Any chance of seeing a side by side comparison of the Havoc an the General Deluxe? I know the pricing is a little different, but these 2 seem the most comparable. Or maybe a 3 way shootout with the new Wolverine included! I'm actually curious about the suspensions and how they compare to each other more than anything. Good video guys!
should do a side by side comparison of all sport utility side by sides, witch have the best features, ride, performance, etc. do it like the snowtrax real world sled of the year comparison. just a thought.
I have been following the Havoc X since its first rumors. Finally went and test drove one and couldn't get past the seating arrangement. I was so disappointed. There is no leg room and the seats felt bad compared to the Wolverine X2 or Polaris General. Thanks for the great review, I hope Textron is listening!!! Change the interior and these would fly off the dealer lots Id think.
I totally agree. Maybe someone like PRP will come up with seats and an offset bar behind the seat to fix the weirdness. (Like someone should have to put another 2k into a new machine...)
i am 2018 havoc x owner since march 2018 would of liked you to make a mention of the transmission in review , lots of owners are having grinding issues, recall on clutch does not totaly fix it helps when belt is broken in but still reminds me of cheap riding mower shifter.i am in limbo waiting for dealer to repair mine my purchasing dealer just went out of bussiness ,other dealers too busy to want to epair my p0101 code i had for over 2 months, articat customer care is useless in my opinion, beware.
I have the 2018 and like it so far. I have the enclosed cab and the only thing I hate are the doors. The window is so damned small you can't stick your head out to see where your tires are on technical terrain. I also wish the battery were more accessible, but not that big a negative overall. I haven't needed parts so not sure about the claim of difficulty to get.
Good review Luke as always..The east coast here is begging for you and the rest of DT thoughts on a reliability foercast on this unit ...And foremost is the engine an artic cat build or total Textron ...The eastern Canada riders are not fussy on the artic cat atv or sxs reliability record
Not refined enough yet. No local dealers except Bass Pro Shop. I'm not shopping for lures and SxS's at the same place. Keep going, Textron, you're getting closer!
With the Majority of the Sport model UTV is the clutch system. That is the weak point of all that are belt driven. I like Yamaha YXZ but when I tested it it was clunky, the shifting SucKed.. Again the the Textron looks stronger but a belt driven clutch? That is a problem, I have a XP and I hate the Clutch system. I am sure there is an engineer out there that can come up with a auto drive that is not prone to failure.
William Stewart no because Jeeps can go for hundreds of thousands of miles versus a side-by-side where all the bearings and joints are shot at 5000. No argument here side by sides are nothing but poorly built lifted golf carts. For an exception of yamaha and Honda they're the only ones that have machines that last nowadays.
Fortteen These machines can't be built to last, look at the environment they live in. You realize how much money it would cost to make a jeep be able to jump like a side by side right, you can jump a house. I like Honda and Yamaha, but the reason their engines last so long (more of a Honda thing) is because they aren't built to the ragged edge. They're always the slowest of any group, engines are lazy, non aggressive tuning etc etc. They're work machines, not toys. Long story short, you can't compare an old jeep to a new side by side, they're way too far apart.
Side by sides are not built to jump they are for people who want to sit on their ass and do nothing all day. That's why they're also known as the rubber band Drive sit and steer they break and they break and wear out too fast and The Hondas perform great it's hard to make something with a lot of power reliable. That's why Honda is taking so long to come out with the sport Talon 1000.
Fortteen The Honda is a work only machine. I'm talking about legitimate sport side by side like the X3 turbo, RZR turbo, Yamaha YXZ Turbo etc. They have enough suspension to easily do 60 foot doubles and such and have 200+ horsepower. Even this work/play model like the havoc can easily jump all day long, those king shocks are fantastic. I just bought my wife a 2018 Jeep, I know what they're capable of. Needless to say a jeep nevermind and old clapper cannot do what these machines can.
Yes me all 15 people I know with new Textron and arctic cat machines. Textron isn't worried about customer service with these brands when they are too busy with military contracts
Killer looking SXS. Love the stance. The extended cab idea is great. Would be a selling point for me.....

I’m a powersports tech and been waiting for this to come out. I put one together and thinking about getting one

Yeah I saw that. Too bad I already picked up a 2019 Maverick Sport 1000R... And I love it!
That thing looks badass! Hopefully you guys put it through a shootout with the general
I want those king shocks on the polaris general.
This really show that textron know what they are doing

Never came to eu and kinda never got to production or very short time

Does it come with a on demand front locking diffirential.? If so it would have to be something to check out
mark Minyard yes it does. They never mention the detailed unique pieces of the puzzle
Those kings look great
Where is the solenoid switch located on these? On the starter or up by the battery?
Super Fun Machine.
I don’t think the wheels stick out more than most Polaris rzr’s and some others
The idle sounds like an older rzr 800 or any twin cylinder prior to the prostar engines
Every side xside should have the extra storage space behind the seats great idea

Good looking side by side but what the price on it
Wheres the xx tho?

Can't wait till Textron puts that motor into an updated sport chassis.
I would love to see that motor in a Wildcat Sport!
Nailed it.. that's a nice machine
Wow Good review guys
Who sells them? I have never seen a dealership in my area. Greenville sc.
I would like to get the Mule.

Is that a Yamaha engine?
suzuki
Not a Yamaha and definitely NOT a Suzuki.... Weber...
I'm 5'8" and wanted to push my seat back further than I could...
I like the way it looks🇺🇸
One thing that Kills me is that 5 dollar princess auto brake light. Like put them in the bed like everyone else.
Those headlights tho
Think I like the Textron stampede better
Parts hard to find on these😣
Stay away from one then? Just found a great deal on one here local I was gonna buy for a hunting buggy.
I Sat in one and im not a big or tall guy and the seats are Junk and weird. And i was close to the steering wheel.
Text Ron electric
I bought an XJ for $1,500 no thanks.
Fortteen How is that relevant? Are you trying to compare a clapped out old jeep to a brand new side by side or am I assuming?

1st like can commant I like plaris
Lightout YT polairs*
Lmao the competition doesn't stand a chance my ass these things are over price pieces of crap and Textron refuses to stand by the warranty they offer
Did you have a warranty issue with yours?
Yes me all 15 people I know with new Textron and arctic cat machines. Textron isn't worried about customer service with these brands when they are too busy with military contracts
I thought it was a heavily modified Polaris. They really should change up the way it looks.
just looks like a bootleg Polaris... pass
