- Come and listen to one of the most beautiful and relaxing sounds... the call of the loons. Nestled inside of the Adirondack Mountains, on one of the many amazing lakes, reside these birds. The sounds are great for relaxing your mind and bringing peacefulness. Calming. Great for studying, sleep, and just pure enjoyment! Enjoy friends!

beautiful but sounds are too frequent. It's over done. you can tell its fake
I took this footage myself several years ago on a three day Backcountry camping trip in the Adirondacks. I camped on an island in a remote lake. I woke up at the crack of dawn and saw this gorgeous view and had to get the footage. I set my GoPro on a rock outcropping jutting off the island and into the lake and just let it record.
The loon calls are clearly looped for the audio in the video. However, I would argue that the spacing between calls is absolutely adequate. I've heard loons calls more frequent than this. One time, at Cedar River flow, while fishing from my kayak in the early morning, I saw a loon calling over and over and over. The sound of its call was traveling across the lake and echoing off a nearby mountain. The loon, thinking it was another loon answering back, kept vocalizing over and over and over. This went on for about two hours. I've also laid in my tent at night and listened to loon calls for hours on end...way into the early AM hours.
My point is that loon calls happen in different ways and often in ways we don't expect unless we are out there experiencing it ourselves. Also, this is a relaxation video intended to help people relax and drift off into calming imagination.
