at some mythical point in the future they can knock the old one over and replace it. We will hear a huge amount of blather on experimentation, modernisation, local models, te ao maori, tolerance and pluralism over the next 10 years, none of which will go anywhere, and then some genius will say that a clean break is needed.
Brilliantly summed up 👌

So going with Judd and what decolonisation means, to my understanding, would leave Moriori in control. The last full blooded Moriori died in 2021 or 22 so there has be people in this country that have Moriori blood right.?? Or do they not qualify because they didnt have a treaty with the colonizers?
Umm, did Moriori populate Mainland NZ??? Moriori settled Chatham Island and stayed there till the English arrived in the late 1700. So how do Moriori qualify when they didn't inhabit Mainland NZ???? By the way Moriori reached a settlement with the NZ government in 2021 as part of the Treaty of Waitangi claims for Moriori for the return of land and 18 million dollars and an agreed account of Moriori History. The claims was for the Chatham Islands.

Hi Sean. My thoughts on a democratically run society are that any public servant is just that, serves the public, as diverse as it is. Even more so our democratically elected politicians. We all have our own opinions and ideas, but when you are elected to be a democratic 'leader', your own ideas and opinions should not over rule democratically adopted laws. So I think the Solicitor-General was correct not to answer on a private opinion. If she is a trustworthy servant, her own views should not affect her job. We all should be able to express our views, but when we expect that the whole of society should accept them, then you think the rest of society are just “bottom Feeders” and yourself of more importance. Autocratic narcissism. I hope this opinion is free. Cheers Sean. Relax man!
This is nothing to do with China, thanks.

Hi Gary, have you read the treaty?
Given that he is a KC and has spent years serving ALL the people of NZ I’d say he can recite almost every word
King's council does not recognised the sovereignty of Maori? Has this guy ever read the Treaty of Waitangi?
Did you ever read about the musket wars and it being a good reason why that treaty was signed by the chiefs'? You appear to think all the tribes were good mates and all got along under a single banner/people. The English Empire ruled half the world at that time - hence it would never have given equal status to what it would have considered primitive tribes. Get a grip, it was to be ONE people. New age racists..

Fire her, she's undermining justice in NZ based on race. Take a step back and look at each case regarding justice, that everyone is equal under law and crime doesn't choose skin colour. Plus Maori chose not to colonise Moriori, but to virtually destroy them, so colonization argument is BS.

The words "unfortunately, like it or not..." applies here unfortunately whether people like it or not establishing the "elder sibling" in the parliamentary sovereignty versus Indigenous sovereignty debate is extremely clear like it or not. There can be no Judd KC dodging of basic facts. Te Kara the flag was commissioned into sovereignty to New Zealand well before new Zealand existed and ironically before the document He Whakaputanga. Sovereignty gifted to this soil by king William IV can never be extinguished and this in 2024 is still in commission. The elder sibling is and always has been the indigenous sovereignty not parliamentary sovereignty nor it's derivatives. Like it or not facts are facts and the fear mongering of Mr Judd when hands down tells all listeners that democracy and indigenous sovereignty can never coexist is quick to never mention as just one example the Sami people. I take some issue with his comments insinuating that the intention of any indegenous so reignty is to take all power and control everything... I don't want that??? What Mr Judd "fears" is the perceived loss of total control, that is the man you use as a yard stick. Who by chance inserted the term "decolonisation" into the mix? Did you Shaun? How did this take the giant leap to a complete takedown of democracy? Another fact is democracies are the most shaky and unstable form of governance in the world today, prove me wrong on that topic. I guess Mr Judd speaks on this platform because this is where the ears to hear the slightly pathetic bleatings he has to offer are best accepted? Possibly but possibly not. That is irrelevant, what unfortunately is relevant is like it or not Mr Judd is in no way about preserving democracy but rather is about retaining the controls already in place.
The Sovereignty assigned by King William in 1836 was not over the whole of the country but the North of the North Island as inhabited by the Confederation of Chiefs who signed the Declaration of Independence "He Whakaputanga'. The intention of this was to keep the French from establishing a Colony in the Hokianga. The signing of the Treaty superseded and nullified the signing of 'He Whakaputanga' and the phoney Sovereignty assigned by King William, who died before the Treaty was signed.
@standbytogo123 you have the date wrong for a start. What has 1836 got to do with anything. king William IV letter to the admiralty in 1835 specifically said new Zealand not a certain portion of it. Again 1836 as a date for the Kara is 100% incorrect. Te Kara was commissioned prior to the signing of he wakaputanga not after as you say. In reality the crown would never sign a contract with anyone who had no valid national flag. Te Kara came to the table as a marker of a sovereign nation in legal terms prior to both our supposed founding documents. Also I've found the location on UK national archives kew of the existence of 4 unsigned complete copies of the treaty of waitangi sent to the colonial office in 1840. Question then arises, why has there been a need to back translate a confusing eaten English translation from the complete Maori copies when Hobson/Busbys complete copies are right there, as is king William IV decree to the admiralty re: te Kara. These documents as important as they are are located in a huge file called miscellaneous correspondence. Lol the irony of where they were is funny. I have the direct links if anyone would like to see for themselves. This country is a lie and based on so many lies. A further irony is that up until 1840 it seems translations were needed. After 1840 it seemsl and transfer deeds and numerous other legal paperwork's were signed by everyone in English?? There seems to be no Maori English translations of important contracts after the completion of the drawn out signing. Suddenly the country was English literate. So how do you propose Maori effectively traded with many English speakers around the world at minimum 11 years prior to the "signing".
@standbytogo123 Aaaaand the still currently commissioned flag te Kara preceded the "phoney" sovereignty placed here by the treaty. There is no way you can ever argue against basic facts, the narrative you are repeating or cut and pasting I have read many times before from different sources and the facts do not align with anything you say. In fact when reading UK and Australian gazzttes the information so often directly contradicts the nz story. UK newspaper articles of the time contradict out story.
@@EruetiWirihana Documented verifiable evidential facts. The phoney sovereignty preceded the Treaty and was coincidental with the Declaration of Independence. Following the signing of the Treaty the flag was replaced by the Union flag.
@@standbytogo123 omg! There is some irony that you are the only replying to my comment. I totally understand how you and others have been led to a place where you defend the indefensible. The reality is UK interests did here exactly what they did all over the world.
They saw/see other people's things and they want them so they just roll on in and take it all BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. . The capitol letters above indicate the colonial offices motto lol. As a comparison how long have you been researching this topic? Personally I am entering my 16th year. So the actual phones you need to start looking at are Edward gibbon Wakefield and the new Zealand colonisation company, later becoming the wellington company!?!!? The founders of this nonsense that criminally flew a flag that if done son in England would see him hanged. He did all this when the monarch and the court system in which he faced criminal charges denied his request to form a stand alone sovereignty in new Zealand not under control of the crown nor the monarchy. The people you defend today were the worst of corporate criminals of the time. Hos charges related to pre selling land in NZ to investors when he held no land titles. So he came here, flew a fake te Kara because he knew the sovereignty of te Kara. Then he arrived here under a phoney flag and proceed to aquire in a panic the land he did not own but had received money for. He was a crook and by default this country is supposedly founded on the back of liars. Including the Jewish interest here very early that had the same idea as wakefeild so Mr Vogel of Jewish origin who later became without merit a pm of nz clashed with wakefeild and the new Zealand company. Which if you know your stuff the new Zealand company is the NZ government.
