I have to admit that it looks promising so far. Graphics and especially the story, I hope that there will be a more sophisticated crafting system and especially the collection of artifacts. I like the much darker atmosphere than it was in the previous games.

The game looks incredible...but I don't like the getting rid of the heavy Ukrainian/Russian accents.
That was a huge part of the original game's feel.
I'm pretty sure it's just a dub for the trailer and you can choose the Ukrainian voice in game

i really hope seomeone out there is going to make a mod soon after realease to make the experience much harder than what most AAA games would be. Having a similar gameplay as Stalker Gamma with very in depth weapon and armor parts condition system, medical system and so on... it would be amazing !

I don't think "harder" is the right term here, but more like "more survival oriented". Gamma is definetly more survival oriented, whereas the slight arcadiness of the normal titles makes them more story oriented. But as soon as you make it past the survival part of Gamma the game becomes very easy, so that's why not hard.

@@JJokerMoreau I think its amazing a dev isnt ruining a rich IP to completely overhaul a classic series look. Do you know how many die hard halo fans who grew up playing them every night, dropped halo for a decade because they redesigned the elites.
I do semi agree, just find a different IP. Nether's apoc world was like what you wanted, but that game is dead now.

And its about keeping the style of the last game, its not trying to be new. Its stalker, its a mainstay.
The monster designs look horrible for 2024.. It looks like this game was developed by two different studios.

yeah it looks too much like a linear story game. really dont like the cutscenes. looks like they spent way too much time on the graphics. i dont want a game that i only get 20 to 30 hours of playtime out of.

Im not likeing how forgiving this looks. I started this game with anomaly, Pripyat for those who dont know, and I love it because of the grim experience of being a nobody in a world of nobodies. This seems more like some kind of fate fulfilled shooter. Although Im not expecting a full remake of the old games, I still want that atmosphere of doom and gloom to stay

If its not good at least we can hope for a stalker gamma 2.0 from this game. Or a way to mod it so we can play all the OG main story line in it

I would prefer a mix of russian and ukranian voices for most characters, some loners, freedom and mercs speaking english or even german won't be bad though, including monolith guys citing their prayers in various lenguages.

when a friend showed it to me and I didn't read the title, at first glance I thought it was some kind of mod for an old stalker, the graphics seem much weaker than those in the first materials, but it's a demo, I'm sure the final effect will be better.

I really hope they don't make this like metro. Stalker games have freedom and sandbox like gameplay with very good missions. The 25 minute long cut scenes in metro was so aggrivating. Listening to that awful voice actor the main captain guy (father of anna).. I just hope they don't screw this game up or the wait is obviously not worth it. Despite war going on in ukraine I understand it is difficult to maintain the game and development but its already looking like a metro expirence. I just hope i dont have to get constant headaches staring into dark tunnels with awful gamma settings.. please developers, take our opinions and if you need to delay the game to change it.. do it. Don't flop on this game.. way to many fans have dreamed of playing a new stalker expirence, stalker gamma and anomaly was absolutely incredible. The mod teams deserve to help this game.. the smoking animations and drinking and addictive affects all that stuff is so cool for immersion. Anyways, all I gotta say. We want gameplay to be fun and have endless different ways to play the game. Contracts, hits, mutant clearing, trading, hundreds and hundreds of items and uses and detailed effects, ect. We don't want to watch a force movie playthrough, we want FREEDOM and factions to play as with the insanely smart ai from anomaly. Please thumbs up so they can see. Also... hope they fix the weapon audio because it sounds awful like an arcade game or something. We need that Ddof.

Even in eng dub you can still hear russian chatters near campfires in the old games, and considering how various ppl around the globe came to the zone (specifically mercs) i dont think it'd be that strange for ppl to speak english in stalker, esp since the protag in the new game might be a foreigner.
And plus, in the video there are still stalkers speaking russian, it isn't completely gone. But i kinda agree i guess, the rus/ukr dub and the bad eng dub has their own charm in the old games.

The first Stalker was pretty linear too, but I agree that's why I preferred Call of Pripyat

If Stalker 2 ends up being like this, it won‘t be the game of the year, but the game of the decade.
Everything showed by now, feels brutally authentic, right and it mirrors us human beings, trapped in a situation like this.

They had time to port the collection to consoles yet this game constantly delayed or was this outsourced?
I like that it seems like people from all over the world are entering The Zone now, but man I really hope it's still mostly Slavic populated, that's at least half of the atmosphere. I've been watching the series from afar with jealousy for over a decade now, and now with the console release can say I'm a fan, easily my favorite series, only competing with Outward for that very top spot, but honestly, I think Stalker has taken it.

The country they were based on is being bombed to dust as i type this. Major developers, programmers, and all kinds of important people were drafted into war and killed. That may have done the project a little more difficult, don't you think so? Give them a break.

Due to the small budget of the first part, many of the dialogues were voiced by the developers, so it sounded natural. Now all dialogues are voiced by professional actors.
In general, the new game is more intended for the Western market than for the countries of the former USSR. Therefore, the English version of the game is considered the main one, and the Russian voice acting has been completely removed from the game.
Can you remove Crosshairs? And also reduce the size of all that mess on the screen? The good thing about the first games were that, You had your gun, and you had the world on your screen. Not much else. The only thing that took up your screen otherwise, were rain effects and blood effects. I really how there is so much shit on the let side of the screen.

Just want it to be as good as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl with 2023 polish and no 2023 socio-politics thrown in. The problems are apparent such as reducing game actions/controls to be controller friendly, but great game design/story can make up for it. Wishing #2 the best but not expecting much because most media has regressed since 2007

Sucks to be you, I guess, because a STALKER 2 pre-war is a completely different game than STALKER 2 post-war (ignoring that this is their second or third attempt at a STALKER 2)
@@BottomOfTheDumpsterFire by pre-war you mean S2:2011? If so, i kinda agree, Stalker, addons, even Java game, and leaked Stalker 2 2011 had some kind of unique style in graphics, perhaps in design, i honestly could see it through concept arts and leaked development clips.
This one however... it may look awesome in terms of graphics for some people, and its definately a step forward, but i don't really care about graphics that much when i don't feel the style and atmosphere just by looking at it. Look at the Metro series; it instantly inject the vibe into my blood just by looking at any mutant or model from any of the games, despite the graphic evolution they has the style. Even Fallout 4 and 76 despit being a souless shooters in fallout setting has something unique (and im not talking about dull awful weapon design).
