The closed captionings are almost hysterical. When Rod and Betty exchanged their vows, the captioning read: Minister: "Repeat after me. I Rodney take me bidding Iraqi baby to be my wedded wife." That's just one example but a funny one. I use the CC because sometimes the sound is just not good enough to hear. But sometimes the captioning is so crazy, I still don't know what was said.
I've never seen a bride wearing pigtails at her wedding-- especially a glamour girl like Betty. I know she wants the opposite wedding to hers and Steven but wait till she sees her wedding pictures, haha! I just love this show...
It is wonderful that the producers arranged to bring Hannah Cord and Julie Anderson back for these recent episodes. Stephen needs to accept the past, and he needs to understand that Hannah, despite her keeping his birth a secret, is his mother regardless of who gave birth to him. It was heartwarming to see Julie and Betty have that heart to heart talk and to see that Betty was able to tell her mother that she truly loves Rod. I believe that Betty really learned to love Stephen even though she didn't love him when she married him, but her heart always was attached to Rod.
@@richardranke3158 I know! Do you think the writers will ever come back to this storyline to give us closure? There are so many scenarios that could have happened ~ difficult to guess. I'm thinking, as Ann was toying with the edge of the cliff, Hanna startled her, and Ann accidentally fell.
Ryan O'Neal is so handsome, he sure made some great classics, real treasures in the cinematography, but man of his looks and talent would make even more if brain, wisdom and morals were included
democolor42 His looks were a bit overrated. Handsome and drop-dead hot was the late John Gavin. I only ever saw one other man in that league who was not a public figure, and O'Neal comes up far short.
+SoapsNthings A beauty salon on the square where some of these concoctions come to fruition would have been so cool. Betty's elaborate hairdos of yore, Ada's shellac bouffant & you know Susan can't do some of her stuff hungover. Plus the girls could rip the guys apart.
What's up with Rod's hands when he kisses her at the end? The first time I saw him do this with Betty I thought it was garage grease, but obviously not now. Weird.
Oh yes Barbara Rush if you look for her going back in time and interesting film is the bramble bush with Angie Dickinson Richard Burton Barbara Rush and others I think that is about 1957 or eight if I’m not mistaken it’s an interesting story very dramatic melodramatic a kind of a prelude to the depth of what the nighttime episodic story would become even in the sense of the kind of movies Lana Turner did that were highly melodramatic in the 50s and early 60s
If it's a Catholic church she'll need another annulment if she ever wants to marry again. The Bible says that you can't remarry after divorce, "It has been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication [wife not a virgin upon consummation of marriage], causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery (Matthew 5:31-32, KJV)."
this may have been a one-shot deal..but it was good to see (a part of) the old, familiar guard - as opposed to these newbies who offer absolutely no incentive to continue watching, but i will to the end......
Ugh! Is Carolyn & her mother the new Constance & Allison? While Barbara Rush is elegant they don’t come anywhere close to the McKenzies! It’s very odd that they minimized Dorothy Malone’s screen time after MIA Farrow left & later created this troubled mother & daughter duo. Were these actors less expensive to use like a new & improved replacement idea? The budget actors & storylines are so obvious & the has declined by now. Although there are some accomplished actors here & to come.
Ruth Warrick who plays Hannah, Steven's mother, is such a great actress. Later on, she played a central role on ABC's All My Children, afternoon soap.
Lonna Newman yes as phoebe Tyler
Well later she became Phoebe Tyler Wallingford. She was fantastic.

IT SHOULD NOT SAY UNTIL DEATH DO US PART. THAT IS SO FINAL. I THINK IT SHOULD SAY AS LONG AS WE BOTH SHALL LIVE AND MAYBE SAY INTO ETERNITY.
@@oregongirl1064 I don't think any church has ever maintained that marriage continues after death, even if it sometimes feels like it.
