The 2022 Lupin Haul ended up making it's way into 2023, but that only gives me the chance to say Happy New Year to everyone! I hope this slightly faster more jam packed haul was to your liking ^^

I'm hoping we can also own the ONA's physical, I will watch them online sure (already doing that with Lupin Zero) but I love having Lupin on hand to watch as well : )
Stolen Lupin is now coming out from Discotek in March and Angel Tactics has also been announced as coming out in 2023 :)

The video I had been waiting for, a fantastic collection, mine is steadily growing at the moment, been picking up a Discotek release each month so I have something Lupin to watch monthly.
You will be glad to know there is a second manga volume releasing next year which I can't wait for.
Have you seen Lupin Zero yet? I'm only at episode 3 at the time of writing but it is fantastic so far in my opinion. I'm looking forward to Lupin the Third vs. Cat's Eye in January on Amazon Prime as well, yet to watch Cat's Eye but was planning on picking up the Discotek releases even before the announcement of this crossover.
Been slowly watching Part 3 for the first time on HIDIVE as well and I am adoring the style to this series.

Part 3 is so cartoony fun, and I know some people skip it, but it really is well done, I love the gags in it myself XD

Outstanding Lupin the 3rd Collection!
This year I’m planing to get the Movies and TV Specials on Blu-Ray before I get the TV Series on Blu-Ray. After I get all the Seasons of Pokémon that 4Kids Dubbed on DVD cause I grew up with that dub and complete my Ocean Dub of Dragon Ball Z on DVD

I have both of the Lupin Heist manga and 50 years book in my Amazon basket so hopefully I'll go that final step sometime soon. The book looks really nice.
I somewhat regretfully let my Haul sets go once Dead or Alive got announced. I knew then that both remaining films would be finally coming to Blu Ray and decided to sell to reinvest in the collection. My sets while decent weren't as nice condition as yours. Also Lupin III has a shelf all to its own now for me lol, so any space saved is vital to fit in those titles we all hope are to come.
Not made my way through the Part I BD set just yet but will hopefully do that this year. I love the Blu Ray TV series sets that Discotek have done with the Jacket colored spines, they look so cool together when I see them in other people's collection. Unfortunately I'm I sort my Lupin collection by release date.
Part II I currently still only have collection I on DVD, I'm really holding out for the Blu Ray as this point which like you I expect to come eventually. I do feel like I'm playing with fire alittle but while on DVD still I don't expect this particular set of releases to go OOP anytime soon. Be it SD-BD or even an actual true restoration of somesort I would really like to have that next to the others. Though I really want to watch the show sooner rather than later as I loved what I've seen so far.
I actually caved and got the Discotek Fujiko Mine release a few weeks back despite have the old Funimation LE release. It'll save space and have that Discotek seal of quality on it so it seemed worth it. I just hope that it contains the old funimation trailer as that is what got me to buy the release and ultimately what got me into Lupin III. I'm sure I would've got there eventually but yeah this series is where it all started for me.
I really enjoyed both the Conan crossovers, the astrores upscale for the original special looks really great.
Honestly as someone who does have the 4K version of Cagliostro unfortunately I was disappointed slightly by it as the film has had the film grain removed so it looks too smooth. But I don't have a 4K display yet so I can't fully judge how it looks overall.
Opening set piece for Gold of Babylon is so bonkers and truly fantastic, then for me it is mostly downhill from there sadly.
We must be inching closer to the Fuma Conspiracy on Blu Ray, definitely one of the most fun entries in the whole franchise for me too.
Loved returning to Farewell to Nostradamus just recently, a really great film. I watched the dub and totally forgot about the translation they used for what the girl calls Lupin, honestly would've preferred they just said pervert. I'll probably just stick with the sub in future.
As you know I also adore Dead or Alive, my favourite Lupin entry overall.
Lupin the First is great and I also really think they nailed the CG. I enjoyed it but damn the plot (or where it goes) is crazy for a film I assume they wanted to push worldwide, would've loved to have been a fly on the wall in the meeting where that got approved lol.
I really like the Hemingway Papers, my favourite of the first 4 specials that Discotek put out. The 3 of which are still DVD only here do have HD versions available so hopefully they can come over soon. Would love a dub for Hemingway Papers.
Great to see you have all the Specials on Blu Ray now, very much worth the upgrades. Without hesitation my favourite thing I've collected in Anime, each time I got one in even when I had seen them before it was just such a treat.
I think they used Astrores on the First Contact, happy they went back to dub that special. Would love them to do the same with Green vs Red as well as I to really enjoyed that special. I think it would be insanely awesome if they could get both Sonny Strait and Tony Oliver to work on that.
I felt like Prison of the Past was probably my favourite of the modern specials, just a really tight knit plot that never slows down and has a great ending.
Loved the Lupin Extravanganza Val haha, hopefully 2023 is a great year for Lupin and I look forward to what Discotek have in store in the future. Also hopefully Zero and VS Cats Eye don't go unlincesed for too long.

Good question, I love part 1 it has that classic anime charm but it also has it's problems, for the more modern Lupin I actually love what they did with part 4, because it gets so trippy in a lot of parts, while still being heisty fun.
Fav Movies are Dead or Alive, Cagliosto, and Nostradamus (even though it can get slow in a couple of parts the rest makes up for it, trust me!) Thanks Ronin!

I only have Castle of Cagliostro and Dead or Alive. Definitely need to get more Lupin this year. I have the Greatest Heists Manga, too! We're getting another book from Seven Seas in May, I think.

Very impressive! Would you say there's anything you prefer on DVD over Blu Ray in terms of sound/resolution? Or is it all just better overall?

Thanks! It's not so special in my collection, all the dvds are on a shelf together, and the blurays are together on their own shelf. This is actually the first time I put everything together and it just seemed chaotic LOL
My favorite is tough, they all have different tones and strengths, I love part 1, but I also just love Fuma Conspiracy and Dead or Alive, if that helps narrow it down? lol Least may be voyage to danger or return of pycal, only because everyone feels off, and the best part is being with these characters.

I really hope that since almost everything has been released outside of the italian Job and lupin vs Cats eye on bluray now that discotek goes back and does the 5 tv specials and green vs Red on bluray that are still only currently available on dvd and also rerelease island of Assassins on bluray since its getting costly now. And ofcourse do part 2 on bluay since its well overdue and plot of the fuma Clan (Fuma conspiracy)
I had no idea there was so much Lupin! I was actually looking for a video on the manga as I noticed Lupin has a few hardback collections that looked interesting, are they worth getting?
Oh yes! There is a whole world of Lupin the Third, just decades of heists and adventures in different forms ^^ And lots of videos from different fans all over the world and from different eras, so you can hear a lot of different perspectives on it.
I'm a big fan of the hardback mangas that came out recently, they have many chapters in one volumes, and a new translation. I'm also a big fan of checking things out before you buy, so if you want to read a bit online before you make a purchase, I say go for that!
