The solar lantern probably has solar light batteries, I know Big Lots used to sell the batteries. I think it's seems crazy solar lights still have batteries. If that's not it maybe you can pick up a cheap solar lantern and switch the solar part out. You could also put some of your flowers in it and set it next to a fireplace if you have one. I knew you would pick up those stools, those were a great find and they are now beautiful
Have just found your channel and now deep into binge watching. I’m a big thrift flipper and love your creativity and style. I always tell my friends, don’t look at what it is, look at what you want it to be.
Lovely video!! Thank you so much for the inspo!! When you melt candle wax, you might want to use a double boiler method (if you don't have one, you could put water in your pot & put a tin can in to put the wax in). The wax is extremely flammable so the double boiler method distributes the heat better
The candles turned out very nicely. The reason the 2nd one was a bit caved in is because as the wax cools it condenses and brings down the center. If you will leave the candles to completely harden and save enough wax to cover the top again that will cause you to get a nice smooth and flat finish. Also, pouring the wax as smoothly and gently and slowly as possible causes the wax to be more smooth that it might be otherwise. You did a good job, especially if this was your first attempt.
Hi Tiffany, try changing the rechargeable battery in your solar light. You already know it works, it is just the battery itself is bad. Great ideas, thanks for sharing.
You are fortunate to have a VERY nice GW Outlet, with apparently many VERY nice donations! Ours is a lot more junky and although there's still plenty of treasure to be found, it takes a bit more work to make them over. Your ideas certainly work for both new and old items. Thank you for all your ideas!
It must be hard to shop with 1 hand! LOL! but you seem very good at it, I must say. I think because the bread box was so shiny to start and the vinyl is so sticky, that is what makes the paint come off. Probably a light sanding might help. This happened to me on a plastic container I tried to paint and add vinyl to. Some really nice finds! I don't know why anyone shops for brand new anymore!
Tiffany, you are the Queen of Possibilities!!!!! I love watching your mind work...so flexible and willing to use your skills and great flights of imagination!!!! You absolutely GO GIRL!!!!!
You are very welcome, I really like your taste. You have a very good voice, I watched a bunch of videos, one right after the other, left cheeky thumps and an Abo. Greetings from Germany 🙋♀️🌟
Absolutely A Fantastic Job You Did With Each Item You Purchased, I am so Impressed!!! Thank You for Sharing Your Techniques With Us and Giving A New Way of Changing Items to A More High End Appearance!!! Marley free m Missouri
I don't know if this has already been said but I know a decorating hack is to put down a paint layer that's the same colour as your base (e.i black) or medium then when it's dry paint your real colour over the top then any bleed through won't be seen anyway. Hope this helps 😊
Wow - everything is so pretty! Those bar stool are wonderful! I love the bread tin, & the two interesting basket totes (glad you left them as-is). I think the solar light might have a battery in it, or you can replace the cell (can’t remember exactly but I don’t think they need to be tossed). You found really nice quality faux flowers/greenery. I’m really enjoying your videos!
I love thrifting with you! just love imagining how I can use things. oh the after on those bar stools - WOW. when using that oven cleaner spray you need a mask for sure!
I love your videos. You are so creative. All your finds were amazing. I am stunned at how beautifully the bar stool chairs turned out. Well done to your husband for doing a fabulous paint job, and he redid the upholstery. Honestly, as those chairs were before, I really didn't like them. I was so curious to see how you could make those ugly chairs look different. Not only did you make them look totally different, you both made them look stunning. Wow. Well done. Thank you for all the great tips. I am amazed at how many amazing things get thrown into those bins. I just went to a second hand shop today and bought a big pink metal heart. I couldn't leave it behind for 75 cents. I was going backwards and forwards in my head about it and didn't take it at first. After I paid for my purchases I saw a Christmas cow bell hanging on a corner shelf which I missed. I loved to bell and decided to buy that and the metal heart after all. Lol. 😂 You have given me a great idea to paint the heart white, and distress it. 👌😉 Thank you. I think it was the pink colour that was putting me off. I was particulary stressed out today. I have so much chalk paint and pray paints for all my creative projects and it didn't enter my mind to spray the heart white. I just wanted to tell you this because sometimes you might not realise just how great you are at giving us great ideas. Enjoy your lovely finds. 👏👏🎉🤗💜
Aw, thank you for sharing, Janine! Those sounds like fun finds! I’m so happy to hear that you are coming away with inspiration and able to put it into action! Hope your project goes well! 💕😊
That solar basket would be great to store cooking utensils in….your house is beautiful…your are a lucky girl to have such a talented husband….gorgeous stools
Tiffany, I just found you over the holidays. What an inspiration you are. You have opened me up to a whole world of repurposing thrift items. Keep posting.
I love your finds & creativity Tiffany. On those solar lights.. I've had great success with replacing the rechargeable batteries that are in the solar unit. Open the back, undo those little screws, and put in fresh re-chargeable batteries. The ones from Ikea work fine for me. Give it a go. If they don't work, means the solar unit isn't working anymore. I also clean off the top of the solar pack, dirt & grime can hinder the recharging.
Yes! I have had luck changing the batteries in solar lights. I previously didn't know they had batteries and would toss them when they stopped working.
Thank you, Cindie! 💕 I’ll definitely be sharing more of our home over time and I’ll be sure to give you a little tour of our Christmas decor once that’s up! 🎄😊 Thanks for joining me here!

The candle just needed more wax. It just settled while drying. Happens a lot. Just add more hot wax. Wrap the wick around a pencil & pour the wax in. You did good for your first time. 😉

I’ve gotta say you are so lucky to be able to grab something to store your items in! Our local Goodwill Bins Store barely even has enough shopping carts for 10 people!! LOL!!
Oh bummer! Recently it’s definitely been harder to get a cart. I saw a used one online and the thought crossed my mind to purchase it. 😜 I decided that may be taking my role as a Goodwill Bins shopper a bit too far…lol.
Beautiful video ❤..To prevent bleed through in your painting from dark to light,,Spray matte clear coat on first,,,dry ,then paint light shade
Thanks Liz! 💕😊

You can also use a heat gun to melt the top layer evenly on the candle to get rid of the divot. 😊

I think the white paint bled under the vinyl stencil used (the paint didn’t come off I don’t think).

Thanks, Debra! I do love white and neutrals together as well! 🥰
Put the candle in the oven at 200 degrees until it melts flat. A tip from the Canterbury Cottage.
Great tip! Thank you for passing that along, Jan! 💕
I have found some of the solar lights actually have a replaceable battery in them. If the solar panel surface is still pretty clean and functioning you can often get them working well by putting in a new recharable battery.
Great tip, Lorraine! Thank you for sharing! 💕
Just melt the top of the candle and it will automatically flatten out. You can use a heat gun or hair dryer. You sure are creative and in a very good way!
Thank you so much, Carol! 🤗
Good finds and nice make-overs! You have a cabbage slicer used to make saurekraut. It looks like it's missing a piece.

I think the tear drop baskety thing was a holder for mason bee tubes to hang in your garden. At least I saw one being used like that in Portland Oregon 😊

Who would have thought?
I thought it would look great as a single toilet roll storer instead of having those base with a pole type holders that store toilet paper. 😂
