I enjoyed watching your interaction and monitoring of your patient. The non-confrontational stretching techniques are a lovely way to end the session. Thanks for sharing.
Catherine Somerville Thank you for your great comments. I love my work and I always strive to work with the horse as an individual and listen to their needs 😊
I’m a massage therapist and working on just people is hard work. I can only imagine how much harder it is to work on a large animal feels like after a day at work. Looks like a awesome job though. The horse looks so relaxed.
Alejandra Mendez Thank you for liking the video, I'm glad you enjoyed it! My work is always developing and I'm hoping to get some more videos on here again soon! It can be hard work but your body becomes conditioned to the level of work 😊
You have a beautiful job, the only part that made me feel very nervous was the part you were standing behind the horse. It's obvious the horse knows you, but still, I wouldn't risk standing behind any horse.
Hi - thank you for watching the demo! I would want to know what has caused the atrophy to take place, once you know what the cause is you can work with the body as a whole. The main benefit to atrophy via massage is to enhance blood circulation which enhances muscular health, regular massage in the atrophied muscle region but also to look at adjacent muscles that may also have been effected. I hope that helps 🙂
I have done remedial massage therapy for humans and hated it. I enjoyed doing the massage but was compromising my back and fingers from relentless back to back massage and overwhelmed by treating 6 people per day. I'm interested in doing equine massage therapy but do wonder if I would be capable of handling it. If I couldn't handle it for humans then I dont know how i would go for horses 😔 Rela
Hi Laura thank you very much for sharing your amazing video I am just starting to learn equine massage starting my a/p I tried to read your email address with a struggle haha but I have lots of questions to ask. Main question would be when could start to ride a horse after a massage treatment.?i will try to call your number if you don’t mind. Am nit a wiredo I am a sports massage therapist of 23yrs but want to cross over to horses thank you again.
Hi there - thank you for watching the demo! I usually advise my clients to give their horse a good 24 hours off any type of work following a treatment so that the horse gets the maximum benefit and the body has a chance to adjust to the changes that have taken place. I hope that helps 🙂

Hello, I would like to have a question.
How would you massage a horse that has muscle atrophy?

Just a suggestion...take it or leave it...make a connection, don't use the nose band
