No doubt. It be incumbent upon us viewers to stage an intervention. Brad's too young to throw his poker career away on account of his anger issues. Speaking of accounting, he could go back to that. Or, follow me here, he seems to have some talent as an artist also.
Brad what a class act by giving chips back to those players!! I'm from South Dakota and your advice has helped me a lot in small cash games. I appreciate the videos and the genuine content of what it's like to play Poker for a living!!
Pretty sure the old guy thought Brad said “taking” instead of tanking and had no idea what Brad was asking him. Hence the weird response but yeah definitely did not have 77.
4:54 dude was absolutely lying. No way he tanks with 7's. He didn't even tell the obvious lie " I thought you hit 4 3's on the turn and I was considering a hero fold ". He didn't have any story and that tells everyone he's a liar. You run into a lot of them in Casino cash games.

In the aces exposed hand, yes he said "check it down" which is cool of him, and I believe he was going to say "Or you can bet the turn.." and even if he had said "I will fold" once his 10 hits...what can he do? He was classy enough not raising just calling you and it is true, had you not exposed the aces he would have made much more off of you When you saw dude's red face card in set of 4s....love that you are as honest and ethical as me and that not saying something bothered you so much. You did absolutely nothing wrong wanting to evaluate his chip stack, and the way he exposed shows he is not very experienced. I really appreciated you gave him back the river bet. Straight up class. I always tell people if I can see their cards because even though I am breaking no rule looking when they lift them too high, I want to win by ethical means, not taking advantage of a newbie or old person who accidentally keeps exposing the cards when they look at them.

Brad you’re amazing. Keep up the good work. A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope you and your girlfriend have a great year ahead and say hi to Marvin for me.
That AA Hand was the most awkward shit I've ever seen. The dealer was in the wrong also because he shouldn't deal anything until you've both checked during that street
I think he had worse than QQ or KK, he definitely did not have a boated 77. I think he put you on AK and was really embarrassed about calling with 88s or something like that.
Damn dude you didn't have to go off the handle at the very end. It wasn't his fault the cards fell that way. You need some anger management classes for real 😂
That JJ hand you may very well have had the best hand the whole way. People do often lie about their holdings when you ask questions like "Did I need that J?". If he's not willing to show you his hand, then there's no reason to believe him. Also, I *guarantee* you that if he had had 77 he would have flipped over his hand nearly the same time you did thinking he was good.
Quick question brad, if you wanted to start learning how to play poker seriously, what beginner book would you recommend and what’s a more complicated/more in depth book to read? Also loved the video and good luck.
Best book for dead beginners is Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book". It explains a lot of key concepts in super simple language, and is very easy to understand. There's a lot of places you could go from there, but that is hands down the best place to start.
Brad was wrong on the AA vs 10 10 hand. It sounded like it was clear that I was a checkdown... The guy wasn't saying "bet the turn and I'll fold and you can have it" he called the flop... Who in the World would EVER EVER think "bet the turn and I'll fold" After Brad was the one who messed up.
Here’s my thing.. on the AA hand. If that guy doesn’t hit the miracle 10 brad still bets the $15 and most likely throws the guy the $50 back or doesn’t throw it back and misses out on a ton of value actually helping the guy out. I mean the guy with TT can’t be to upset about that hand. He got extremely lucky and most likely would’ve been thankful Brad turned his cards over if that 10 didn’t come on the turn. Just seems greedy to me when Brad wasn’t being greedy whatsoever.
You missed the hand that you thought you lost but a tablemate realized you had a flush....If I remember correctly it was a double bomb pot. Spades maybe?
How bout the guy who tanks for minutes with pretend pocket Aces in a timed game then calls clock on a hand you're in after barely a minute of tanking. I still can't believe you left. I would've stayed and auto folded calling clock on him every time he was in a hand.
@BradOwen He never said he would fold to a turn bet, he just said you could bet the turn. Did he act after your turn bet before the dealer put the river out? It doesnt look like it and im guessing he just paid the 15. He easily could have called the floor over and had the river taken back if he had not acted on the turn action yet, so I dont think he was angling here
13:17 I disagree with the morality of this decision. Poker is a game about exploiting your opponents. You aren't there to make friends. That is not to say there's anything wrong with some gentlemanly rules to avoid confrontation, and there is nothing wrong with actually making friends with other players who are chill. However, at the end of the day, you are there to make money. If you do nothing wrong, and your opponent flashes you his cards, that is 100% your opponents' fault. Exploit that mistake like you would any other. Later on, if you wanted to pull that guy aside and politely tell him what happened and to be careful about it in the future, I think that is a reasonable and kind thing to do, but you should not give the money back. You have no obligation to.
The guy on the first hand was lying his ass off. Like it wouldn't have been a snap call on an all in when he's claiming to have had top house at the time of your bet.
