I find it so cool how gorillas have such similar mannerisms in relation to humans, the way their eyes travel etc.
At one point, as he’s chewing, his chest moves as if he had let out a little sigh, makes you wonder what’s he thinking. I know gorillas tend to be bothered by eye contact, maybe he’s annoyed that someone is filming him eat.

Same goes for bears honestly, big burly grizzlies eat way more grass and berries than most people think. And that's not even getting into vegan powerhouses like elephants and rhinos!

Gorillas are hard workers! Gathering food for hours, building nests, and protecting their territory.
When it's supper time, they sure do enjoy their food! Satisfying to watch because they seem happy when eating; no work for now, time to eat!

They supplement with insects and small animals in the wild like chimpanzees when they get the chance, one gorilla even was seen raiding a nest to eat a bird egg they found. Also, like orangutans they REALLY, I repeat really are curious in captivity and when they get to learn something new they will remember how.

So interesting how he identified the part that he seemed to not really like on the head of lettuce and just casually tossed it aside, god they’re so smart.
I like the moment of confusion on its face when it realizes the outside of the pepper is waxy and it’ll need to bite harder to actually eat it.

He's living it large. Are these salads like a treat? Because they wouldn't normally eat peppers and lettuce, but more like banana leaves, shoots, long grasses, and stems.
