Here’s the list. Which one do you want to work on next?
1. When you set your alarm before bed, put it on the other side of the bedroom.
2. Add one personal item to your work to-do list each day.
3. Keep a “Praise” folder in your email inbox.
4. Carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go.
5. Don’t go to sleep angry at the people you care about.
6. Invest in quality, non-processed, organic food.
7. Limit the junk food you bring into your house.
8. Leave your phone on silent and upside down at all times.
9. Write out a physical to-do list before you go to bed.
10. Take at least ten minutes each day to be still.
Omg the best one is #3... amazing. Collect your praise. It’s like filling your bucket. What an amazing practice.

I have something that might help, there is an app called alarmy that gives you tasks you have to do to dismiss the alarm like math problems and shaking your phone, you can look for it on app store and try see if it helps
Oh that’s cool I’ll look it up.
Hope you find it useful..
@@mangos0uplov3r for me, a really, really good trick was to leave a glass of water by my alarm clock. I putt the alarm clock on the other side of the room, so I have to get up. As soon as I have turned the alarm off, I drink the water.
Instant groggy feeling is gone and it is so much easier, to not just get back into bed.
It worked for me anyway.

This might sound completely unrealistic, but something that has made a huge change in my life has been not using an alarm. I try to give my body the full rest it needs every night and it shows in my motivation and productivity the next day. This is probably more geared towards contractors or entrepreneurs, but holy cow it works.
@ARTHUR DO TELETRANSPORTE I set a drop-dead alarm as a safety net, but by shifting when I go to bed and working on sleep quality, it’s very rare that I hear that alarm.
@ARTHUR DO TELETRANSPORTE That's why he added "...geared towards entrepreneurs..."
Agreed! If you have the flexibility to do that it really helps with mood, productivity, motivation and of course tiredness
I never set an alarm but I also wake up at 4:30am no matter when I go to bed 😖
If I manage to go to bed at a said hour I can do this and it is amazing! But is not very easy to do if your not consistent with bedtime
How to wake up in the morning: have kids.
How to go to bed angry: have kids
Or a cat
How to wake up at night.
But what to do if I'm a kid
I guess I’m not committed enough to waking up early then yet

Cool project bro! ❤️
Nice! Always wanted to learn it, this might be my new habit lol
Thanks guys!! :D
You're so passionate about this!
On the water thing:
Don't know where this came from, but you _do not_ need 8 cups of water a day, individual needs vary widely.
Drinking too much water can strip micronutrients and electrolytes from your system and leave you worse off.
Drink when you're *_thirsty_* (by all means have water readily available when you are, which is Matt's point), and be sure to have plenty of sodium, potassium, chloride, and bicarbonate as these will help you from becoming dehydrated.
Just drink one liter to 1,5l per day depending on your job. Some manual workers definitely need more. The rest of the needed water you will literally eat it and get it from food
I swear to god my girlfriend drinks up to 3.5 litres of water everyday, while I'm at 1.5 or something.
Edit: we are both similar weight and not overweight just saying
@@A-Wa That's only if you eat healthy...

So true as well! Matt, you’re always a great place to start (and stay) when looking at implementing incremental changes and habits.
You explain it so well and visually.... beautiful
When it comes to "Don’t go to sleep angry at the people you care about", I think it depends. If you get frustrated or upset with your partner late at night, sometimes it could be better to get some rest and re-evaluate your feelings in the morning. Bringing it up when both of you are tired is much more likely to lead to an argument. If you give yourself some time to rest and calm down, it's often easier to have a calm and productive talk about it.
That one is really tough! I find myself going back and forth on that one.
I agree.. if you’re both hot headed and speaking immaturely sometimes it’s a result from being too tired especially when you have kids! Sometimes it’s better to say ok you know what let’s just talk in the morning.. I still love you but I can’t empathize with you right now nor articulate my thoughts clearly
@@Sona.LS. yeah, I think you said something really important, and it’s taking ownership of processing empathy and emotions in the moment. BUT, the big piece is actually discussing it in the morning and dealing with it.

I appreciate the genuine recommendation for quality food. Investing in drinking clean, mineral water and eating organic pasture raised/grass fed/wildcaught foods has made a real difference in my health. It’s twice as expensive, but I know the animals were raised humanely on a farm eating quality foods and frolicking in the sunshine AND it tastes so much better and I feel so much better. My thyroid is very sensitive to halogens in the water supply, and I was able to heal hypothyroidism with quality water and seafood/fish after being a vegetarian for 10 years. When you can afford the quality option, slowly start integrating those options into your budget and diet wherever possible. An investment in local farmers and your health is nearly priceless.

For me personally, not bringing alcohol and sweets into my home, is one of the best things I pay attention to lately.
Also, getting over perfectionism is really important too. I am putting out my creative projects more and more easily. If nobody sees it, then I haven't lost anything, but if only a few people enjoy it, I am happy!
