it just so happened it was the first one I played in the set, actually it inspired the medley. Someone had requested it and then from there I just kept playing more forest themes!

I played this game when I was a teenager, recovering from grief after my father died. This song (phantom forest) is bittersweet for me; it reminds me of a beautiful game, and it's just so pretty. However, like in the game, it brings back sad and lonely memories too. Well played as always, Kara.
I never even thought of how much forests and their scores are a staple in great video games, but I'm glad it's you doing the compilation; there's kind a fantasy element to your presence, like you stepped out of a fairy tail, and forests are where all the magic happens so it seems very appropriate.
I do love a good forest bop. I find when I sit down to the piano and just start instinctively picking out chords and melodies to write something, as often as not it ends up being 'forest music'
Opening with FFVI and Terra cosplay, this had me right from the start but it's easy to stay with. I also greatly appreciate that you included a track from A Link to the Past, what a great game that was.
Even though so many of these tunes I have been familiar with since my childhood and teen years, hearing them played like this feels like I've been drawn into a mystery land, deep in a fantasy as real as our reality but far and spirited away. Myth and wonder collide like the first time a human foot steps upon the rainbow - awe that such a rainbow has not faded the closer you get and shock that it's even possible. That is what listening to your piano covers sound like. It's all the same music...but it feels like it's as familiar as it is mysterious! BEAUTIFUL playing, Kara. May God Almighty bless you for making the most of your gifting. Thank you for the joy you've given through your playing. Absolutely amazing! 👏 What a perfect idea for a medley. The first time I noticed a forest theme was as a kid playing Links Awakening. Forest themes seem to always be somewhat completely different from the rest of the score and really stand apart. Chrono is fantastic but I don't think Secrete of Mana often gets the love it deserves. Bravo!

Huh, funnily enough I just fought the Phantom Train in FF14 for the first time last night so hearing this start off with the Phantom Forest was surreal. Anyway, another beautiful job.
People talk about suplexing the train, but I could never get his moves to work! I don't know why....im actually really good at fighting games, i should revisit this game! Especially with this in the background ❤
