FYI: as a teenager I found an old oil drum and brought it home to do this and believe me, however hard you think it is to make one it's at least 5x harder.
Turns out you've really gotta know what you're doing and not just bash away or you'll eventually weaken the metal and it'll crack and be unplayable. I ruined one side, and thought I understood how much and hard to hit it by learning from my mistakes and then proceeded to ruin the other side 😅. I think I wasted about a week in total and got oil stains in my car.

      Props that you tried though.
We used to make bows and crossbows when we were teenagers. But literally had no idea of how to go about it, and I am pretty sure the library even didn't have that sort of how-to technical book.
Eventually my group of friends worked out a lot of the tricks other people already knew, and we mane some fairly good crossbows, each one better than the next.
Now you can look for a tutorial for anything on the net.

The slave owners in the Caribbean Islands took away the drums so the African slaves could not play music. This was in fear they would retaliate. Years later after slavery the Africans on the islands eventually ended up making drums out of tin barrels. And what a beautiful sound they created. History is harsh but it will make you wise my friends. Let all mankind learn from their mistakes.

@Jay Cee if you’re referring to “Day O or Banana Boat” that is a *traditional Jamaican song* about the overnight workers on docks loading bananas onto boats. The song you probably know was made in *1956.*
